Dana Marie Bell wrote her first short story when she was thirteen years old. She attended the High School for Creative and Performing Arts for creative writing, where freedom of expression was the order of the day. When her parents moved out of the city and placed her in a Catholic high school for her senior year she tried desperately to get away, but the nuns held fast, and she graduated with honors despite herself.
Dana has lived primarily in the Northeast (Pennsylvania, New Jersey and Delaware, to be precise), with a brief stint on the US Virgin Island of St. Croix. She lives with her soul-mate and husband Dusty, their two maniacal children, an evil ice-cream stealing cat and a bull terrier that thinks it’s a Pekinese.
Very cute and funny. Him repeatedly jumping over her in an attempt to catch her made me chuckle a couple times. The present day interludes from their children being horrified when they got to the sexy times were also funny.
A Halle Shifters Holiday Story Heather's Notes This is the story of how Alex "Bunny" parents meet. It is cute and surprisingly pg. I did like it and enjoyed the byplay between them all.
3.75/5 Decent urban fantasy book with a shifter focus. Good characters and entertaining plot. Reading the book as a standalone is probably going to harm the readers enjoyment.
Author: Dana Marie Bell First published: 2012 Length: 26 pages Setting: Contemporary Sex: fade to black
It's a short story, a little moment in time. Sweet and easy but nothing overly special.
Halle Shifters: Book 1 Bear Necessities - Alexander “Bunny” Bunsun (Bear) and Tabitha Garwood (wolf) Book 2 Cynful - Julian DuCharme (Spirit Bear) and Cynthia “Cyn” Reyes (human) Book 2.5 Bear With Me (holiday short story) - Barb (human) and Will (bear) Book 3 Bear Naked - Ryan Williams (bear) and Glory Walsh (human) Book 4 Figure of Speech - Chloe Williams (fox) and James Woods (human/wolf)
A Christmas Short Story to see us through until the next book comes in 2013. Enjoyable read, rounds out some corners in the story and will help move the plot along a bit. If you miss reading this one it is not crucial to the series but it sure is a bit of fun to Celebrate the holidays with our Favorite Bear family!
A solid 3.5 rating for this short story and I'm still anxious for the next Halle Shifter/Puma books
What a sweet little visit with the Halle Shifters!! This story reminded me why I love this series!
I have to go back and read Bunny and Tabby's story and then get to Cyn and Julian!!
Ms Bell is a wonderful story teller who has created an awesome world!! She instills just the right amount of humor and sass into her writing. I just wish the wait between books weren't so long! Oh well, quality takes time!
A sweet short story about how Bunny's (Bear Necessities) parents met. I really wish it had been longer and that we found more about the struggles they went through being an interracial couple instead of just the night they officially mated. Although, Bunny and his brother Eric's reactions hearing the story of their parents' first night together was really funny.
3.5 stars - this was a fun little freebie holiday set Hallie Shifter short (available on the authors website.) It was fun to see Bunny and Tabby at his parents home and even more fun to get to listen in as Bunny's dad tells the story of claiming Bunny's mom (all while Bunny tries to keep the telling PG13.) What a nice little treat.
This was so much fun to read! I loved hearing how Bunny's parents got together. The best part was when the boys chimed in trying to block out the part of their parents having sex.
FREE FROM AUTHORS WEBSITE. loved this short 26pg story about how Bunnys mum n dad got together. Hilarious. Got to see whole different side to Will (Bunny's) dad.
Gotta be honest, half the fun of this is the parental trauma *maniacal laughter*. But that could be because I'm one of the few people I know not traumatized by it.
A great funny short story of how Mr and Mrs Bunsen met and mated. I laughed out loud in some places. This tale is told to Tabby much to the discomfort of Bunny and Eric.
