So welcome back to the Grassi family drama in Navesink Bank and yes, they are one of the local Crime families.
Savannah Vanjoy. Mom = Sunshine Vanjoy (Yes, really.) Recently opened a restaurant in a nearby town. But they didn’t always Live the conventional way….. I mean come on; the Lady’s name is sunshine. I could tell you how free spirited; she was and she brought her daughter up in the same fashion.
Savannah and her mother, Sunshine were somewhat of flight risk both of them moving around from place to place, never quite feeling settled, never truly giving themselves roots enough time to dig deep. Until now
Nino Grassi, might be a big bad mafia man , and self-made…. But the guy had a heart of gold…… just ask Josie how sweet and kind Nino could be ….. after Nino finishes working on his sister in law’s car, he drove to the next town to grab an early morning bite only to find himself in the middle of a shootout and a woman pushing him out of the way and protecting him….. Nino being Nino, when he realizes that Savannah saved his life and she Got injured in the crossfire, he went all full force Protective mode.

I just love how each one of JG’S books leave you wanting more & more stories from the side characters …… I can’t wait to hear more about the siblings. And my Curious mind Would love to know more about August & the Traveler

I read every new release by JG because it’s always going to ok. Not always the best but always familiar, quick to read, safe in all ways that matter to me and her heroes are damn near perfect.
But sometimes, she writes a book that’s better than expected. The formula and writing style is still there but this one made me feel more connected to the characters and I truly believed their progressing relationship was so natural and that those two were truly meant to meet and be each others person.
I think it’s a given that I love the Grassis and their family dynamics but I adored the heroine’s relationship with her mother and how healthy and loving it was. It truly touched me. I love seeing mothers mother and their children loving them for it and showing that with words and actions. It was just so beautiful.
I’m adding this one to my list of JG’s favourites.

Savannah’s character had been my favorite so far. Her outlook on life is positive yet realistic, her actions and thought process reflecting her personality. Her and her mother’s relationship was a highlight.
Nino didn’t really have a defining characteristic, but I loved him all the same. His devotion and thoughtfulness toward Savannah was swoonworthy.
The pacing of this one was pretty good. They spent enough time together for their relationship to feel genuine, and the subplot of the shooting in the beginning was weaved in without being overbearing. Although we never really figured out why Nino specifically was being targeted (I mean, there was a throwaway line, but still—unclear).
I’ll be seeing y’all for the next one 🫡

The Grassi family is a pack of handsome, smart and complicated men that were raised from strong, loving women and, therefore, have a lot of respect for all of them.
Not only the women from their family but generally all women.
They also have a lot of rules in the Family.
For example, never harm a woman or child. Or never bring an outsider any harm because of Family business.
Yes, the Grassi's are a mafia family in Navesink Bank.
Nino Grassi is the oldest son of one of the greatest, smartest and strongest woman in the Family.
I've to say that I'm in love with this book firstly for the amazing and beautiful relationship between the Grassi siblings and their mother and
Savannah and her mother, Sunshine.
It's so damn good for ones read about a good relationship with parents and a healthy childhood.
Authors always tend to blame childhood for everything or parents.
This story is the exact opposite.
This amazing mafia romance will give you all the warm and sweet feelings.

Savannah loves her mother and her mother adores her daughter and is her best friend.
They have never lived in one place for long because of her mother's hippie lifestyle. Either hotels or the van was their residence.
Until they were finally willing to stay in one place.
Sounds good? Yes, It's a beautiful, sweet and swoony romance.
Exactly what I needed for a relaxing day in my garden.

One of my favorite things about this book is the heroine and her mother's relationship. This is what all daughters really want to have with their mom's. Sadly, that is not the case for many so its nice to get to escape into a story and experience it.
The eldest Grassi, Nino, on the cousin side finally gets his story and its full of love (Savannah), Sunshine (Savannah's mother) and some danger.
I truly loved both Savannah and her mother's views on life. This was such a feel-good story.

I love this series. I live for the chance to go back into the Navesink universe. This author never creates a character, main or secondary that I don't fall in love with. This family, in particular, is really special. Its always a toss up on who is going to be my favorite. I have a funny feeling that its going to be Valley, or even cousin Smush. Even knowing thqt, I'm still looking forward to August next.

SATISFYING!
There is something satisfying about the Grassi men finding love. Each man has a different and interesting story and this was no exception. Savanna and Nino meet under crazy circumstances where he is the subject of a hit. Savanna saves him but ends up being the one who takes the bullets and saving Nino in the process. Once again we have been given a great storyline by this author.
Loved it and highly recommend this author!

So Boring, It's a Miracle the Pages Didn't Self-Combust.
No hook. No mystery. The hero's feelings for the heroine are as groundbreaking as discovering that water is wet. Yawn. If you're looking for a book that will make you question your life choices, this is definitely the one. Just be prepared to fight off the urge to nap while reading it.

Nino Grassi decides to get out of town for breakfast finding small Brunch Box Cafe, he doesn't expect it to involve a shootout and a woman pushing him out of the way and protecting him. Nino knows he is indebted to Savannah Vanjoy. Savannah is a ray sunshine and Nino wants to spend time with her but believes she doesn't deserve to be pulled into his world. However the more time he spends with her the more he is realizing he doesn't want to let her go.
Another wonderful book by this author. Savannah's mom is an absolute free spirit hoot, you will be laughing hard when she is in the story. I really enjoyed this one, had a little bit of everything in the story.

It feels like it was ages ago since the last time I've read a book by Jessica Gadziala, it has been a while, only 5 years, but I'm so happy that I got my hands in this book because it was just awesome! Loved every page! Savanna and Nino's story was sweet, a little bit spicy and with a proper dose of adventure!

Nino & Savannah's story. This one wasn't as engaging as the other books in the Navesink Universe. A little flat and boring with insta-love and not a lot of backstory. Nino is the older brother that indebted himself to Matteo's wife after she saved Mass. His heart of gold, loyalty, & eye crinkles make him swoon worthy! Savannah & her mom Sunshine are new and have opened a bakery/tea shop. Nino visits one morning and Savannah saves him from getting shot & she's hit. Nino takes it upon himself to care for her and sparks fly. Not bad but not that great. Looking forward to the next book

There is something about Nino's (this one & Twisted Emotions(=). I loved. He was so good even with the last book and how he is constantly helping. I loved Savannah and Sunshine's relationship - wholesome and just connected. I just really liked the story.

The Woman in Harm's Way is the fifth book in the Grassi Family series. This is Nino and Savannah’s story.
Nino is such a sweetheart! He still feels indebted to Josie for saving Matteo’s life and continues to prove this on a daily basis. However once Nino meets Savannah and realizes she stepped in front of a bullet for him, he’s indebtedness switches to her. The more time Nino spends with Savannah, the more he grows to care for her. He worries that she will not accept his job or the family business, but Nino soon learns that Savannah is tougher than he thought.
Savannah is beautiful. She’s happy and such a great leading lady. She falls for Nino the moment he walks into her and Sunshine’s (her mother’s) Brunch Bar. When Savannah saw the man with the gun, pure instinct had her pushing Nino to the ground. Savannah never could have imagined that single act would change her life for the better.
I really like both Nino and Savannah. Their chemistry was hot and their personalities were perfect for one another. I enjoyed the action in this book, and I liked that it felt as though we spent a good deal of time with these two main characters and got to know them.

5 Nino and Savannah Stars
The Woman in Harm's Way is the fifth book in the Grassi Family series by Jessica Gaziala.
It had everything we love from Jessica's books. Savannah and her Mam's relationship was so nice to read and Nino was everything I thought he would be. The secondary characters were as always great to read.
Another belter of a book in this series, I thoroughly enjoyed it.

A lovely story with likeable characters. I liked how Nino and Savannah were different and how it didn't matter eventually. It was a smooth mafia romance. I recommend it!

Great read. I loved Nino and Savannah. They were so hot together. Nino,finally got it together and just took what he wanted. Savannah is so open and loving. Her mom is something else! Great great read. It did like wrap,up the drama in two seconds though that part anticlimactic for sure

I adore the dynamic between the Grassi men and their mothers 🥰 I said it before, and I'll say it again, this is one of my absolute favorite fictional worlds to visit. SO GOOD! && Nino and Savannah's story is one that will have you smiling from ear to ear! Another amazing read from Jessica Gadziala!

The Grassi’s are an intriguing family and this is a lovely story of Nino and Savannah meeting with an explosive start.
The rest of Navesink Bank’s residents in Jessica Gadzielas world don’t make an appearance in this read but the Grassi family make up for it as well as introduction of Sunshine, who is Savannahs mother and really interesting.
The course of true love generally never runs smoothly and naturally this doesn’t but Savannah makes for a great role model in the midst of this mafia family adventure.
I really liked it but I still don’t understand why the ‘baddies’ did what they did and who they were.

I really enjoyed this story. I just love the Grassi family and happy that Nino got his one. But better than the Grassi family in this story is Savannah and her mom. I just absolutely love them in this story, and Savannah for Nino.

I love getting a new Grassi book. I think I know who the next book will be about, but I'm still excitedly waiting for a Val or Smush book. I find them intriguing.
I really like getting books where the heroine has no clue about the hero's criminal involvement. Having Savannah in the dark while she got to know Nino really helped solidify their relationship. It was a bit slow in the beginning which was surprising with how it started, but I really enjoyed how it all played out.
I can't wait for more.
