Một triết gia cô đơn gặp gỡ bất ưng với Léo, con chó lông màu nâu to đùng… và biết nói tiếng người. Sau nhiều giây phút miễn cưỡng chẳng muốn nói gì, rồi người và chó đã đối thoại với nhau.

Triết gia tin chắc như đinh đóng cột rằng con người ở bậc cao hơn cả, là tồn tại duy nhất biết nói năng, biết suy lý, biết lao động và sống chung thành xã hội. Đối mặt với con người uyên bác vây quanh bởi sách vở, con chó liệu có biết thuyết phục nổi ông bạn bằng giọng điệu của con chó hoang, tự do và hạnh phúc chăng?

Dần dà, theo đà trò chuyện, con chó sẽ cho chúng ta thấy rằng Triết học chẳng phải là công việc chỉ dành riêng cho các nhà chuyên môn hoặc dành riêng cho người lớn tuổi.

Philosophiebücher werden ja gerne auf eine spielerische, leicht verdauliche Ebene heruntersimplifiziert um das Endresultat komplexer Gedankengänge greifbarer zu machen. Gemäß dem Zitat von Albert Einstein: "Wenn du es nicht einfach erklären kannst, hast du es nicht gut genug verstanden." liegt die Herausforderung dabei, die Balance zwischen der Übersetzung in die simple Sprache und der gedanklichen Nuss, die es für die Erkenntnis zu knacken gilt, zu finden.

Bei einem Autorenpaar aus einer Literaturwissenschaftlerin und einem Philosophieprofessor kann man ja immerhin erwarten, dass das ganz gut gelöst sein könnte.
Aber leider fällt es enttäuschend flach aus, selbst für ein Kinderbuch hätte man sich mehr Tiefe und generell mehr Themen gewünscht.
Ein sprechender Hund soll einem garstigen Philosophen, der ein Buch schreiben möchte, die Frage beantworten, was den Menschen vom Tiere unterscheide. Es wird dabei erörtert, dass der Mensch ein Gemeinschaftstier ist, aber dennoch lügt, um sich sozialer Normen zu fügen. Dass ihn das unfrei macht, davon überzeugt der sprechende Hund den Philosophen als sie beide beim Picknick wie die Tiere essen und der Philosoph zwar zugesteht, dass das Spaß macht aber Menschsein doch noch mehr Spaß macht. Ende. Auf das Buch des Philosophen wird nicht weiter eingegangen und für einen Philosophen fallen ihm auch echt wenig Fragen ein, die man einem sprechenden Hund stellen könnte.

Cuốn này cũng khá thú vị nhưng mà mình hơi quá tuổi để đọc rồi. Tiếc ghê hồi nhỏ không được tiếp cận với mấy cuốn như thế này.

La description du livre décrit plus ou moins tout qui déroule dans cet ouvrage. Quant à l’exécution et la réussite des auteurs de bien exprimer leur message, c’est autre chose. En le lisant, il m’a semblé que le philosophe et le chien Léo ne dit pas autant qu’ils ne disent pas. Le non dit était assez présent dans cet ouvrage, donc j’ai eu un peu de mal à bien intégrer ce que les deux voulaient dire, vraiment. En plus, à la fin des conversations entre le philosophe et le chien, j’ai ressenti une sensation qu’il y a quelque chose qui n’était pas fini, comme un petit cliffhanger. Peut-être si je prenais un peu plus de temps à bien réfléchir sur ce que je viens de lire ça va éclairer les choses, mais il me faut m’y mettre. L’inclusion des citations à la fin des philosophes/figures historiques suivi par des questions analytiques par contre était super bien fait, vraiment un point de départ pour des conversations avec les enfants/étudiants qui lisent cet ouvrage.

The description of this book pretty much describes everything that goes on in it. As for the execution and the success of the authors in expressing their message, that’s another story. While reading it, it seemed to me what the philosopher and the dog Léo did say was not as much as what they did not say. The things unsaid were rather present in this book, so I had a bit of a hard time to integrate what the two really wanted to say. What’s more, at the end of the conversation between the philosopher and the dog, I felt as though there was something which was not finished, like a little cliffhanger. Maybe if I took a bit more time to really reflect on what I have read it would enlighten me, but I’d really have to pour myself into it. On the other hand, the inclusion of quotes from philosophers and historical figures at the end followed by analytical questions was really well done, a great jumping off point for conversations with the children/students who read this book.
