The book is superb and is filled with a wealth of information. The major drawback is there is no index & with a book like this an index is greatly needed. Many may not like that the author Brannon Howse calls Christian leaders out, mainly for whom they associate with. One of the main reasons given for pointing out the error of these leaders is a good one and one that is often ignored and/or overlooked. It is best stated this way: when a credible, Godly, faithful, consistent, & faithful to the text of Scripture teacher/pastor/leader associates with those who hold heretical views about the Word of God or God Himself, they lend credibility to that heretic giving them an enlarged platform to deceive believers.

This is quite serious and as a result of solid leaders being careless (for whatever the reason) it has indeed given, those with wrong & heretical teaching concerning the things of God, an enlarged position of influence. It is not a warning that it will happen but that it has already happened and is increasing.

The church’s greatest danger has never been persecution, violent or not, from those outside the church. Persecution often strengthens the church. However the greatest danger facing the church today is the same that Peter & Paul warned about in the pages of Scripture. It is the dangers of false teachers, wolves’ in sheep’s clothing.

You will be surprised, you may become angry, but if you give careful thought to what Brannon writes in light of the teaching of Scripture you must conclude that he is right.

Excellent book and well documented. Very helpful if you were doing research yourself.
