Eternity was a cute story. It was a fast paced quick read, that really would have been good for valentines day.

Therin is a cupid who ends up on one last assignment to help the lonely and shy Lucy Carlton and the success or failure of his mission pretty much determines the outcome of his future and were he moves on.

Lucy Carlton is lonely and has a hard time getting involved with man, so Therin visits her while she is sleeping in hopes of having Lucy realize her temptation and that she as a beautiful woman can find love. Of course one sizzling night with Therin has Lucy falling for the wrong man, and with Therin's fate on the line he must trust in love in hopes that Lucy will choose the right path to save them both.

Despite the instant love in this story, I did enjoy it. I really liked Therin, it was almost sad that as a cupid he was able to help so many but it's not in the stars for him to fall in love and when he does, it is with a human. I wish the story would have been longer, because the ending felt rushed and confused me. Still, it had me rooting for Therin's happy ending, and even if it was for a split moment, I realized that I did not know how this book was going to end. A steamy fast read that had me rooting for love.

WHAT I LIKED

I loved the premise! It felt very fresh and it was a neat concept. I REALLY loved Therin lol. This was a sexy book but there was plenty of plot in there as well. I'll be honest, sometimes straight romance bores me but this kept me very interested. I wanted to know how it was going to end and couldn't put it down!


WHAT I DIDN'T LIKE:

I wanted it to be longer! Then again all novellas I want to be longer but really, I hated having to say goodbye to Therin. I'd have liked a little bit more to the ending, maybe a mini epilogue or something. The ending got a tad confusing for me with how everything worked out in the end. It's hard to go into specifics without giving anything away but let's just say I'd have liked a tad more explanation and a few extra pages to help tell the tale :)


OVERALL VERDICT: 4.5/5 Blue Duckies!!

I thought this was very fresh and loved the premise. Therin is damn sexy and I adored Lucy. My only beef was the ending felt just a tinge lacking in explaining everything. I still HIGHLY recommend this book to everyone!

All of us could use a little Therin in our lives! Lucy is the beautiful woman trapped inside many of us. The woman who exists in the real world, but doesn't appreciate how wonderful she really is. It takes the work of a Cupid to make her realize how powerful and wonderful she really is. Add to that a hot romance and sexual encounters that are out of this world, and you have yet another hot and amazing read by author Kim Carmichael. Definitely for adults only!

The Review
I love a good romance and this is one, but with added extra’s, erotica and the wonderful paranormal, this book could not get any better, We all see cupid as a small cherub with chubby cheeks and a beautiful smile, that’s not this cupid, (Sorry I mean Facilitator) the only thing Therin had in common with the cupid’s we know and love is his beautiful smile, everything else about this cupid makes me want to bite his bum, yummy is not the word, He shows Lucy how to love, The author has written this so well, it flowed so easily, it is a great read for the commute to work, just make sure there are no kiddies looking over your shoulder, your kindle will surely need cooling down after this one, I nearly called the fire brigade out for mine, I really enjoyed the ending, I am just so happy with the ending, sometimes endings leave me a little deflated, but this had a great ending, The author really got to the heart of the characters and drew you into their lives, Highly recommended to all friends, 5/5

Kim Carmichael's Eternity is the kind of story that reminds you that true love IS possible and happens when you least expect it. Lucy has never been comfortable around men but is desperate to find love as she longs for a connection to another. She thought the love of her life was her coworker Joshua until the night Cupid enters her life to coach her in the ways of love and sets her on a journey of decadent delights. Lucy is a dreamer who feels comfortable in her own world but feels uncomfortable making the first move. She has a shell around her that feels safe and yet she's lonely. Her loneliness is palpable and made me sad for her and rooting for her to become more vocal in the fate of the future.

Therin hates being called Cupid as he doesn't wear a diaper and he's tall, sexy, and to die for. He's a Facilitator whose final mission is to help Lucy find love. He has rules he's supposed to live by but the honesty, sweetness, and joy he sees in her eyes at the smallest things completely wins him over as their lessons take on a more intense turn. With his soul on the line the teacher has now become the student as Lucy shows him the meaning of real love if he's just willing to take a chance.

Therin and Lucy are a wonderful couple! Their sexual encounters are steamy and you can see Lucy coming out of her shell the longer she's with him. From these steamy encounters to the quiet moments spent talking you see a connection building that transcends their mortal/immortal differences. His jaded nature needs her dream-like ideals and they both give the other exactly what they need to reach an immensely satisfying HEA. Though the ending of the story is rushed, their romantic journey was nicely paced to allow the sexual tension to build and knowing they only had a week together leant a frantic feel to every moment they had together. Ms. Carmichael's ultimately written a truly romantic story that incorporates intriguing paranormal elements and it was the perfect way to spend Valentine's Day.

'This book portrays very hot and steamy situations in which if you do not have a partner to read this with then maybe you should wait until you do for fear that you may implode from overheating and too much excitement.'

Okay, now that I've warned you it is totally your fault if you read this without heeding to my warning. That being said, WHEW, this was an exceptionally exciting novella that, although there were only 57 pages, did not leave me in want or need of a good ending as do a lot of short stories. To tell you the truth I don't think I could've handled much more! It was hot, steamy and proved what true love will do when faced with the right or wrong situations. If you were faced with having to choose between love and breaking all the rules for it or keeping the rules but never truly having love, which would you choose? It had a wonderful storyline of a very innocent young woman and the man of her dreams who just so happened to be CUPID. When Cupid decides to except the job of teaching this young woman how to love in exchange for his freedom several things happen and cause both of their worlds to turn upside down. I won't spoil this for you, but rather intice you to read this book to see what happens for yourself. Again, this is a very exciting book and if your heart can't handle certain situations I suggest you go read something a little less exciting. Job well done Kim Carmichael! ~AC Wright, (WaAr)~

Therin is a Facilitator, or Cupid as some would call him. He has been given a special case.

Lucy is a lovely young woman that does not know what it is like to be loved. She is shy and it has been decided by the powers that be that Therin is the one to open her up to life and show she how to feel, how to enjoy the pleasures that her body holds.

Therin starts out as usual to give her a dream with all the pleasures that she is too shy to seek on her own. When he leaves her dream and she is on her own nothing has changed and he decides that even though it is against the rules that he needs to actually appear to her and show her how to gain this freedom while not in a dream state. He gets her to open up and feel but in the process he has also shown her love. He has done the forbidden and fallen love with a human and as their time together comes to an end she finally let's herself acknowledge that she openly feels love and all the emotions that he has worked so hard for to show her.

When you think of cupid what's the first thing to come to mind? Ok now throw that out the window cause Therin is no diaper wearing baby, he is a very sexy, jaded and depressed cupid or facilitator as they call it now a days.

He is given one last chance to either redeem himself or damn himself. His last assignment is Lucy, a beautiful but tragically shy and insecure young women with a fascination for astronomy.
Will Therin, succeed in finding Lucy love or will the passion and lust between these two be his downfall?

My only real disappointment with this story was we never found out if there was a specific reason why Therin was so jaded and depressed. The story kept eluding to a deeper reason why but we were only given generalizations. Other than that this book was hot and steamy with some love and tenderness and a mix of self sacrifice on the side. To top it off watching Lucy transform from the insecure girl to a beautiful, sexy woman was inspiring and not to give away the ending but ;)

Eternity was a sweet and sexy read. I enjoyed reading it and absorbed it quickly.

The characters, Therin and Lucy, are likeable characters and easy to follow. There's lots of mystery and an attempt at a back story surrounding both of these characters, especially Therin's, that's never fully divulged or explored which was a shame; this held the characters from fully developing or me really appreciating all that Therin had experienced.

There was just enough meat on the characters for me to appreciate this novella for its sweetness. At times it was sexy, although, I felt that the novella only just ventured into the realm of erotica.

If you're a newbie into the world of erotica and enjoy paranormal reads, Eternity is a pretty perfect starting point. Likewise, more seasoned readers of both genres will no doubt enjoy Eternity and get a nice romance fix in a quick and enjoyable read.

This novella was a fun take on the myth of Cupid. Therin is one of the immortal Facilitators (known as Cupids by humanity). His job is to help bring humans together to find love. Due to an error in judgment during a previous job he is given one final chance to complete a job and to move forward into another role.

His final task involves helping Lucy, a shy withdrawn virgin, gain confidence so she can find love in her life. While he works with Lucy he falls in love with her and Lucy falls in love with him, something that is an impossibility between human and immortal. The love scenes between Therin and Lucy are hot and steamy. I loved how this story ended, glad that everyone achieved what they wanted.

This is a fast read, great for a lunch break!

A cupid is sent on one last mission, he must assist a woman to discover her inner goddess and become the woman she was meant to be. For Therin the job was easy, swoop in and unlock Lucy’s inner goddess to assist her with falling in love with her co-worker Joshua. But Therin had it all wrong and have to jump in and save the situation before his own demise. He never saw it coming, but Lucy was never meant to for Joshua but for him. But how can a cupid stay with a human?

This was a stunning read from start to finish. But it was way too short for me. I loved to see the love between Therin and Lucy build until that moment where your heart stops for them and you yell No to try and save them. A well-remembered message that with love there are no exceptions. You grab it and hold on to it for eternity. Beautifully executed by the author and a well-deserved 5 stars.

This was a really good short read. A cupid falls in love! This was a sweet, sexy story right from the first page. Lucy can't trust that any man would want her. She's shy and can't seem to bring herself to climax, no matter how hard she tries. Enter Therin, a cupid who's been burned by love and doesn't believe in it, despite his occupation. He's dying for a new assignment. Their time is limited and his fate is in Lucy's hands. If she falls in love, he'll be saved. If she fails to move forward her potential office romance, she's dooming Therin to eternal damnation.
Despite its shortness, this book still had a lot of character depth. I would have loved a little more back story and meat in the story, but for a one-sitting read, it was a delight.

Lucy has never been loved and yearns to feel and be loved. Lucy has feelings for Joshua at work, but does not know how to approach him. She is a bit out of her league there, Lucy has never been candid about her feelings.
Therin a facilitator is there to help Lucy. Therin facilitates humans find what they desire. Lucy is his one last job. Success is a must for Therin.
One week, that's all. Therin must help Lucy with Joshua. It will not be easy. Can Lucy go for Joshua when Therin makes her feel alive. From their first kiss their whole story is written they are made for each other. Their time together is the beginning and the end for both. This is a cute quick read. Starts out steamy and keeps on going.
Love alway come from the least unexpected person.

I received this book from Kim and I am so glad that she gave it to me for a review. For a short book it had such an awesome story. I loved the story of Therin (cupid) and Lucy. Lucy is an outsider who dreams and wants love but she cant seem to find it. She doesnt know how to act around guys and so Therin is sent to her. Therin tries to teach Lucy how to get what she wants most. If he can do this he can get a new assignment in heaven. Lucy and Therin's relationship grows as he tried to teach her. He is her first of many things and you cant help but hope that they end up together. It was an excellent read with great characters and story. I would recommend it to anyone who likes a hea.

This book is amazing so many heart felt moments and very steamy!

This story is about a Facilitator (cupid) named Therin who if course it sent to help people find love, when all of a sudden he is sent to Lucy who for some reason could never find love and has never been with a man. So Therin breaks every rule from the gods to help this poor women and in the process falls in love. She knows from the very moment they made love that she loved this man and only him. He tries to get her to fall in love with the man she though she loved but just back fired on him. Lucy and Therin know they have to be together no matter what the cost be.

This story gave Cupid a whole new meaning. A hot one at that! It definitely had the sizzle factor but also had a touching love story as well. From the first page it had my attention and even though at the time I was just going to grab a quick look and go back to it later when I actually had the time, I ended sitting there reading it until I was finished.
A wonderful unique take on an old character that everyone thinks they knew all about.
