This book is kind of kooky, but that just adds to its intrigue. I liked what she had to say about the dangers of a secular humanist agenda in the public schools, something which needs to be exposed since many well-meaning people assume that state schools do not have a dogmatic philosophical bent, which is actually impossible since all education must have some sort of philosophy behind it if its going to say anything. Since Christianity under the banner of religion in general has been outlawed in most state schools, we are left with a secular humanist approach. Somewhat ironically, the reigning secular humanism in state schools is also keen to embrace vague spirituality and psychic phenomenon, I remember a gifted and talented class in which I was instructed about how to develop my "third eye", for example.

Ms. Michaelson is spot on when it comes to the use of divination tools such as tarot, ouija boards, ect., the seeking out of "spirit guides" (i.e. demons), psychic practice and spiritism in general..these are all very bad ideas.

However, quite commonly people who are redeemed from one way of life (in Ms. Michaelson's case an extreme form of occultic practice) are tempted to condemn anything that even hints of their former ways, thus we have in this book a condemnation of the roleplaying game dungeons and dragons, comic books, card games, toys that have any reference to magic, sorcerous smurfs, and the infamously malevolent care bears. This part of the book is quite entertaining and is actually why I give it 3 stars, for the sheer entertainment of it.

If you take this book with a grain of salt I think you will enjoy it too.

Everything is Satanic.
There you go, I just summed it up for you. No need to buy this book anymore. Move along.
I don't understand why this book even needed to be written. All the author had to do was say "everything that isn't explicitly Christian is Satanic" and be done with it. Halloween is satanic, Saturday morning cartoons are satanic, Star Wars, rock music, anything that mentions magic at all, fairies, unicorns, imaginary friends, all satanic. As an actual source of advice on anything, 1 star. As comedy? A solid 4.

Um, yeah, I don't think there's satanism in every cartoon, but boy did this fascinate me as a 12 year old.

I bought this at a thrift store because HOW COULD I NOT. It’s incredibly stupid. But an entertaining read.

Found this book in a bag of paperbacks in my great grandma's house and decided to read it for just for kicks. Even though I am a Christian, this book just screamed "Satanic Panic" to me and while I do believe evil is out there, I feel due to her past with New Age-ness and a psychic surgeon (what even?!) she sees it everywhere now. I do think she has a point though with what is being taught in schools, I am in the camp that (unless its a private religious school) any religion should be kept out of schools but have noticed them sneaking it in.

Of the terrible Christian books we have read, the best(?) thing about this one is that it spawned more. I ordered four more books because of this one.
This is some grade A Satanic Panic nonsense. Gets a little repetitive, particularly at the end, but there is some excellent insanity in here if you're into that sort of thing.

My childhood religious trauma on display right here, folks! Featuring: Everything is Satanic! Won't someone think of the children?!

This is equal parts hilarious and infuriating, and I was simultaneously laughing and rolling my eyes - right until I got to the part where this dumb bitch truly believes there was ritualistic Satanic child abuse happening at the MacMartin preschool (among others, that's just the most well-known). Then I wanted to set everything on fire, and not even the pearl-clutching over rock music could bring me back to the hilarity I felt in the previous chapters.
