'How to Raise a Man' is a brilliant reflection on parenting teen sons in the modern context. I love how de Beyer initiates the book with self-discovery, informing the general theme that mothers need to start with themselves first in order to parent in a better way. This book read like an essential guide to parenting generally, but particularly in the trying adolescent years. It feels like this book is a crucial tool for all moms seeking a guide to conscious parenting. I loved it.

يعد هذا الكتاب دليلا شاملا يوجه الامهات الى كيفية تربية ابنائهن الذكور ليصبحوا رجالا ناضجين ومسؤولين. تنطلق الكاتبة من تجربتها الشخصية كأم وخبرتها في المجال النفسي لتوضح ان تربية الرجل لا تقوم على القسوة او التدليل المفرط، بل على التوازن بين الحب والحزم، والاستقلال والمسؤولية. تؤكد ان دور الام محوري في بناء شخصية ابنها، لكن لا غنى عن وجود الاب كنموذج ذكوري يحتذى به. كما يناقش الكتاب تحديات العصر الرقمي وتأثيرها على القيم والسلوك، داعيا الى تربية واقعية تخرج رجالا يحترمون انفسهم والاخرين، ويملكون من النضج ما يؤهلهم لبناء اسر ومجتمعات متوازنة

Please ignore the fact that I wrote the preface to this book! I did because I strongly believe in Megan’s wisdom, insight and experience with regard to raising boys to good men. This book should be an essential companion of anyone raising boys ... in these tough and challenging times for parents and sons alike, we all need a copy! It’s both thought-provoking AND comforting. Highly recommended

this is an interesting and intelligent read: the content so relevant to the current challenges facing parenting. As with all challenges, the first person to challenge is yourself and de Beyer guides one into self examination as well as giving practical tools for parenting. I would absolutely recommend this book.

As a mother of 3 sons (two of them teenagers) I found this book indispensable. Megan's advice is heartfelt and smart, and made me look at myself first. Highly recommended for anyone who is tired of battling their boys!
