I received an ARC from Melissa Steven's Bubba. It was a short, quick read about one of the characters from her Demented Souls MC, who has been away for a couple of years and, on his way back, gets a call from his ex-gf in trouble. While you don't necessarily need to read the other books to know the side characters, it will help flesh out the interactions a bit more. I wish we had more time with these 2, so I'm hoping they show up in the other books in the series.

Isolde O’Clearly is on the run from her stepfather and the family business he runs. He will do anything to get her back even hire the Black Jacks, an outlaw MC to hunt her down and bring her back. To make matters worse she stole an expensive item from her stepfather, and he wants it back at all costs.
Isolde runs and finds herself in a small town in the Virginia mountains. With the help of an old friend, she gets a job at a biker bar until she can save enough money to get back on the run. The only problem with her plan is meeting Hawk Mosby the V.P. of the Devil's Renegades MC. When she’s around Hawk she loses control and winds up in bed with him.
When trouble comes knocking will Hawk be able to keep Isolde safe when most of his brothers want to turn her over to the Black Jack’s rather than start a war?
I loved this story. The characters are amazing, and the story is original. This story has everything you could want. A woman down on her luck who doesn’t feel she can trust anyone with her secrets, a man who would do almost anything to her safe. This is a must read.

The Darkest Renegade by Sharon Way:
This was a new to me author that I just recently found, and what a way to kick off my reading journey with her.
This may have only been a novella but it was jam packed with action from cover to cover and I couldn't look away.
It was a fantastic and thrilling way to start a series with twists you won't see coming.
I cannot wait to see what the author comes up with next, especially with a full sized book.
Definitely recommend.

The Darkest Renegade by Sharon Wray is a steamy, action packed, whodunnit filled with angst, chemistry and falling in love for Hawk and Izzy but when all comes out will Hawk still want Izzy? Grab it and enjoy!
