Being loved, and not knowing it, could be deadly...

Thirty-two-year-old Kaz Carter leaves his poverty struggles in Maynooth, Ontario, to start his life anew in Toronto, where he lands a job in a gay and lesbian nightclub and has his eyes opened to a lifestyle he’d known only as forbidden. A festive gala is held to ring in the 1988 New Year, and what Kaz doesn’t detect is that he has fallen into the eyes of a deranged hustler who vows to kill anyone that gets in the way of his delusional romance with Kaz. After an unthinkable tragedy occurs, the degrees of separation that had guarded Kaz from a madman begin dwindling down to zero. Kaz is driven to take action—in ways he would never have imagined back in his Maynooth days.

Kaz is a well-written first narrative blend of romantic suspense and crime mystery, spiced up with numerous comedic scenarios and twists that make this colourfully cast-driven story a captivating and pleasurable read.

I really enjoyed this book. A well defined expression and acknowledgement of the main character's (Kaz's) realization of his true sexual identity and desires. A wonderful depiction of Toronto in the gay 80's with characters I feel I may have actually met back then.
The story itself is fast paced and suspenseful. Overall it includes all the necessary ingredients for a great read!

One of the best written and steamiest love scenes between 2 men that I've ever read. The story draws you in and keeps you there until the end.

Hats off to the author...I highly recommend this book and can't wait to read Karldon's next novel
