Janell writes a suspenseful, relevant, and revolutionary novel for readers to grasp the vain spirited celebrity beauty of Armenian and Italian descent: Persia who is willing to do what it takes to be on top. This diva believes she has found the new secret for her current success and take it to the next level: hair. She calls her stylist and gets her extension locks and rocks the heights of her movie projects and career but a nightmare comes to torment her mind. You will not believe what you are attached and linked to, could it be in the new hair?
This short story was filled with hint of suspense, comedy, and see how vanity can overtake your soul (mind and emotions)! I am a new fan of Janell, cannot wait to read the full-fledged novel and future books by this author.

This was an interesting short story!
It had a good, fast (almost too fast in a few parts) plot that made it an enjoyable read! Plus the beginning suspense had me wanting to read more since I had no idea why Persia was hearing what she was!
I also liked how there was a Biblical message woven into it! A reminder to me that beauty may fade, but the Word of God will last forever! We truly need Him as our foundation rather then our own looks! Plus I really liked Persia's ending conservation concerning her hair when God speaks to her in her heart! So realistic!
Overall, I enjoyed reading "Vanity" and am hoping book 2 will be even longer because I want to read more about Persia!

A fast-paced short story about the evils of the human hair trade. Persia is a famous actress who desperately wants to be the most beautiful woman in the world. In her quest for a long thick head of hair, she gets a surprise of a lifetime. Brilliantly written and expertly developed imagery this short story will leave you ready for the next one...trust me I'm already downloading it.
