**MYSTERIOUS ANIMAL SIGHTINGS** People have reported sightings of a strange animal roaming the fields in the cities of Newkirk, Ponca City, Blackwell and even Kildare, Oklahoma. One report say's that the animal ran across the street, nearly getting hit by a truck. The driver was so shocked that he and another driver had a nonfatal collision. The driver of the truck report's that the animal looked like a mountain lion but bigger and with more hair. He also report's that he wouldn't have seen it if it didn’t dart in front of him. As his headlight's hit it, he could see that it was solid black; he tells the reporter for the Sun, the Newkirk newspaper. At another location in Kildare another witness, a local Pit-bull breeder, tells reporters that he heard something causing a ruckus out by his dog pins. He went out to investigate and found the cage ripped open and one of his dogs missing and one with its throat ripped out. The man tells the reporter for the Newkirk Sun that the cage was covered with blood and looked like the cage that held the dog, looked shredded. Another resident of Newkirk who does not wish to be known at this time, has also reported hearing what sounded like a pack of dogs were tearing their sheep apart and then they heard what sounded like a massive howl. The following day, the resident went out to check on their flock and they were scattered around, and many of the animals had been gutted and torn to shreds. Authorities have no answers to the strange goings on here in the little town in Northern Oklahoma, and have shown no interest in looking into it. The Sheriff refuses to comment on the matter.
I thought the idea for this book was fantastic. It was a great story and I hope that Elizabeth St. John continues this series. However, who ever edited this did a HORRIBLE job. There were spelling mistakes on almost every page and grammatical error galore! If not for this, I would have given it 5 stars.
This was a good story and it felt like the scenes played out like a movie. There were a lot of twists and turns that I didn't see coming and enjoyed being surprised. I fell in love with the main character and her quirky personality brought a touch of humor to some of the more serious parts. I am rating this a 4 out of 5 because the only thing that took away was, I believe I read an earlier version of the author's book and I had to navigate thru some edit concerns and was left with a few questions about a couple of the characters.
This book was ok in the end. It started out slow then things just worked at a fast pace after that. DeLinda pissed me off almost through mos of the book. She never really knew what or who she wanted. I never thought that it was possible for someone to be that stupid. In the end I did enjoy the book and I'm glad the way it ended and I would love a follow up to Tha so I can see what became of the other characters in this book
The story line was great and easy to follow. You get into DeLinda's life and want her to win. There are a few errors in grammar and spelling, but they are easy to overlook. It is well worth the read.
I fell in love with the characters. At first I was team Gage then I was no way was I on team Gage! I am now definitely team Rayce all the way! This book was very well written and I honestly could not put it down! Looking forward to book 2!!!
I love this book and when #2 comes out I will be stuck in that book I love Beth's way of twisting and turning stuff to make you jump and say WTF I can honestly say I am her #1 biggest fan.
