A practice game with the strong team Osaka Kiryu. Miyuki and Furuya turn the course of the game their way by striking out the opposing Ace. After that, Sawamura inherits the momentum of that game for his first time pitching in a real game!! Sawamura pitches, feeling strongly that he wants Miyuki, who became his reason to enter Seido, to acknowledge his skill. But he realizes that the new task at hand is to show his definite growth on the mound...!!

Coach Kataoka: "Furuya, I'm counting on you to properly defend for left field," "Sawamura...*internal sigh*"
Chris: I’m sorry. He’s a slow learner. Coach Kataoka: Yeah, I know
Ryousuke being his usual supportive self "we aren't expecting anything from you" such confidence-inspiring words i wonder why he's respectful to everyone else Miyuki, i wonder
get your man Eijun! there's a ba-thump in this scene for the feeling Eijun gets from pitching well with Miyuki, but I'm inclined to have it leaning more toward it being about the with Miyuki versus just the good pitch
good thing he has you Kuramochi
supposedly he does this to calm Kawakami down
Sawamura provides Kuramochi with many an opportunity to show off his high-kicks and wrestling moves. Some might say Kuramochi is drawn to Eijun's ass they'd be right. (that 3rd gif just looks like -mochi's humping Eijun geez) gifset here
I like the focus on the older players in this series. In this volume, we see why Tanba-san is (almost) the ace - the whole team trusts him. It’s kinda cool. The ending though! Onto the next one! 4 stars.
the contrast between the current ace, tanba, and the aces in training, miyuki and furuya, does such a good job of highlighting their passion for baseball!
