Nelson Pahl is an award-winning writer. After penning literary fiction for his first four titles, his most recent projects include the Cole Slaven spy novel serial, along with The Gnomes fantasy fiction trilogy and its spin-offs.

Nelson holds a BA in Creative Writing, as well as an MBA Certificate in Management. He's also a former member of the United States Freestyle Ski Team.

This short story was a brief introduction to IBAT super-spy Cole Slaven. Like any good appetizer, it whet my appetite for more, although I could have done without as much shifting between the current scene and the flashbacks.

Got this on Amazon as a free read. Love it. I have already read the first novel in the series, the Freedom Alert. But I thought this was a great addition - and I think it is a great starter for anyone that wants to check out the series ... especially since its free!
