Why should you read this webtoon?

1. The characters are all kick ass. They are strong, quirky, adorable and interesting.

2. Every side character is three dimensional with their own unique personalities, backstories and goals. They all grow on you and you miss them when the story focuses only on the leads.

3. Everyone has their own quirks. No one is perfect. Granted, certain characters can be annoying at times, but you see them all grow up.

4. The reversal of gender stereotypes is noteworthy. The girls in this webtoon are all strong and can fight well. They hit on the male lead, who tries to get away from all the attention from girls. So our male lead is the cinnamon roll and the girls courting him fit the male MC cliches.

5. It is hilarious. The comedy is placed deftly between action scenes to make this series unputdownable.

6. Too many ships. Since the side characters are also lovable, you can't help root for their love.

7. It's chock full of tsunderes (this may be a good or a bad thing based on your preference).

What might put off some readers?

1. The ending is as expected and satisfying, but it still feels a bit rushed.

2. It would have been nice if there was an epilogue focusing on the side characters. The readers will have so many questions because the minor characters are lovable.

3. Season 2 has too much melodrama and way too less action. After emotionally investing in the characters for 200 chapters, most readers won't mind it. However, the never-ending love triangle is sure to annoy some readers.

This webtoon is about a guy who gets into an all-girls school, Wild's, that is specialized in martial arts. Jaegu (the guy) knows nothing about sports or fighting, so he finds it pretty difficult to get used to the new environment. He gets into trouble and is bullied a lot but these amazing girls are always there to help him, teach him to take care of himself and have more confidence. With them, he becomes stronger little by little.

Queen, Moonyoung and Daldal (and all the other girls) are some characters I want to read more about. They are strong, independet and funny girls. I would read 100 other volumes and never get bored. These girls rock. The charaters are actually all very interesting. They have their own story lines, personalities and goals to achive. None of them is annoying. They fit the plot perfectly.

The action is amazing as well. Everytime I'd read a page of this webtoon, I felt like working out. *jumping rope* I wanna be athletic like them too! *cries while jumping rope*

I have laughed at the little jokes... like really, I have. There are funny moments in every chapter.

The art is breathtaking. I seriously need to have a physical copy in my hands. I NEED IT. Where do I find it though? *cries while jumping rope and asking Siri*

This webtoon just blew my mind away. It is incredibly hilarious while being packed with loads of action and boy starved girls. Competition is intense and the ways new characters and potential love interests are introduced is heartwarming..

Hot girls starved from normalcy+ talented in martial arts+ fearless+ death fights/arenas + 1 boy = A HELL LOT OF PANCAKES DIPPED IN AWESOMESAUCE!!

THE AWFULLY BEAUTIFUL TO BE COUPLE:

INTRODUCING-
I'm hot but I still get my ass kicked - Jaegu Song

I remember enjoying this comic when I first read it but looking back its just 200+ episodes of oversexualized female characters, unnecessary drama, and heteronormativity.

I only stumbled across this, because I was looking for a harem genre manga to read for a comic reading challenge, but I'm actually really liking this series. It's a little overdramatic (obviously the fighting is, but I'm referring more to all the characters' angst), but I like that Hun tries to give each side character a backstory. It reinforces that idea that you never really know what a person is going through, so try to cut people some slack.

This title reminded me of the way in which many comics by women, especially shonen ai, are written with with mostly male characters, but which end up seeming gender fluid, at least with respect to social "norms" of gender, because they're male character written by women to help understand relationships. In this case, the girls of the main character's "harem" all espouse stereotypically "masculine" traits like being assertive (or aggressive), and very physically dominant through martial arts. I'd hazard a guess that this is also appealing to guys in a society in which it seems like women are becoming more high-powered and branching into traditionally masculine sectors, whereas the same broadening of the idea of "masculinity" has not occurred. I think that it also resonates because it taps on the fact that both girls and guys get weirdly apprehensive/socially awkward when trying to make friends or ask someone out.

I think that all the girls falling over each other (sometimes literally in this title) to hit on the main male character is easier for me to suspend my disbelief about than in other harem titles because Jaegu is actually a nice guy, and not a "nice guy" who complains about girls not liking him because he's too nice, but an actual nice human being trying to get a good education and raise his siblings.

The above makes the book sound so serious, but it's not! It's a fun read, with good art, which has a little extra substance than your average harem manga that makes it a worthwhile read.

My friend kept recommending this to me so I caved in to all the hype... but was not too impressed. It is interesting, but most of the episodes feel like filler and overdramatic fluff. I do like how Jaegu overcomes his obstacles and bullies, and this series is actually getting me interested in MMA fighting and just being able to defend oneself in general. Strong female characters and all that. I've put it down for a couple of days already (binged through about half, I think?) but I think I'll go back to it soon... suppose this is a review for the first half then.

Review for all 207 Chapters out to date:

I Laughed so much with this there is no way to not give the 5 stars. THE QUEEN! I love her, she is great in her own way and very funny by not been funny at all. There is a lot of action and fighting. There are not unnecessary nudity or boobs everywhere but there is some fan service.

I'll Keep reading this no matter what.

The best place to read this is on Webtoons. Don't make my mistake to read it in a manga site. You get the whole chapters in one page, is free :)

warning for typical heteronormativity

When I read the plot I was honestly expecting a lot of annoying panty shots and like the main character living life with a harem at Wild’s. I’m so happy that’s not what happened. These girls are independent and kickass and beautiful and I love them. Literally every time they fight a stupid proud man who says women can’t fight, I cry tears of joy seeing them kick their asses 😩 wild’s is a lot better than I expected and I can’t believe there’s only one season left

Amazing. I love this artist. Always blowing me away. All of these female characters are flawed yet strong because of it, and so, so powerful. I love it

Strong characters and intriguing story.I started it once before also but had not finished it. Restarted it this year and just could not keep it down. Not a fan of chick flicks but got hooked to this one. The drawing and the storyline were amazing.

Loved the style and the harem wasn’t too consuming but I would have loved to read more about personal development. It felt kind of dragging and not getting to the point at the end. All in all a good read but wished for more.

Just finished Season 1 (204 Chapters later). You can find this on webtoon in English HERE

The main reason why I chose to read this is because I liked the art style and I have caught up on all of the other webtoons I was reading. But Girls of the Wild's does not disappoint!

It can make you laugh, cry, and stress out on what may happen next! I read a review that said, the plot was very reminiscent of the 1984 Karate Kid movie, I 100% agree with that (just a few manhwa/manga differences). I would definitely recommend reading this in small chunks, some of the conflicts can be a little repetitive (if you are binge reading) but its still enjoyable. Near the end of Season 1 it starts to lean towards conflict that is more dramatic/romantic, with not as many action/fight scenes. In the end, I still really love and enjoy these characters. Only 56 chapters to go!

This is my review for the first half of the series (since there are only two parts on Goodreads).
To be honest, normally I just read Japanese manga, but this series seemed kind of interesting. And man am I glad I started reading it!! I've fallen in love with the art style and the humour is on point ^_^ Choi Dal Dal is one of my favs. She is just so funny and cute and strong and I kind of want to be like her.
Actually I never really thought I would read a graphic novel that concerns itself with fighting and sports. But now I really want to learn martial arts! The fighing weaves in seamlessly with the overall slice of life/school life story. There are moments you want to laugh, moments you want to cry and moments you need to keep on reading even if it already past midnight.
Can't wait to see what the next half will bring! ^_^

Baca ulang komiknya di webtoon. Nggak tahu nih, kayaknya lagi pengen ngulang-ngulang komik yang udah selesai di Webtoon aja. Kayak ini, terus "Salty Studio", sama "The Stories of Those Around Me".

Cih... -___-

Untung semakin lama perkembangan dia semakin baik. Terus kalau dipikir-pikir kok kayaknya jadi agak beda sifatnya sama yang di awal, ya? Benarkah demikian? Tauk deh. Mesti baca ulang sampe beres dulu.... ^^;

As a girl, I really wanted to be like the girls of the wild's. They are so fearless, as they are all trained in martial arts and it looks very inspiring at the early stages of the webtoon. The male lead (Jaegu) is bullied, a pushover until he joins Wild's high school where the girls train him to face all his bullies. That being a part of the story, the female leads (Queen and Daldal) falls in love with Jaegu, therefore the love triangle and the story takes a different route thereon. It's an overall entertainter and therefore countless scenes were I have laughed so much. I'm really happy I read this one.

The story basically starts at Wilds High, which is a fighting specialist all-girls private highschool meant solely for the elite. Yet, that guven year it was changed into a mixed-gender school & the only male student, Song Jae Gu, has been granted a full 3-year scholarship regardless of grades. Being someone who had to spend every moment working to take care of his two younger siblings, he accepted.

Honestly this was my first ever manhua when it first came out years ago and I have such a soft spot for this story & for the characters 😭 I love the art style too so I'm biased on rating this story as is. I'm just so fond of it as a whole and even enjoy rereading it at times.

Meet JaeGu, a cute little (ahem) weakling who's just become the token male in an all-girl's high school. With pressure from the ministry of education to become Co-ed, clueless and clumsy JaeGu finds himself the recipient of a full scholarship to a school renowned for its athletics and champion-producing heritage. Not to mention... The GIRLS!!! They're Sassy, sexy, tough and classy and they all call dibs on the painfully helpless JaeGu.

Beautiful artistry with a clever and witty storyline, makes this a fun and fast read.

Side note:
Not smut.

Finished it just now, the whole series. It was great with a lot of actions and character development. I enjoyed seeing all the characters grow as a person, I did like the ending of it but I think it could have been a little more.

But overall it was enjoyable and I would actually buy this manga collection.

This manga series was amazing. The art work is fantastic, characters are really well developed and the main characters are all strong independent females (except of course the only guy at the school). I highly recommend giving it ago and if you're not hooked by the end of the first chapter...jokes, you will be. :)

"A 'boy' or a 'girl'! Bring it on, if you have the guts!"

Started off good, then over halfway it gets boring and repetitive and catty. Then it got dull and incredibly long winded and annoying for one bloody love story. Meh.
