I had one night with a man I wasn't supposed to want... And now I'm carrying his baby... The problem? He’s the mob boss I work for. And I’m the nameless barmaid he’s forgotten.
He's Marco DeAngelis, a man as dangerous as he is desirable. And I’m a nobody who can’t walk away, This job may keep me too close to him, but it's also the only thing keeping my mom alive.
So when my spiteful ex blackmails me into a forbidden plot, I'm left with no choice but to surrender to Marco’s savage allure …
But then seduction turns to murder, and Marco's the prime suspect. Suddenly, I'm more than just a barmaid. I'm his alibi, his fake fiancée, his secret lover.
But can a relationship built on deception survive? And when savage secrets come to light, will Marco’s darkness consume us both? Or will he burn the world to save us?
This book was full of delicious angst inducing tropes, many of which are amongst my favourites... unfortunately, the execution of which felt unpolished and at times a bit too shallow or frivolous to drive in the feels. Many readers will probably find the execution cringey or too lightish to be taken seriously and will dnf. And the too many pages will not help in improving this opinion (though it read easy).
It did test my patience at times, but still the writing infused enough empathy in me for the main characters and middling interest to see where the plot led (btw the action scenes in the last third were quite well done). Overall, I could see the honest drive of the author to spin out a nice romance and I do applaud it. What this too long book needed was good editing to tighten the plot, and juice out the tropes in the most visceral way.
I appreciated the list of tropes the author included in this story; her choice proves that she knows what will please angst readers. Now, if only those had ended up being not so overquickly averted tropes -- warning, may be fully spoilerish:
See? All the right ingredients. Just not the greatest recipe. But I am still rounding up my rating as positive encouragement to the author, because her pen is at the right place I believe and she can only get better. I am curious on what she plans next for all the mysterious brothers, cousin, sister, niece of the H.

I was really intrigued with this book's description; a dark romance involving a dangerous mafia boss who has a passionate one night with a beautiful barmaid and a secret pregnancy occurs. What I got was something a little less interesting and kind of dull. It started out pretty good but then about halfway through I was so bored and started skimming sections quickly, which is never a good sign for me. Marco did not appeal to me as this big, bad mafia man; he was pretty tame and didn't seem very powerful at all. Beth was alright, but I didn't feel any chemistry between her and Marco at all. The drama at the end was lackluster and the resolution too quick and predictable. Sadly this story was just not for me.
Was this written by a 12 year old, it has high school drama written all over it - both main characters should be locked away in a mental institution and made to have intensive couples therapy so they stop being narcissistic toxic weirdos
Ok so someone posted a scene from the book on book tok and it sucked me in like a fat kid to cake. Unfortunately, that science was absolutely not played out like the video suggested and I feel bamboozeled. I think the book was ok. A bit choppy for sure and there wasn’t any real character growth or relationship growth. Just they smashed and suddenly they were in this terrible situation and the solution made zero sense. And the 3rd act breakup made me sick how he treated her, and how his mother was the entire book actually. It’s a mafia family yet it not, so that made zero sense too. We still don’t know what our guy does at all. And why is his niece living there when she has a dad who only appears at the end for the wedding? Another loop that never got closed. Lots of annoying unanswered plots holes here. Details that were made a point to be shared yet never explained or remedied. And when our girl get kidnapped after Marco tossed her like garbage, weeks and weeks go by and he obviously at 1 point realized she was missing when her mom called the security dude and yet he made zero effort to look for her! Instead he goes to the smex house to get some! Seriously! 🤮. Yeah he doesn’t follow through but the inner monologue grossed me out enough to really see what a dog he was still. I mean he was paying for it at her old job while lusting after her for years so…yuck again. We didn’t really get their relationship growth at all on page. And then oh she is pregnant 🤰 so we’re gonna be together now. And she did an awful thing two him for real and he just suddenly isn’t made. Make it make sense! Not even really spicy maybe half a 🌶️
This book is filled with romantic suspense and a very compelling plot line that had me hooked immediately. However, there was quite a lack of emotional build between the main characters that kind of threw me off and didn't convince me that they loved each other. Lust? Yeah, sure. But with the lack of that and the lack of Marco's POV (despite it being a dual POV novel) and the fact that he didn't even realise a certain thing that happened around 73% in, there wasn't really enough to otherwise persuade me of his feelings.
I honestly really loved Beth and her strength. Despite her lil bit of deceit, there was a lot of character development that had me rooting for her. Marco on the other hand was tbh basically never even really there... This is all just my opinion though and like I said, I really enjoyed the plot. This has so much potential in my opinion and I truly do admire the author for putting their work out there. Overall, I definitely enjoyed the originality of this story, but there were certain things in it that weren't for me.

Definitely not as dark as I thought it was going to be or really even dark at all. Marco the male lead mafia, did not seem that strong and powerful even though it seemed like he was supposed to be. Some parts like when she got taken could have been longer and could have gone more dark than it did, and other parts just seemed to drag on and was kind of boring. I think it could have been a lot better Also the point where he talks about not remembering anything from that night, he mentioned not have camera in the loft and elevator but clearly there was some sort or security camera, or had to have some surveillance at his bar because he would just have none being who he is There really wasn’t any emotional build between the two of, and in one of the chapters he points out how they never went on dates or anything. So it went from them fucking, two months later her finding out she’s pregnant without really talking to him and then them hooking up again, to being together for two weeks while he’s constantly leaving for work and a bunch of petty drama from the mom (with no real emotional character build in these two weeks, only brief moments here and there like when they read to his niece but most of the time is list) to her being taken for two to finally returning and then not being together for a couple weeks to confessing their love?????

Savage Seduction: A Dark Mafia Romance written by Didi Sand is a story that is so well written with twists and turns to keep you guessing throughout the story. It is not your usual Mafia story. Marco DeAngelis, a man as dangerous as he is desirable finds himself being the prime suspect in a murder. He does not have a clue who is setting him up and cannot trust anyone - not those closest to him and certainly not the woman he loves!! We meet Beth, she works as a barmaid in an exclusive private club. In her position as a barmaid she is not permitted to mingle with the clients. They have been attracted to each other from the first time they spied each other but followed the protocol and just admired each other from afar. Well, we knew that couldn’t last. LOL Beth had a one night stand with Marco and things seemed to have returned to normal. Then, there was a murder, Marco became the prime suspect and Beth became his alibi and was taken to his home. Beth had secrets and fears that when finally revealed, Marco is upset, sends her on her way and she is unprotected. Didi Sands just keeps us on edge and we never see what is coming! Will Marco learn the truth? Will Beth be able to help Marco learn the truth? The story has suspense, secrets, violence, hope, a lovely romantic story, and steamy scenes with Alpha men. The action, adventure, is fast - paced and mystery are fabulous and kept me wanting to read the book quickly to see what the outcome would be! Didi Sand is a talented author and hit this book strait out of the park. Guess it’s time to read the book! So very good.

Savage Seduction by author Didi Sand. WOW JUST WOW! So the best compliment I can give is saying that this author’s work reminds me of another author that is absolutely brilliant- B. B. Hamel. It’s captivates and holds you tethered. Only you have no will or even want to escape. The storyline is powerful and full of angst. Yet there’s a sliver of hope. Like a ray of sunshine, trying to get through the dark clouds. I really don’t want this review to sound trite by saying - it’s action packed, it’s suspenseful and there’s definitely some steamy scenes. Which is all true, it does have all of that anymore. But as you read it, it’s like this fragile piece, (I don’t know - a work of art or a flower, whatever metaphor fits). Whatever fragile reality is there, there’s also strength and courage and a will to persevere. More so, it’s a love story filled with wit, hesitation, fear and love. Enjoy!!

This was another BookTok recommendation and unfortunately it didn't live up to the hype. I wanted so much to connect with the FMC, but maybe it's just my personality type, I can't stand a sobbing mess of a woman who apparently has been her disabled mother's caretaker for years. I expected her to have one hell of a backbone, that she would've stood up for herself the first time the MMC pushed her away. But she always crawled back to him. I thought she was hyper independent? I finished it because it had my attention enough but I wish I could say it was worth it.
While I understand the style choice was to make this based in London, I just found dialect strange, but I acknowledge that could be based on me being an American. However, the MMC is this Italian, suave, cold, hard man but the amount of slange he used just didn't fit the picture that was trying to be made. The pet names kept changing too, which made it hard to find it endearing and often felt forced. He started off with "little bird" and that was cute but the amount of times he said "baby" just gave me the ick.
All in all, it just wasn't for me but that's not to say it may not be for someone else.

This action-packed story kept me glued to the pages from start to finish. Bethany has an intimate night with Marco that has lasting repercussions. If that is not enough her ex-blackmails her into doing something she regrets. She enters into a fake relationship with Marco when a death occurs, and the problems continue to build up. Will she survive being at Marco's side and will it lead them down the road to happiness.

"Savage Seduction: A Dark Mafia Romance" by Didi Sand was a great read. I enjoyed Marco and Beth's story. This story had romance, mafia, a surprise baby, family, twists, dark romance, and more. This was the first time I've read this author's work and it won't be the last. I hope there will be more books in the future with this family. Highly recommend it to all fans of romance, mafia, dark romance, and family.
Mafia romance wrapped in mystery and suspense. This book was an absolute guilty pleasure to read. Marco and Beth are pawns in a bigger conspiracy that absolutely threw me for a loop over and over. The story had me flipping the pages as fast as I could to find out what happens next. I read many many books, but it has been a while since a book made me feel this excited. I am glad I read it.

Although, it only had here and there elements that made you think they were mafia affiliated. Who h, was taking a bit from what you picture when you think mafia. A hard core bad ass burning down everyone and everything to get to what they love but that scene was good but rather brief and only happened once and that made for a harder sell that this is a whole lifestyle..
2⭐️ Shut the front door, it had a strong start but it just started to spiral downwards you’re telling me you would DIE for the baby but not KILL for the baby 😐 mf they stomped on your stomach like a fucking trampoline and you let them get jail 💀. And tbh she was in the hospital for basically 1 1/2 days that just isn’t correct I don’t think after getting stomped on by a grown ass man you would get sent out that fast.

If you're a fan of dark mafia romance with a great storyline and amazing characters and packed with suspense, secrets, lies, danger, twists and turns, betrayal, deception, blackmail, and so much more, than Savage Seduction by Didi Sand is the book for you.
I volunteered to review an advance reader copy of this book.
Savage Seduction is promoted as a dark romance, but it fell flat and missed the mark. I couldn't connect with the characters and the plot was farfetched. Sand is a new to me author so it may have just been the writing style, but it never reached the point where I couldn't put it down like a dark mafia book should.
The author has given us a heart pounding story that pulls us into the lives of Beth and Marco. The story keeps us turning the pages with attraction, secrets, danger and consequences.

I first downloaded the free sample and was hooked after the six chapters. Couldn't wait to continue reading. Was beyond satisfied with the story filled with sexy romance, suspense, sadness, twists and most of all a happily ever after ending!
I need to get off booktok, most recs are just not it. This is ok, plot is good but it got painful to read towards the end, felt like it was dragged on, pointless drama that didn’t need to be there and while it’s considered dark rom, it was more on the sweet side.
-100. Marco was a walking red flag. Basically called her a wh0re the whole time and didn't really care at all. All his apologies and groveling seemed to be on the surface level. Yuck. Even the baby he refused to believe was his, ffs.

I don’t know what made me really read this story…yeah I remember, that dumb tiktok add..it was written in a way that made me grab my e-reader and get this story..thank God for kindle unlimited…there was kind of hope of a plot but I guess it need to be worked on..
Marco new book bf the mf in this book was kind of annoying she had no backbone 70% of the book she was bursting into tears. Also this book is def not mafia romance… like at all. He has ties to the mafia but is not even a member.
Wonderfully written and captured me from the start all the twists and turns made me keep reading to the very end. However Beth frustrated me towards the end, like shut up quit whining and realize he truly loves you!

she was working in a brothel as a bartender and she was ok with having unprotected sex with him?? knowing that he had been with many of the girls? this and many other instances was what blew me off and made the characters unlikable
