I love this series and I love these Characters! the mischief they get up to and the places that they go. Elizabeth brings them alive each time with such glamour and pizazz that the story feels alive right from the first. Each and every Ball is played out to perfection and you can feel yourself there.

I loved the Masked ball they are my fav balls of all time. If it was up to me I would throw one at least once a month...lol...we go to a Witches Ball every year in Ottawa for Halloween and it is my fav time of the year! I love to dress up in fancy costumes and dance the night away! We just don't do enough of these good things that they used to do back then.

The masked admirer in this one was genius! I don't know how many times it brought me to the edge of my seat or made me laugh. Jess and Ashley were adorable! poor Jonathan I still want to hit him over the head for what he is putting Johanna through but at the same time she has become a different person through it all and I don't know that he will ever be able to catch up now...lol

the villain in this one was a tricky little bugger and the company sure had to be tricky back to catch him! He wasn't the brightest of villains though...lol

I highly recommend this series and all of Elizabeth's books as they are all amazing! go and get your copies today!

Improving, But Still Issues

I have read this author's work for a while now, and I have almost always found issues with the plot, characterization, and writing mechanics. I'm happy to say that she is improving—at least in terms of character—though she still sometimes misses the mark. Perhaps she's been writing enough novels that she is learning her craft, for writing is truly a craft that can be worked on. She still has issues with usage and punctuation. She doesn't seem to know the rules of commas, especially in speech and around the names of characters. As there is a fair amount of dialogue in this book, it was a trifle annoying. I still found this to be a fun book because I enjoyed the characters the author created in the hero and heroine and the Viennese component as it is such an unusual setting for a Regency book. I particularly enjoyed the masked man scenes, especially as they became humorous as the book went on. I look forward to seeing continued improvement in her writing and hope she continues to write great characters.

ANOTHER FEATHER IN THEIR CAP!!!
Incredible! Elizabeth never ceases to amaze me with her wit, ingenuity, grit and immense talent, bestowing all the heartfelt essence, sentiment and nuance, laying out all the passion and finesse, wrapping this baby up sleek, shiny and tight. Intertwined, combined and tightly woven, showcasing the explosive ups and agonizing downs, breathtaking in it's simplicity and awe-inspiring in it's depth, drawing our characters closer than they could have ever anticipated. Chicanery runs rampant and deception is rife, noting the drama, turmoil, intrigue, revelations, spiraling suspense and unnerving situations, along with a boatload of danger while dodging calamity, you have one mind-blowing masterpiece. A surging vortex of vexing mishaps and surprising circumstances, along with the intimidating trials and challenging tribulations, exposing the deadly twists and wicked turns, putting our characters through their paces. The magnetism, attraction and chemistry collides, displaying the thrilling emotions, drawing our characters closer until you feel the electrifying hum running rampant through your veins. The characters are complex and genuine with traits and qualities that add depth and diversity, transforming into charismatic personalities. The scenes are strikingly sharp with abundant details and descriptions that feel as though you were transported to ground zero with them. Fantastic job Elizabeth, thanks for sharing this little guy with us.

Jessica Farrington has falling in love with Lord Ashley Sinclair, but has a few doubts about his commitment to her. When Jessica receives a letter indicating that someone is trying to kill her father, Lord Farrington, in Vienna, she, her friends Joanna Devile, along with Arianna and her husband Lord David Whitborne (who is an agent for the Crown), her aunt Countess Olivia St. Denis(also an agent for the Crown), and Lord Sinclair travel to Vienna. The agents for the crown are to assist with catching the would-be killer before anything else happens. Just after they arrive, an attempt to abduct Lord .Farrington is thwarted by two Americans that just happened to be passing, but he was somewhat injured. Through the efforts of Joanna the potential culprit is identified. An attempt to poison Lord Farrington also occurs. During the course of the story Lord Sinclair dons a disguise in order to woo Lady Jessica, and he unwittingly reveals his identity to Jessica so the whole situation is really funny. In addition the culprit is apprehended through a ruse about Lord Farrington having died of poisoning. Joanna, who has proven to be a valuable asset to this and previous investigations to: \Lord Whitborne is asked to become agent.
Ms. Lance has again penned and excellent story that grips the reader and keeps him in suspense throughout the book. It is highly recommended and you should look forward to the nest on the series, “Unraveled”. Don’t miss this one.

Jessica Farrington was in love with Lord Ashley Sinclair, but she is convinced he doesn’t feel the same about her. When she gets a letter telling her that there has been another assassination attempt on her father, she must leave London immediately for Vienna. Agents for the Crown are trying to find out who is trying to murder Lord Farrington. When Jessica’s best friends join her on the trip, she finds out that Ashley will be going too (as he is an Agent). Apparently Ashley does have feelings for Jessica, but he feels she won’t return his affection and does not let her know how he feels.

At the masked ball, Jessica will meet Lord Knight, a handsome and romantic masked Romeo, who will take Jessica’s breath away. He pursues her, visits her balcony, steals kisses, makes her heart soar – and his lovely eyes and wicked smile remind her so much of her love, Ashley . . . Will they find the culprit trying to kill Ashley’s father? And will she finally get an admission of love from the man she wants in her life? Grab your copy and find out all the details!

Ms. Lance gives us another terrific story with this next installment of her Agents for the Crown series. This series has really been amazing. I have to make sure I have a good slot of time when I sit down to read these books, because once I start, I can't put them down. The storyline really grabbed my interest from the very beginning and I was hooked right through to the very end. Ms. Lance did a great job of including just the right mix of mystery, intrigue, and romance. No one element overpowers the other. The story and the scenes really come to life with her vivid descriptions and attention to detail and transport you back in time to the exact moment she is describing. The story is engaging and the suspense keeps you turning the pages to find out what happens next. Such a beautifully written story - I highly suggest you read not only this, but the whole series!

A really engaging piece.
This series is turning out to be a really engaging group of books. In this one Jessica cares for Ashley Sinclair yet does not see him feeling for her in the same way. When she is called to her father’s side her dear friends join her. Now in Vienna, she meets Lord Knight who with late-night kisses and visits has stolen her heart. While all this is happening there is an assassin to find and stop. You will understand the title as you read the piece it was a very good choice on the author part. Loved how it was written with such amazing characters. If you like historical that has a bit of mystery and romance rolled up in one pretty package then do yourself a favor and pick up this one. Oh, FYI the other books in the series are awesome too. I did receive a free copy of this book and voluntarily chose to review it.

Another brilliant addition to the series

This is another brilliantly written story that continues a great series. All the characters are beautifully portrayed, and have another mystery to solve. This is a spicy plot that follows a group of friends, who have some emotional journeys to achieve their dreams while solving crimes as agent's for the crown.
