Another info dump like the other book in the series. This one is a bit better since the theme is crime in general so none of the stories breaks the theme so far.
One issue I have with the book is how it devotes one section for gay murderers, going as far to say that murders done by gays are "worse" and "more horrifying" than the other murders. In a book about gruesome & cruel murders, I find it hard to believe that murders committed by gays are more horrifying comparing to all the other sections in the book. Makes you wonder why would they even make a comparison to begin with.
The book tries so hard in the section to show that homosexuality is acceptable while still keep on reinforcing homophobic beliefs & use homophobic language. I know it's an old book but if it's reprinted and is available again today the editor should have done their jobs and update the content accordingly.
Sometime the author will add their own comments & conclusion without any supporting evidences or citation. And this happened out of no where at the end of a few sections, while the other sections are more like news reporting. This inconsistency threw me off a bit.
