She's on the run for her life ...

As a child, she-wolf healer Reika Snow was promised as a mate to three were-lynxes to prevent a war between her pack and the lynx clan. Her freedom is coming to an end as her twenty-third birthday arrives. With her bleak future as the subjugated bride of the three males looms near, she does the only thing she can think of ... she runs. With the lynxes hot on her tail, the only thing she can do is pray she can find safety, somewhere.

He's not going to let her get far ...

Bo Elliot, highly ranked member of the Tressel wolf pack, rescues a she-wolf from the claws of three were-lynxes as they attempt to capture her. When she awakens, he's surprised to find himself staring into the beautiful blue eyes of his truemate. With his bum leg, Bo doesn't want to tie Reika down to a wounded male like himself by acknowledging that they're mates, but he vows to set her free from the lynxes and give her back her life. It will take every trick in Bo's book to keep Reika from taking off on her own in a misguided attempt to spare him from getting tangled up in the hot mess of her life, but Bo will do anything for his truemate, even if it means walking away once she's free.

This book contains a scarred wolf with a heart of gold, a she-wolf healer who wants to protect her truemate at any cost, and a wolf-on-lynx battle that will determine where Reika spends the rest of her life. Readers should expect possessive werewolves, passionate sex, neck biting, and the kind of horniness that only the full moon can bring.

This has quickly become one of my favorite series. R.E. Butler has such a way of telling her stories that allow the reader to escape into this wonderful world she created. The stories are well written and entertaining and filled with such lovable interesting characters that you just can't help but root for their HEA. I fall more in love with these characters with each new story. This was definitely one of my favorites of the series along with Jason & Cadence and Linus & The Angel.

I have been waiting for Bo's book ever since reading Jason & Cadence and I was so not disappointed!! Bo *sigh*~ Just loved him!! Reika was such a great character~she was the perfect heroine for him. I was immediately drawn to her and her story. The beginning of the book definitely had my heart pounding~so good!! I was pulled right into the story and was nervously waiting for Reika to make her way to Bo. Bo...He was so sweet and caring and he had suffered so much pain with his leg both physically and emotionally. I loved how Bo and Reika new that they were mates but denied it because bother were trying to protect the other. They just wanted the best for each other. The definitely had some HOT sex!! Oh... and the scene with them outside and Bo with the ice~Yikes!! lol I loved the scene when Bo tells Reika that she can't lick other men to heal them without him being there with her. So funny. They were so adorable together.

I loved being able to continue to read about some of my favorite characters~Jason and Cadence, Linus and Karly, Michael and Shyne, and Logan. Oh...I cannot wait for Logan's book next. I am also so interested in Shane and his brothers and I hope that even though they are of a different pack, they will get their own books also.

Bo's story was definitely worth the wait and I am so looking forward for more in the series.

4 out of 5 rating!!

***ARC provided by R.E. Butler~Thank you so much!!

the whole ¨He knew he was broken, and not worthy of someone as incredible as her.¨ was annoying... like SUPER annoying... one of my favorite parts that i went ¨awwwwwww¨ to out loud was ¨He was so deep in thought he wasn’t aware that Reika was in the room with him until she curled up next to him, tucking herself against him in the deep couch. His arms immediately went around her as she snuggled against him.¨ awwwwwwwww <3 i love stuff like that <3 AND THE WHOLE ¨i cant let ANYONE get hurt because of MEEEEEHHH so i must be stupid and try to run AWAAAAAAAY¨ kinda PISSED ME THE FUCK OFF!! oh dear LORD how dumb can you be?!? no... lemme rephrase that, HOW ANNOYING CAN YOU BE?!?? in the end... i just started skimming through trying to finish... i WANTED to like it... i thought i would... but the ¨im broken she should have someone better...¨ and the ¨he deserves a better mate than her...¨ really got on my nerves... ;-; what more can i say... what more can i express that i liked it some what but it just annoyed me to much to really... get into it... i AM glad they didnt just BAM sex >-> i like that in a book... i dont like how the 2 characters meet and BAM sex they dont know shit bout each other OTHER THAN they were ¨DRAWN¨ to each other becasue of lust... ;-; for me to like a book (hard i know because i like erotica... and its mostly just porn upon porn) but some out there has them getting to fecking know each other a bit... OR where their both on the same damn level (meaning when they are both accepting of each other not the bullshit ¨oh i cant have a serious relationship and or settle down¨ or ¨im not good enough for he/she.¨ ¨i regret sleeping with he/her. This shouldnt of happened.¨ its mostly the damn girls though...) ... i got TOTALLY off topic... anyway XD the book was meh... wasnt totally good... wasnt totally bad... (p.s other thing that kinda ticked me off was the i want him but no i cant *kisses him* i cant have him i must run... *cuddles and sleeps with him* no!! i must resist and run so no one gets hurt because of me.... bitch are you kidding me?)

What a great story!! A perfect combination of story ans steam!!!

Bo is a great character, even if he is a bit self depreciating in the beginning. I get annoyed at the characters who have one flaw and think it defines them. Fortunately he stifles that attitude most of the time and then it becomes a non-issue.

Reika is a wonderful independent gal! I love that she was working to save herself. I would have loved more of her solo flight from the lynxes. It would have been great to get just a bit more of that to really highlight her strength. I loved her sass and she will fit in perfectly with the other gals!

The story was very nicely paced this time! I did not feel the lag that has been a pert of previous books!

The steam this time around was wonderful, plenty of playfulness and just the right touch of dominance. I had to fan my face a few times!!! Yummilicious!

Bo is looking at a life of constant pain. Enter Reika a wolf with supernatural healing powers and Bo's true mate. The only trouble is the three were lynx's trying to make her theirs. What a storyline! Very enjoyable fast-paced ride. Plenty of spice and sweet moments.

Best in the series so far, IMO. But still I thought it went on longer then needed, like most of the others in the series. The last chapter or two was really just filler, nothing added to the story.

A very good read with an interesting plot. Just do not love the pack attitude to some women.
Bo doesn’t believe he will ever have a mate due to injuries received as a child. He is on a slow downward spiral no matter how he tries to fight it.
Reike was blood debt promised as a 7 year old child due to an accident caused by her 4 year old brother to some really horrible Lynx gypsy types.
On her 23rd birthday she would basically be forced to mate three disgusting lynx males who would treat her as nothing more than a breeding machine. The only out is for her to find her true mate before then.
Reika runs and is saved by Bo who knows she is his mate.
Reika denies their mate status so that Bo doesn’t have to fight for her.
I loved how special Reika was and how she healed Bo from his childhood trauma.
Great how Bo got Reika to admit they were mates and he had the right to fight for her.
What nasties those Lynxes were, treating children that way.
Nice that Reika’s brother Ben also joins the pack.
I still am not liking this pack due to their DOUBLE STANDARDS of using women as PACK TOYS. The men will happily have sex with these poor women but would never think then worthy to be mate material.
I know Lindy gets her HEA in another series but it still rankles me the way these men talk about them and treat them.

Love R.e. Butlers books

Reika is a wolf shifter whom is also a healer. When she was a child, lynxes made a blood pact with her Alpha that when she turned twenty three she was to be given to his three grandsons for baring children. The night before her twenty third birthday she runs. The lynxes catch her but she is saved by a wolf shifter. Bo is a ranked wolf shifter. When he was young he was hit by a car and it mangled his leg. He was too young to shift so he has a lot of pain. He thinks no woman will ever want him until he meets Reika. They both know they are true mates but Bo doesn’t want her tied to a wolf that will have to give up his rank in a few years. Reika knows the only way to break the blood pact is for a truemate to fight the lynxes. She doesn’t want Bo killed so she keeps trying to run. But Bo won’t let her go and they both realize there is no fighting fate.
Great story with action, shifters, and sex. A wolf pack that will do anything to protect one of their own.

More True Mates OVER 18+ READING

Loved how Bo finally gets his true mate in Reika (a special she wolf) when he finds her being attacked and rushes to her aid. He doesn't know how special she is until much later, special in ways other than being his true mate which for reasons of their own each are trying not to acknowledge to the other. As they face how they feel about each other, face each others demons and learn to love and trust each other you go on a wonderful journey.

This book was good for my heart!

I've enjoyed this series so far, but this story I really enjoyed. This was such a great story. Bo is most definitely a hero, not only that but he is sweet, honorable, and even though he suffers from an injury he does not make others suffer with him. Our heroine, Reika, is such a great addition to the series. She is brave, funny, and has a heart of gold. I felt the author did a fantastic job with this storyline, she gave us a new were to read and I look forward to reading more about them.

Bo and Reika

Bo was injured by a car accident before he was able to shift and heal himself. He has had many surgeries to repair his leg by soon he won't be able to shift anymore.

Reika was 7 years old when she was promised to 3 lynx' to prevent her brother Ben from being killed and/or a war between her Pack and the lynx .

Now 16 years later the time has come for Reika to be given to the lynx. But instead she runs for her life. As she is fighting the lynx brothers she is hurt and Bo comes to her rescue. Will Bo be able to save Reika and/or release her from the blood debt?

Reika was blood oathed to three lynx brothers at age seven, when her little brother accidentally caused the death of the King's prized horse. On the night of her 23rd birthday she is to be their property. Bo, who has a bum leg from an accident before he was old enough to shift and heal, finds a wolf being attacked by the lynx and rescued her from them. He knows she is his truemate and doesn't want to strap her with a crippled mate, but will fight to end the blood debt.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ - I LOVE THIS AUTHOR!!
A scarred hero with a heart of gold and a runaway healer on the brink of being forced into marriage? Sign me right up. Bo is everything—gentle, broody, stubborn in the most endearing way—and Reika is a fierce, compassionate survivor. Their journey is full of healing and heart, not to mention a pulse-pounding showdown with some seriously nasty lynxes. The emotional depth really hit me here, and the ending? Satisfying in every way.

He thought he was too damaged

He thought he was too damaged to be a mate until she came into his life.
She never thought she'd have a future until he showed her it could be done.
Perfect for each other.

An accident as a child left Bo Elliot with a bad leg that never healed correctly and a sense of low self-worth – especially when it came to love – though he didn't let it stop him from fighting his way to Third in the Tressel pack’s rankings. When he rescues a she-wolf from three lynxes, he finally discovers his truemate. While he is determined to free her from a commitment placed on her when she was a child, he refuses to tie her down to a crippled wolf. Only Reika's truemate can break the binding that has loomed over her head for fifteen years, but can she put aside her fear of losing the man she loves so she can keep him?

I cannot begin to tell you how enamored I am with this series. I was ecstatic when the author announced she would be telling Bo's story. Bo is such a wonderful, noble, kind, gentle-but-tough person who has been such an awesome friend to Jason, Michael and all the other wolves in the pack; it was heartbreaking to even consider that he would never find his truemate. Reika is such a perfect mate for him and an excellent addition to the pack, too. I could very much relate to her attitude of “this is my sworn obligation, so I’m going to be stupid about it.” Been there, dumbed that.

This story had me screaming at the stubbornness of the characters and catching my breath with every glance and touch. Through each tense moment wondering whether the lynxes would show up, I was riveted. I couldn't wait to get to the end of the book, but I didn't want it to end. I loved it from start to finish. If you asked me if I had any negative thing to say about the book, my reply would be: how many bloody were-species are there? I am positive this author could write a fabulous series about every single were-species she develops. And I would read them all. Every. Single. One. Well done, Ms. Butler!

After reading the first four books in the series, I have definitely fallen in love with The Wolf’s Mate Series and with R.E. Butler. Werewolves are my favorite supe and I can’t ever get enough of them. Ms. Butler brings them out, with stories of deserving wolves finding their mates and telling us of the struggles and obstacles that tried to stop them.

Reika has been claimed by three lynxes since she was seven years old. Her brother let out the lynxes Arabian horse and he called for her as payment of that debt. Her home pack prayed she would find her true mate and release her from her blood debt to no avail. She doesn’t want anyone else to get hurt, so she doesn’t want to find her true mate.

Bo suffered from injuries inflicted on him by getting hit by a car when he was too young to shift and heal. He doesn’t want to burden his true mate with a wolf that will be a cripple in a few years and not even able to shift.

The fact that both of these wolves thought so much of their mate that they would do without them for their betterment spoke a lot to me about how much they cared. I loved that they would fight for their mates, but didn’t consider themselves good enough for the problems it would cause the other.

The world in which Bo & Reika live fits their lifestyles to perfection. I wish I could go visit. Ms. Butler did an amazing job in building this world and making it seem like you could drive over there and visit with Bo & Reika.

One thing about this series, with the exclusion of Callie, you get to follow up on all of the couples and characters you read about in previous books. If you like werewolf shifters, hot sex scenes and a wolf mate willing to fight to the death to free his mate, Bo & Reika is for you. Bo & Reika can definitely be read as a stand-alone, but I recommend starting from the beginning so that you get all of the characters back story.

Love this series

Bo is a sad, lonely shifter until he finds his mate, who happens to be in trouble. Reika is trying to keep anyone else from being hurt from her blood debt, including her mate. But mates are meant to be together and Bo shows how sweet and loyal he is.

Bo & Reika (Wolf's Mate #5) by R.E. Butler
As a child, she-wolf healer Reika Snow was promised as a mate to three were-lynxes to prevent a war between her pack and the lynx clan. Or watch her baby brother die. The lynx are the scourge of the earth weres with no principles. As her days of freedom come to an end she trys going into a sort of witness protection, when her would be saviors are put down she runs to save herself from the worst possible fate there ever was.

Bo was injured at age 14 and his leg never healed properly. The everyday pain is almost more then he can take. He doesn't want a truemate as he thinks he can never protect her and then there is the scars on his leg, the endless days and nights of never ending pain. When he saves a wolve from 3 lynxes he finds his truemate. He will get rid of them then set her free of him. Not happening, Reika has other ideas and as a healer she will heal him in mind and body or die trying.

This story was so out there. The beginning starts off gripping and then never stops. I really enjoyed this story. I read it back to back! When I read a book I like to think hmm how would I have written it just a little bit different , well not so with this book. It was right on with enough of everything and more of on edge, page turning, that I read it in one sitting and then again! I have a few in this series as my favorite books and this is one of them.

Now we have someone with an actual power.
I really liked Bo in this one but there were times when all his self-loathing was just a bit annoying. I though Reika was really strong but I was rooting for her to fall into the pull and just be done with it. The twist up at the clearing was great, I just knew the three would back down but the really didn't want to lose faith in front of their king. I was also glad that she figured out how she would make him feel if she kept pushing him away like he was some weakling or something. I was wondering just how he's third even with the leg and all, in my mind he must have been really good at fighting in both forms for him to keep up enough to hold that rank. I can see Reika coming in handy with the older wolves who've been suffering but with the pain Bo went through I'd doubt many of them will volunteer. Next one has to be good!

Was the idea of going on the run from an arranged mating to Lynx travellers that basically bought you an original idea? Yes.
Did this book fit into my description of every book in this series being boiled down to the woman being kidnapped and/or literally fought over by men like a chew toy? Also yes.

Reika being a healer is interesting, and she seemed quite competent with her plans to run away though she did leave it quite late. I just wasn't a massive fan of her healing Bo. He has deep insecurities of his damaged body and she avcepts him as he is. But then magically cures him because why would disabilities exist in a magical world with their happily ever after? It just felt like it negated any growth he might have had.

Only she can bring out the wolf in him

Reika is a rare wolf shifter called an apex. Being an apex means that she is a healer. A group of nomadic shifters want Reika and she runs for her life. The only way she can be free from them is to find her true mate.
Bo leads a solitary life in the pack. The last thing he ever thought he would be way someone's true mate. The moment he meets Reika his wolf knows that the are mates. She knows it too. They both try to fight the
Attractions for different reasons. Bo doesn't want her to be stuck with a cripple. Reika wants to protect him from being killed by the shifters that are after her. Bo and Reika realize that the only way they can be together is to fight for it.

This is the 5th story in this series and I have to say I think it is one of the better ones.. Bo is talked about in the other stories in this series but this one really lets you know who he is. Really liked his other half and really, really wish this story was longer than a novella!! It is a HOT love story about werewolves. So if you ain't into Werewolves, paranomal love stories don't read it. But if you are go for it. It does have a HEA (the only spoiler I will talk about). I would have to say that this book and the next one Logan & Jenna (The Wolf Mate book 6) are my favorites in this series. ;-)
