This book shows a lot of things Gandhi went through in a few pages. The way he went from a shy boy to a leader!
His determination and leadership was empowering and influential. And it shows that every individual, regardless of their religious beliefs, ethnicity, gender, or place of origin, deserves equal treatment and opportunities. It showed the perspective of everyone and Gandhi believed in equality and peace.

ALSO This book does a great job of showing his leadership qualities. And how he managed to fight with people against violence and helped the poor and slaves to get their rights And make a big change in this world.

Quite boring book. I read it with two 12 year-old girls as summer homework and although from the grammatical, sintactical and lexical point of view was suitable for their level, the whole reading was quite soporific. A lot of secondary characters that maybe are very famous in India, but in Italy we don't have a clue of who they are. It was difficult for me (adult) to keep track of all the secondary characters, you can imagine a 12 year old what can remember... I'm a teacher and I wouldn't suggest this as summer reading

A very informative and useful book for someone wanting to learn English. Gandhi is big father of all time. And his sentences sometimes hit me deeply.
One thing I don’t like is this book has so much name that you cannot remember, and hard to know who they are.

I rated it with 3 stars just because I don't like him . The book itself is really good. I didn't know anything about him now , I feel like I'm Indian

I think it’s very impressive how the writer wrote about a lot of things Gandhi went through in a few pages.

It made me interested to read more about Gandhi.

This book travels through the life of Gandhi. His determination and leadership was outstanding and influential. Equality should be given to all human being, no matter what religion, race, gender or where they are from. Gandhi stood up for equality. This book does a great job of showing his leadership qualities. With memorizing primary source pictures, readers can travel to the time when he stood up for equality.

We all heard about Gandhi at least once in our life but, do we really know what he did and how he managed to fight without weapons and violence? If you want to know something more about the Father of India and one of the greatest leader of all times, this is the book you're certainly looking for!
Go read it and discover how the Mahatma and his long "fight" for equality and indipendence changed the whole world and the existence of many poor and slaves.

This book is a little harder than the one I read with my eighth graders, and there are a lot of proper names. Still, the story of Gandhi's life is an important reminder that even great leaders like Gandhi had a really hard time getting people to agree.

I will say as Leon Blum (French Leader): " I never saw Gandhi. I don't speak his language. I never set foot in his country. And yet I feel the same [sadness] as if I had lost some o e near and dear"
