Out of the three books, this one tugged at my heart strings the most. Maybe it was because after the first couple years in the first couple books I was attached to the characters and they gave me so much hope. True, truly a fantastic finale. Glad I finished it at home because I shed some tears at the end.
Reading this series was as great the third time as it was the first time I read it 10 years ago. I fell in love with the characters and the plot kept me turning the pages.
Linda takes you right along with the main characters. The story is gripping, the characters are intriguing both good ones and the bad. I have read this series do many times and still feel or learn something different each time.
"Redaction: Dark Hope" is a wonderful conclusion to the Redaction trilogy. Ms Andrews presents an exciting, fast-paced plot which shows what the survivors of the apocalypse must face while they attempt to re-establish civilization while protected in a mine system from the dangers of the outside world. Although it would be interesting to know some of the other details in the lives of the characters, I believe through the three novels Ms Andrews covers most of the situations survivors would face. The last few chapters illustrate the lives of the main characters once they're able to move out of their mines. This is definitely one of my favorite series based on a post-apocalyptic world.
Dark Hope was a fantastic conclusion to the Redaction series. With the exception of a very few minor typos, that were easily overlooked, it was very well written. I fell in love with the characters and held my breath hoping for their safety. True justice for the good people and the "bad guys" is never easily accomplished...in life and in this story. I was so happy when justice did prevail! I've been absorbed in post-apocalyptic fiction lately and Linda Andrews Redaction series was a refreshingly different take on the popular subject. Now if only she'll let me beta read for her...(hint hint...)
This was a really good series. A very scary, but possible future. The characters were amazing. I loved the last few chapters that gave you a look ahead. I am looking forward to the follow up a 100 years later.
This was a great ending to a awesome series. Looking forward to the further adventures set 100 years after the end of this book to see how humanity copes with coming out of the caves.
What a great series! I absolutely loved all three books. Enjoy!! I would highly recommend this series to anyone that like a little mystery or someone to watch out for in a book!!
