I did not like it. It was crude, not believable, the characters had no depth, there was no character developement, the situation was ridiculous and not well written- in my opinion- and overall not a good book. I did not enjoy a moment of it, in fact, I had to stop midway because I just couldn't take it anymore. It was all sex this, I want you, Beg me, cock this, pussy that, like HELLO there are other words, it was repetitive and insipid and not tasteful at all. The rockstar thing was downplayed and nothing of his career really came through. They based the story on them and how thye wanted to sleep together not on the fact that she turned into his agent, they didnt say exactly what she had to do, the situation at her firm, or his music. Bad, bad, bad, bad!!!!

This was terrible and I'm mad at myself for even finishing it. The dialog was crude and in first person, which didn't work for this story at all. And I'm sorry but there's NOTHING sexy about being called "little girl", especially when you're in bed. 1/2-star at best.

My Thoughts:

This to me was a book that is being released in 3 parts. I really HATE when this is done. If the pieces were just put together in a book the author would be able to create more depth of character and work the plot so the flow is smoother and the story not disjointed. Rock Hard Love is part one of this serial. Although the story is not terribly unique it is an enjoyable light read. The characters of Simone and James are well rounded. We get bits of background every time they are together. Simone is young and just finding her feet and for her I think this book is almost a coming of age story. James is more road weary he has been there done that..and is now looking for the "real" thing. Victoria is a wonderful villainess she hits all the check boxes for a Disney Witch LOL. This first 81 pages is a introduction to the characters, their feelings, how Simone came to represent James and a quick introduction to the band.

I have enjoyed Part One and I will read Part 2,and 3 but if you are looking for a different kind of rock star and a fast easy read this is worth your time. I have given it 3 stars and a recommendation.

This was a quick read. The author set the story up to be three parts, Rock Hard Love being part one.

Summary:
Simone Navarro is your typical girl next door. She's somewhat shy, sweet, inexperienced and maybe a little naive. She has been working her job, at a popular talent agency, for three months as an assistant. Life is good as far as she is concerned. James Turner is a rock star. Him and his band are extremely popular and he is the the driving force between their success. He's intense, soulful, intelligent, and knows what he wants. Simone meets James for the first time during a meeting with the company CEO, Victoria. After blithely going up against Victoria about James and the band's contract, Simone is worried for her job. Victoria is all about power and money, not the client, but Simone made a big impression on James. He not only thinks she will make a great agent for the band and negotiate fair terms, but he also wants her in his bed. Although she is attracted to James, Simone is nervous to start anything, and fearful of the new demands on her as agent. Simone is hesitant in her actions due to confusion in how James makes her feel. It's not like anything she has ever felt before. Can James show Simone she isn't just a conquest, but that she means more to him, and what happens when Victoria sets out for blood, namely Simone's?

The story was interesting. It wasn't something I feel I cant put down, though. I do want to read the next installments, even to just see where this explosive couple is heading. I'm not gonna lie, I think had the author put all three installments into one big novel with a little more detail, I would have been more happy. Still, I am interested in the outcome of a relationship between a famous rocker and a small town girl after outside forces threaten to tear them apart. <3

I liked this book but it is lacking something for me to give it anything above a 3 star rating. I'm hoping books 2 and 3 captivate me more than this one did because I really wanted to love this series.
The gist of this book is James Turner is a 30+ year old lead singer of the Metal band Battery. Simone Navarro is the assistant to Peter (talent agent of Battery) who is thrown into taking over being Battery's talent agent. Simone is put in charge of getting a contract written up for a 30 day or less tour for the band that will allow the band the time they need to work on their new album. After securing a contract that Simone is positive James will be happy with her boss Vicky demands that Simone leave the company for breech of contract.
After leaving the company James is forced to take matters into his own hands to get what he wants even at the expense of the talent company he has been with since the beginning.
Now with Vicky being pushed into a corner she has threatened to ruin both James and Simone no matter the cost.
Even though there wasn't a cliffhanger perse it leaves you wanting to know what happens next.

I actually read this 182 page read today ,while i was stuck indoors because of a Rainstorm. I really enjoyed the story of rock god James Turner and his new talent agent Simone Navarro. This story is quick ,because it's in a series (this is part #1)but builds the charactors well as the story progresses.
I love a rocker ,that wants a girl that doesn't like his music or that he's a rockstar .Then makes her change her mind about him so fast by listening to an accoustic version of his hard rock song, that she gets emotional and cries, but when they are having rough sex ,he wants her to scream that he's her rock god .
The only reason this got a 4 out of 5 stars was because ,i want the rest of this series now, but i have to sit here all pouty and wait !!

Hmmm ... the jury is still out on this one. I'm going to read the second book to see if it makes it any better for me. The sexy-time scenes were SMOKIN hot but I need just a little more "depth" to my main characters. This book didn't really allow you to get to know them because it was SO short! GAH!!!

I will say that I truly HATE it when I buy a book AND THEN find out that it's one of those "mini-series" type books that contains only a few chapters of what would be a full novel. I feel like I've been duped and it frustrates me. Maybe that's why I'm ok feeling "ok" about this book. Time will tell.

"I know it was ridiculous, but my mom had me convinced that every guy in a harley-Davidson or in a leather jacket was about to rape me" Simone - Rock Hard Love

Well if he is anything like I imagine James Turner to look like I do not think I would mind. This book was short, cute, and appealing to the entire mind. I loved the book it was just enough to keep me satisfied but it certainly left me wanting more. I loved the chemistry and absolutely adored the romance. I will definitely be picking up book 2 in the series.

Quick read - down & dirty steamy scenes.

I'm guessing the author is a Metallica fan? (EX: The male main character, James, is a lead singer of a metal band - as in James Hetfield/lead singer of Metallica ... the name of the band in the book is Battery - which happens to be a seriously awesome song by, you guessed it!, Metallica! )

Kind of a cookie cutter premise : good girl meets bad boy rocker who quickly decides she is the one and he MUST have her. Girl protests (lightly) - boy persists in the chase - next scene they're going at it like wild animals!

I quite enjoyed this quick read. An agent is given more than she can handle when a rock star walks into her office and shakes up her life. The story fell a little flat for me, everything seemed to happen too quickly but I'm looking forward to reading the rest in the series to see what happens next.

Didn't do it for me I'm afraid. The characters were bland to say the least and the writing style wasn't great at all so most definitely won't be reading any others.
