In this collection of humorous vignettes and comics, Abhinav Neelam peers through a cracked and twisted lens and finds the image... sharper.
The collection ranges the spectrum from the dark to the silly, from the absurd to the philosophical, from the fantastic to the mundane, sometimes all at once, but generally featuring mystified everyman protagonists and metaphorical armpit-tickling. In case you’re wondering, that’s definitely a good thing. Besides, nothing in this collection should take longer than a few minutes to read, which is again probably a good thing, since a far more interesting cat video is only an angry swipe away.
It can’t be promised however, that some of these tales won’t linger far longer than the time you take to read them, whether it is because of some profound message within, or far more likely, because your forehead stings from facepalming too hard.
I had a lot of laughs, smiles and (as promissed) plenty of face palm moments reading these short vignets. I love the humour and many absurd turns and seeing the development of the author. My favourites are "The Good Bad Woman", the witty poem "Love At First Sight" and the ants on the floor comic strips. Enjoyed the division into different fun glass themes and all the cute illustrations. Definetly looking forward to reading what he comes up with next.
