Take One More Step, Try One More Time: An Inspirational Children's Book on Building Confidence, Self-Esteem, and Never Give Up Attitude for Kids Aged 3-10
A motivational rhyming tale of a baby bird, who is unable to fly.
“What if I do not learn to fly? What if my friends leave me and roam the sky? My wings are short and immature, I cannot fly, I will fall for sure.”
The baby bird, Dippy, is sad and low. While her friends are flying freely in the sky, she is not able to fly. She has already labeled herself as a misfit bird. Her mother then decides to help her. This story is about persistence and having a “never give up” attitude during failures.
Kids need to understand that success often comes after several failures. The trick is to keep on trying, being patient, and not giving up. Using colorful illustrations and easy-to-read rhymes, the book sends the message that we should not quit on what we want and just keep on trying again and again till we succeed.
Greetings from India! I am an engineering doctorate from IIT Delhi, India with an inclination towards children's literature. I believe books are a good way to teach kids important lessons, which could be otherwise difficult. I enjoy reading children's books, and I have recently started writing kid's picture books with an aim to imbibe reading habits and values in children through the magic of books. Other than work and writing, I love playing sports - badminton, cricket, chess, and table tennis.
Dippy is a baby blue bird who is afraid to learn how to fly. Fortunately, she has a loving mother who encourages her along.
I love the illustrations! They are very colorful and cute! The sentences are rhyming and move the story along nicely.
This is a good story about self-esteem and learning to be confident, gaining a new skill. I was cheering Dippy on throughout the story, and clapping over her accomplishments at the end!
A fun story to read to little ones. A nice moral to share about being confident in one’s own abilities.
A cute, colourful little book where little bird is scared to try to fly because he might fall, he might get hurt, he might be embarassed, others might laugh and he might land in a bush, but mother assures him that he can do it. He gains confidence and is eventually successful. Well-written and good teaxching story for children 3-8 years old. My seven year old grandson loved it
