A man everyone loves to hate, including his fiancée! Damon Kelopatros was the ultimate businessman, considering that all things in life should be reduced down to a logical thought process, including selecting a wife. After hiring a firm, he went after his selection with formidable focus. What he hadn’t anticipated was being intensely attracted to the woman he’d emotionlessly selected. Nor had he anticipated actually respecting and admiring her. These were things that he wanted for his mistress, but did not need in his wife – until he met Eva. And then he wanted all of her. He loved her smiles, her lush figure and her enchanting sense of humor. And he especially loved the way she fought him every step of the way. He found that winning her over was more of a challenge than he expected, but each victory was cherished more because it had been so difficult to win.
Eva couldn’t believe that a man would simply hire a firm to select a wife but Damon was the most emotionless, horrible, arrogant and reprehensible man she’d ever met. Unfortunately, he was also the only man who made her heart pound simply by a glance across the room, or by just a touch of his warm, strong fingers. How could she feel so much for a man so irritating? Then she discovered that the man had his softer side too. As she fought him over every detail, she also learned that the man wasn’t as cold as he wanted everyone to think he was. He was kind and gentle, sweet and caring. And she was falling in love with a man she’d originally thought was the devil.
USA Today™ best-selling author Elizabeth Lennox writes contemporary romance novels featuring sheiks, business tycoons, royalty, and other sexy rich men. Her male lead characters are smart, driven and determined, but can still be sensitive and vulnerable. Elizabeth’s female lead characters come from a variety of backgrounds. They are strong, intelligent and independent, while still feminine and caring.
Although she wanted to be a romance novelist since the eighth grade, that dream only became a reality for her in 2009 and a full time job in 2012. Along the way, she received a BS in History and held different jobs in the real estate, government consulting, and financial industries. All during that time, though, she was always writing, using her personal experiences, dreams, and travels throughout the United States, Europe and the Caribbean as backdrops for her stories. To date, she has written over eighty books and sold over 5.1 million copies. Her free novellas have been downloaded over 8 million times since 2013.
Elizabeth lives in Virginia with her husband and two children. Their home is just outside of Washington, D.C., and many of her novels are set in this area.
Another lead female that just falls short and I read a lot of this authors books and that seems to be a trend she's got the submissive females down apt but her strong females all fall apart as the story goes. Either she's a strong women or she's submissive and lead female who says she's strong and does nothing to back that claim up just annoys me so much. And not one single issue between the couple is resolved they both have different views on some serious issues and suddenly you have sex and Ur in love and that stuff doesn't matter anymore?? Ugh so unbelievable
Thee two love birds were always at each other’s throats so I was pure genius how the author ended this love story! Their arguments or bates were adorable because the Russian always outsmarted the fiancée.
No... just no. The author was trying to go for an alpha male but the H just came off as overbearing and rapey!!! Te female lead couldn’t make up her mind. Please decide if you’re an independent and confident woman with views you can’t compromise on or a spineless submissive.
Eva- the female lead was a total pushover. Very sad indeed. Damon totally railroaded her on every occasion. Eva seems to be spineless most of the time. I coukd not relate to her at all.
This is another winner for Elizabeth Lennox! Damon Kelopatros is looking for a wife/fiancee for a short time to be his hostess at business functions. One of his busines associates offers his daughter, Eva Fontini, to be his make believe fiancee!!. Eva hates Damon! She is very outspoken and must agree for her father's sake. You must read this book to find out which hard headed person wins!
There are only a few books of her that I actually like. Some of them have potential to be a good like this one but she didn't use those potentials. The girl from the opera was useless. She never told him that she's a writer. Or her childhood.
