Between Stephanie Meyer's "Twilight" and Charlaine Harris's "Sookie Stackhouse" novels everything vampire sounds the same to me. With that being said, it took me awhile to get into this book. I did enjoy the lost Emma feels for fiancée Henry who disappears close to their wedding date and how she tries to hide her true feelings from current boyfriend Ian. This disguise is soon realized by Emma as faulty when Ian confesses his hurt feelings behind her mistakenly calling him Henry- and not just once.
Even though Henry is Emma's one true love/soul mate, Ian seems to be a great guy who adores Emma. Emma has not learned the expression, "if you can't be with the one you love, love the one you're with." The other characters in the book seem boring with the exception of Mike- Henry's vampire guardian and Mila- Henry's maker and sex partner. Explanations are not given to how or who made Mike and why he is so loyal to Mila.
As far as the sex scenes go, it all seemed the same to me no matter who the partners were. I was more turned on reading the sexual encounters in "Anticipation", and other LM stories like "MILF" & "X-Art Encounters Endles Orgasm." I give this book a solid 3 stars for the mysterious storyline surrounding Mike & Mila. Also, I am curious at what lengths Henry will go to in order to protect Emma in future episodes if needed. All in all not my favorite LM book but intriguing in its own way.

Be prepared to spend the whole day with Bitten. You will not be able to put this book down. I was completely taken in within the first few paragraphs. The characters are amazing!! In the beginning you will be so intrigued and caught up in Emma's emotions. Have you ever loved someone so completely they were you every thought? Only to loose them to the unknown? Emotions will be all over the place and OH WHAT A JOYOUS RIDE it will be. Is there such a thing as soulmates? Would you tempt death to be with the one you love?
Bitten was simply amazing!!! It is a fantastic love story but please know that the erotica rapped up this book is H.O.T. I can definitely see why Emmas was so taken with Henry. He is my kind of man. Lexi Maxxwell has created a fan for life.

The only reason I didn't give this book five stars is that the sex scenes were almost too much. I love erotica as much, if not more than the next girl, but the bodily fluids discussed in this book turned me off. It was just a little much. I loved the story and can't wait for the sequel.

Loved it! Can't wait for the follow up and will hopefully read about someone being slapped or staked :)

Loved the story, but it ended in a cliffhanger without any sign of a sequel
