Promises

Rate this book
My name is Cedar. It should be known that I was not going to make the agreements. I liked all four of them. They are good people. They should have let me leave but they didn’t. Instead they carelessly spoke words without thought. It is not relevant that their words were spoken with innocent intentions. The words were still spoken. It also will not matter that they found help from the man known as the Professor. He will not be able to prevent the inevitable. I am a trader. That is what I do. I am returning and I will collect what they owe. Four promises were made. Four debts must be paid.

I am Michael Edward, a husband, a father of six, a friend, and a self-proclaimed storyteller. I say storyteller because to use the word writer would be a misrepresentation, it might imply that I can write. I have always felt that my imagination was my strength and I always see everything as a movie. A lot of times when I write, its like I am sitting in a movie theater watching it on screen and I just write down what I see with the words that I know.

I love to write screenplays and that bleeds into my writing style. Also, I have epilepsy, and my seizures have increased, so if they bleed into the writing I apologize. I just want to tell entertaining stories that give people a chance to escape reality for a bit. I mean no disrespect to writers.

Although this is a short read, it held quite an intriguing story. Evil against the devoted family unit will keep you reading. I liked the story. An innocent promise turns the lives of two families to the end. Their love for each other was very evident. The professor and Three are worthy opponents to Cedar. I plan to follow the next story. This is a well written story. Recommended!

Amazing. Quite descriptive without being overpowering. There's a lot more dialogue than in his TBOTE Series - a plus. Dialogue and narrative are well-balanced here, and because of that you get a deeper sense of the characters' emotions.
