I love this book as an alternative to the traditional bible story. Especially if like, me, you're tired of the Christian patriarchy. How can you have a father without a mother, after all?! It's a sweet story with lovely illustrations. I gave it to my kids, to friend's for their baby's baptism and now will give it to my granddaughter.
