Well, with the Arbitrator gone, things really start jumping. Devon, Drake's mother is not dead. And who is behind the resistance fighters? Who would want the status quo to continue? Is Sharon an revolutionary or a part of the resistance?

Drake starts questioning his feelings for Sharon. Their relationship is filled with mistrust and need. His father's new wife keeps trying to replace his mother and Drake wants distance.

The "sisters" kidnap Drake and the real twists begin. At ARC (the revolutionaries) Sharon does her duties and tries to keep from worrying about why Drake is so late.

The climax of this section revolves around family relations and beliefs. Who will win??

"Just then, a hundred clocks throughout the house ushered in the twelfth hour. It was midnight. Every clock's voice was different...They were all joined in a chorus, A chorus of the clocks...It was as if the clocks were announcing a new beginning. A new mistress of the clocks."
