New Adult Paranormal Romance Series by bestselling author Kristie Cook ** Mature Content ** Recommended for ages 16+ due to sexual situations and language
First three books of the award-winning Soul Savers Series, plus discover how the Amadis began in the bonus prequel, Genesis!
Book 1 – Promise
When Alexis Ames is attacked by creatures that can't be real, she decides it's time she learns who she really is, with or without the help of her mother, who guards their family's secrets closely. After meeting the inhumanly attractive, multi-talented Tristan Knight, however, Alexis retreats behind her façade of normalcy...until she discovers he's not exactly normal either. Then their secrets begin to unravel. Their union brings hope and promise to her family's secret society, the Angels' army, and to the future of mankind. But it also incites a dangerous pursuit by the enemy - Satan's minions and Tristan's creators. After all, Alexis and Tristan are a match made in Heaven and in Hell.
Book 2 - Purpose
Lost in despair, Alexis teeters on the edge of an abyss, her lifeline of hope fraying into a thin thread. If it snaps, she'll plunge into complete darkness. With the help of her son and her writing, she's been able to hold on. Until now. Erratic impulses, disturbing delusions and her own demonic blood threaten her sanity. When she's forced to choose between hanging onto hope or letting go to serve her Amadis purposes, she faces a decision with inconceivable sacrifices.
Alexis runs to the one place she thinks will provide answers, only to find herself at the center of another battle of good versus evil, not only with the Daemoni, not only within herself...but also against the worst opponent imaginable. But even if she wins, what will she lose?
Book 3 - Devotion
With powerful abilities gained from the Ang'dora and Tristan back by her side, Alexis thinks she's ready for the next challenge-- protecting her son from what appears to be the inevitable. But she has so much to learn about her powers, her new world and the people in it. Nothing is what it seems to be on the surface, including the Amadis.
Power-hungry politicians comprise the council and make impossible demands. A traitor lurks among them all, inciting trouble that could destroy the Amadis and, ultimately, humanity. The Daemoni wreak havoc in the human world, with the ultimatum that they'll continue attacking innocents until Alexis and Tristan are expelled from the Amadis' protection. The couple's own society begins to shut them out. But that's not all.
Someone's keeping a secret. A big one. Faith and hope in Alexis and Tristan will be restored if she can uncover the truth in time.
But the search for answers leads only to the discovery of more betrayals by those closest to Alexis. Her devotion is put to the test--devotion to her husband, to her family, to her people and to her beliefs--leaving her to question whom she's fighting for and why she should even bother. But if she won't fight . . . who will?

I absolutely Love every book in this series! Kristie Cook makes you fall in love with her characters! She has built an intricate world that I got completely lost in! In an absolutely fantastic way, of course. Alexis grows more as a person throughout each book, and emerges as a force to be reckoned with. Tristan is such a well developed character, that when he has dialogue in the books, I can honestly hear him saying it in my head! (Melt!!) He is, by far, my go to book boyfriend. I have and will continue to recommend this series to anyone that will listen. This is an adult series, language and steamy scenes throughout, but that was part of what I loved. Once I read Genesis, (the novella) there were so many questions answered, and so many "oh, No wonder this happened, or That's why this is the way it is". I wasn't sure that I would be as impressed with the novella because I am so in love with the characters in the novels, but I was so wrong! I was drawn in right away, and just as deeply! Thank you Kristie Cook, for sharing your world with me, and for introducing me to Tristan! <3
An enjoyable start to a seven book series. The first 3 books introduced the reader to Alexis and Tristan, who when they finally meet, make a loving couple who must fight the Daemoni for control of their lives. Alexis is an Amadis daughter, who's future is to help rule and guide her people. Those people include vampires, werewolves, mages as well as other strange creatures. The stories are filled with love, happiness, family situations, as well as evil, sadness and death. Sometimes the story moved slowly, but over all I can recommend Kristie Cook's Soul Savers books. The Soul Savers box set by Kristie Cook is a great value! If you love Paranormal as much as I do, you’ll really enjoy this series. Cook has a little more angst than I prefer, but overall I still loved the characters and the storyline. A solid 4 Stars
This series is hands down my favorite. I have reread the books 7 times and each time I still come away with some new component that I missed or did not appreciate the times before. Kristie is truly an artist who uses words to paint a picture.
I really enjoyed this book. There are times that I need to set it down so I don't throw my kindle, like during the council meeting. Ugh they were making me mad, I can only imagine how mad they made Alexis. Looking forward to reading the rest.
I read each of these books individually. If you like the good vs. evil story line this one is for you!
Book 1 - A Demon's Promise
Alexis Ames yearns for a normal life and to be let in on the secrets her mother is keeping from her, who she really is. Alexis's mom, Sophie, has continually uprooted herself and Alexis to hide the fact that neither of them is human. Sophie does not seem to age and has incredible strength. Alexis has the ability to heal her self and incredible strength when angered.
They move to a town where Sophie buys a book store and Alexis starts college. Alexis meets Tristan and they fall in love. After an accident, some of the really big secrets are finally revealed....
Angels and Demons, the fight for good or evil. Who will win?
This story is told from Alexis's point of view. It has a good story line with plot twists and well developed characters.
Book 2 - An Angel's Purpose
After seven years of having your soul mate taken from you, what is a girl to do...
Alexis has spent the last seven years without Tristan. She has been in a downward spiral since Tristan was taken from her. The only things she has in her life is her family, her mom, son and grandmother, and her writing. She has mood swings and is having a hard time figuring out if she is dreaming or if things are a reality.
She is encouraged by her family to keep writing her latest book. However, she thinks she imagined being threatened by a vampire that reminds her a lot of the character in her book. She needs time to be alone. She needs Tristan!
With the Ang'dora fast approaching, Alexis has a choice to make. Which Alexis will come out Good or Evil? Once her transformation and receiving of her full powers is complete, some long awaited answers are finally given to her.
This book answered a lot of questions left over from the first book.
Book 3 - Dangerous Devotion
Now that Alexis has gone through the Ang'dora and has received her powers, it is time to master those powers. She has a lot to learn and with the Daemoni attacking, the safest place for Alexis, Tristan, and Dorian is on Amadis Island.
While training and learning to use her new powers, Rina, Alexis's grandmother, recruits her to use her mind read powers to help find a traitor amongst them. However, Alexis is having problems controlling her mind powers and when she says what she heard no one believed her. After yet another attack by the Daemoni, they are forced to leave the Amadis Island and look for the truth themselves.
Can Alexis and Tristan find the truth before it is too late? Who can the traitor be?
#1 I couldn't imagine not knowing my whole story growing up. Alexis is a strong young woman with a whole lot of protectiveness of her heart. Not really knowing why she is like she is but keeping on going with her life. When she literally bumps into Tristan things start to ignite between them. Tristan has secrets of his own and is fighting an evil inside himself every day. Alexis seems to help bring the good out of him more so. As they get to know each other more and more things start to happen. There is laughter, anger, sadness, and most of all love throughout this whole story. Kristie Cook did an amazing job keeping me in this story and truly wanting more. I can't wait to read more of this series. #2 Grief is a powerful feeling and mixed that with your body changing and it can be explosive. True love conquers all and in this series so far it truly proves it with time and distance to together again. Alexis is just going through the motions for the 7 years that she feels part of her soul and heart is missing, raising her little boy and writing her books. She feels as though she is losing her mind with the things she keeps seeing in her dreams and awake. She is feeling like she can't distinguish real from fantasy even when she starts catching glimpses of her one true love Tristan. Stranger things start happening and quite a few things come to light and more secrets are kept until finally everything changes. Kristie Cook has done an excellent job so far keeping me in her world and not letting go. I can't wait to read more from this series. #3 So many more twists and turns in this book. Alexis, Tristan, Owen, and little Dorian make this story come alive in ways I wouldn't have expected. Things come together more and more as this series goes along. Every one of the characters popped out and grabbed me giving me the feel of being right there with them, going through all the emotions and confusion of what is really happening to their community. Kristie Cook really knows how to draw a person in and keep them there from beginning to end. Can't wait to read more in this series.
I was given these individual books for an honest review.
I was honestly surprised by this writer and her paranormal world which existed on the premise of good and evil, Amadis and Deamoni, God and satan, This was an interesting perspective together with a griping storyline. I enjoyed watching the characters develop and the excitement and can't wait to see what happens in the next book of the series. I wasn't aware of Ms Cook but her writing and imagination has definitely caught my attention. I didn't think the series could get any better than book 1 but going into book 2 the purpose exposes her abilities at a whole new level. I thought Promise was good but Purpose s so much better. I don't know if it is the pain Alexis is experiencing or the joy when she awakes to find Triston laying beside her. All the way thru the book you deal with emotions so extreme that when you finish the book all you can do is take a deep breathe one you have forgotten to take while reading. I can only imagine where we will travel with Ms Cook in book 3. With each book the writer takes us deeper into the world of the Amadis and Deamoni and more invested in the success of Tristan and Alexis. We see Alexis growing into her powers and doing a lot of whining but also more trouble in their lives. Will they ever just get to be a family and enjoy their love? Cook continues to weave us into their story and them into our hearts as we cheer for their success.
OMG Kristie Cook is an absolute legend and her skills in writing are second to none. I started reading this book as a friend suggested it to me and my husband had had it for over a year!!!! I could not put the books down. It was nice to watch Alexis grow in so many ways, I have cried, gasped, sighed, hugged my pillow, envy, hatred, frowned, fell in love, you name it I have lived it, and I so want to be Alexis. Tristan wow, just wow he has fought so much and yet is strong in love with Alexis (pants! I don't get a look in) he is beside her no matter what they go through and believe me they have their ups and downs. Dorian, after listening to Kristie Cook I can imagine how Dorian would sound, he is so devoted to his mother and father. He is unique and I love that. His pet too, I sooo want one! You go back in time with Genesis and find out how it all began and wow that is mind blowing too. Kristi Cook is an absolute diamond, her writing is top notch and have fallen in love with Tristan. I can say this I know you will enjoy :-)
I liked the books but got tired of the constant angst caused by Tristan as to whether he was good enough for Alexis and whether he would revert to his demonic father's roots. It is a romance with lots of paranormal stuff with vampires, weres, witches and magical creatures even fairies. You really need to read the Novella first I think because it sets the stage for why Alexis is so important to the future and why Tristan is so sought after by both sides. Normally I would not like this kind of book because I am really not religious so the constant heaven and hell stuff didn't do it for me. The strong emotions between Alexis and Tristan did keep me reading and I was happy with how Book 3 ended so now I am torn as to whether or not to continue with the series. We'll see. The writing is excellent and the author does give us just enough sex to keep it interesting but the main part of the book is how good overcomes evil but it is never over....the fight for good.
Just finished book 1 so glad I can keep reading I would go crazy if I didn't have it... I just read a book very similar to this one so it kinda is running together but I love this one very much. Tristian is so sweet..
Ok book 2 is awesome. The love in this book is so different from a lot I have read the story of Tristian and Alexis is amazing. I'm so glad I have the set.
The .5 book deffentaily is best read after book 2 it really keeps you in Alexis POV. She didn't know her history so if you want to keep with her mind set I see now other way to read this series.. let me say I love this series so far...
Ok now that I have finished book 3 I can say I have felt overwhelming love between Tristian and Alexis. And extreme heart break. I have laughed and cried in every book so far. I'm now movie on to book 4 with extreme excitement.
Where to start if you love paranormal with a twist and love reading books that take you on the adventure with them then buy this set Kristie cook pulls you in to the books story right from the start ( promise ) You will feel love hate heartache disappointment judgement bliss happiness and that's just for start The box set is great as after promise you are left needing purpose and that book will shock you to your core and then After reading this book your a gonner Kristie has you by the balls By this time your hooked the books are the drug you need i'm speaking from experience lol Genesis explains the questions we have in our head like who what how where this began and tells the story of the twins Devotion is where the love is overwhelming and the action in mindblowing I love the books I love the author but must the story Can't wait to keep reading Thanks Kristie x
Usually I like to read the beginning book first, but with this pack I though putting the novella is in the perfect spot and really helped to further the story and your attachments to the cause.
I laughed, cried, stressed out and felt awe for the things the characters could do. I felt so attached to the characters and hung up in the story as if I knew them personally. Tristin is totally swoon worthy and I cannot get enough of him! Alexis is just awesome so strong and her kick butt style is totally what I like to read about. I love her mom and grandma as well and couldn't get enough of their interactions. This series is awesome and I'd recommend it to anyone and everyone. I totally want my own Sasha :)!!
I love it and can't wait to read the next books in the series.
this is the first trilogy I've read in along time. It is written about the beginning of good and evil. A surprising, witty take on human and fantasy characters. If you like shape shifter type books but have grown tired of the same old story line then this book is for you.
It grips you in the beginning with a normal girl who learns piece by piece that she is different. It weaves you through a story of thrilling characters unlike any other paranormal books. I fell in love with the writer and the way she made you actually ,just maybe believe that there is vampires, mases, witches etc that exist. Don't let yourself miss this exciting, extraordinary book.
Ok so I read the first three books and genesis in one go. It was a page turner and I had fun reading it. I was contemplating buying Power, but after reading the reviews and noticing the fact that it is a cliff hanger, I am refraining from doing so until Wrath is out. Why? because I can be an absolute wretch when I like a series and then I am left out on the ledge. So i am waiting with bated breath for Wrath so that i can put myself out of my misery and read both at one go.
I want to say how much I truly enjoyed this series of books. I fell in love with Tristen right along with Alexis, got mad when she did, felt her heartache when Tristen was taken and cried when things were at their worst. I had to stop reading a couple of times because I was so upset and couldn't see through my tears. l truly hated for it to end although I was thrilled with the ending.
I've read each of these books and they are all amazing! The main character, Alexis, is easy to relate to in many ways. The biggest for me was that it's okay, amazing even, to be different. And I am so in love with Tristan! Kristie's writing style is so easy to read and it was actually Promise (book 1) that helped get me back into reading after so many years away. 5 stars! <3
Very short review but my others are with the individual books, I will rate this 10 stars if it went that high. The is a beautiful story of love, loss, pain and revenge. Cant say must about it with out ruining the the stories. Its a must read for older teens and any age after that. Be warned it does get you blood pumping, with every chapter you will read.
I seriously love love this series! I honestly can say I read all that are currently out in less then a week and I am now going through withdrawals! Amazing book, the characters are like my best friends. I miss them already!
An amazing series!! One that cannot be put down until it is done! Wow, every single book in this series just blew me away. It sticks with me long after the last page. I don't ever want it to end. Exceptional and five stars just don't do it justice!! One of the best series, EVER!!!!
I realy realy love this series♥. I read every book in this series several times, and I stil loving it ♥. I love this series because it takes you to a new level of believing the paranormal world . ♥
