Finally I am back on track with Paloma Beck's Seven Sin Sisters Series. Yes that's right I am through living dangerously and am reading book four (which conveniently enough cones after book Three). Of course I may be walking a bit on the wild side as I haven't read book one yet.
I will say this series flows beautifully together each book builds off the previous books. Which of course just proves my point, always read in order.
Vanished Pride is a bit different from the first three (ok, lying different than books 2 & 3). While both Eternal Envy and Holiday Gem have erotic tones they also have action and suspense. Vanished Pride is completely erotic, with only a bid to the ongoing storyline. BUT, this is not me complaining, Ms. Beck pulls it off beautifully.
Paige is the fourth sister to have found her mate, except Paige holds the sin of pride. This pushes her to remedy and control the relationship. Without considering the needs of her mate she negotiates some time. They will mate after she competes in a world renown baking contest. Part of Paige is doing this to give them both time. Paige doesn't just want a destined mate, she wants love. Not an unreasonable concept but the Valendite Breed Species connect completely with their mates. Something beyond love and Paige knows this.
Donovan met Paige at her sister Layla's pronouncement ceremony. After watching Madden jump through hoops Van decides to work with Paige to give her the space she needs...only it's messing with his head and causing him to make decisions that could hurt both him and the team. Not good. It's time for Van to take Paige in hand, literally.
And now the steam begins.. pure sex! If you are looking for a well written erotic read, this is your book. What makes it work is Ms. Beck's attention to emotions. She makes sure the characters remain true to themselves.
And when real life interferes and the team is called to action Van seamlessly slides into character (and so does Paige).

REVIEW: Vanished Pride is the 4th installment in The Seven Sin Sisters series. This is my second time reading one of Beck’s stories and my 2nd installment of The Seven Sin Sisters and so far this has been my favorite of the two. Though I enjoyed Madden in Lustful Cravings, I think Donovan had a lot more to offer as a character. The story keeps the same interesting plot, the breed fighting against an organization that now knows about their existence and that it is doing everything possible to use that information to their advantage, tying to cause chaos and death in their path.
I like how the plot kept the story interesting throughout its 98 pages. I was glad to see that Nassir may not longer be a threat to their race but knowing there is someone else behind his crimes keeps readers on the edge. I am a fan of this series and I love how nice Paige & Donovan’s story develops. It is short yes, but don’t let that fool you, the passion and desire is intense. Donovan a dominant by nature helps Paige overcome her sin and in terms help her understand their eternal union. I really enjoyed the story and I am looking forward to reading more of the breed. I think I have to go back and read book 2 & 3 because I know I am missing some hot and steamy stories. Have some water ready because you will need it, Donovan is sexy, smart and very dominant, everything you want to see in a man like him. Paige compliments him, together they make this story sweet yet steamy. I think Paloma Beck did a great job bringing these two characters together, great work and I can’t wait to read her next novella.

My thoughts:
I really love this series. I love paranormal romance and this series does not disappoint me.
The Valendite Breed are unique paranormal beings. As are the Seven Sin Sisters.
This is a great continuation of the ongoing battle of the Valendite Breeds fight for survival and the seven sister’s roles in their lives.
If you love paranormal romance, I highly recommend this series.

I really love this series. I love paranormal romance and this series does not disappoint me.
The Valendite Breed are unique paranormal beings. As are the Seven Sin Sisters.
This is a great continuation of the ongoing battle of the Valendite Breeds fight for survival and the seven sister’s roles in their lives.
If you love paranormal romance, I highly recommend this series.

The fourth book in the series is a captivating and charming romance. Paige’s soul sin is the sin of Pride and she insists she must accomplish all her goals before she can the Valendite Breed, Donovan. The time has come for Donovan to claim his mate, so he’ll just have to take her in hand and their Pronouncement will have to be sooner rather than later before the forces mounting against them attack.
This fast paced plot keeps readers well entertained with some suspense, drama, and romance. The author gives the story life with vivid imagery that captures the imagination and the strong compelling characters are easily related to and inspire lots of curiosity that has the reader wanting to know more.
The attraction between Paige and Donovan burns up the pages and the sex scenes, including quite a bit of spanking, scorch the reader with fiery passion but the relationship is hampered by Paige’s soul sin and Donovan’s over-protectiveness.
Tensions build as Donovan has to let Paige be bait in order to not only capture one of their enemies but to fulfill his promise to her. Paige has been excepted in the biggest cooking contest in Paris and she has to win. Her personnel business will grow if this happens. Things are going her way which is hard in her case because her sin is pride. Then Donovan shows up and it all goes to hell. Why did her mate have to show up now? He now has to talk her into mating and protect her from the villain that wants to destroy her and her sisters.
I cannot say enough about this series of books. The author is just fantastic. If she has experienced even half of what she has written then I am jealous. The love scenes are not only hot that full of love. Every woman wants what she writes when it comes to the relationships in her books.
The plot is once again fantastic but predictable. There are no surprises in these short novels but that is the way I like it. We all want evil to die and good to prevail.

This is the fourth book in the Seven Sin Sisters series. While it continues to unravel the prophecy of the seven sisters, it also incorporates the element of spanking. For generations, Donovan's family has practiced Domestic Discipline. When Donovan accepts his heritage and becomes open to this type of relationship with Paige, their Claiming is the sweetest yet.

I received this from NetGalley in exchange for an honest review. I have to say that I really enjoyed this one a lot. This one had some BDSM thrown in which I was not expecting but somehow the author made it work. This was another quick, steamy read but I am actually looking forward to the next one now.

Great book in a great series. There was some more depth to this book, that I enjoyed and didn't realize until now that was missing before. There are some scenes of bdsm, although I'm not a fan I was able to read through, even though it was toeing the line of my comfort level. Looking forward to the rest of this fantastic series.

Strong characters, Paranormal twists, Mating bonds, Outside threats and lots of steamy sensual scenes to fog up the pages with. What more could a reader ask for in an erotic romance. If not over the age of 18, walk away and come back a little later. Vanished Pride will be waiting to heat up your nights. My rating is 4 out of 5 stars.
