ah! i can not believe i finished my first manga series. it's been a wonderful ride and i'm so sad i finished this awesome series! i couldnt recommend it enough if you're first starting out with manga.
i loved the ending of it, it was definielty a perfect wrap up to the series. i will miss these crazy characters!
It just happened I guess? Like it just ended. I don’t really know what hanabi’s wish is unless I missed it. I feel like the series as a whole could have ended at maybe volume 3? I feel like 2 additional volumes are just not needed especially just for hanabi and Yasu to have sex. Some of the scenes were cute but maybe for like a volume not 2. Overall decent series 3.5/5

4 stars. This last book is a bit less cohesive and felt more like short side stories, but the storyline did move forward and there was a connecting thread at the end with the festival.
I read these when I was in high school for the first time and I remember LOVNG it. I actually loved a lot of Rie Takada’s series. I have a soft spot for rowdy female leads and this particular one was so fun. Hanabi and Yasu’s relationship was also so healthy and cute that I found myself smiling throughout the series when they would overcome a hurdle. The first two books are gold, however, the last two books are...odd. The character development just disappears and characters make some extremely weird decisions. Overall, it’s a cute slice-of-life fluffy Shojo romance and it will give you a couple smiles along the way :)
This was a fun, short series with a number of laugh of loud moments. I would give it about 3.5 stars overall I think. Whilst it was fun it never grabbed me and Hanabi seemed to constantly change her mind about stuff for no reason.
"I was hating myself, but I'm okay now. I AM A GOOD PERSON!"
Rowdy Hanabi wrestles with her insecurities while Yasu deals with the drama of meeting Hanabi's dad. Will they get their happy ending? What do you think?
"You may do some messed up stuff, but life's been so cool since I met you."
Overall, I give this series a 3/5 stars. It’s entertaining, that’s for sure. It has exaggerated humor and the most random crazy things happen. Definitely don’t expect anything serious from this series. It’s shallow as a puddle but it’s fun. I wasn’t bored reading this.
I remember reading this series when I was in middle school…. Reading it now, as an adult, the nostalgia is what made this more enjoyable than it is. I wanted to strangle poofy, and all the boys looked the same and had no personality.
This volume is a bit of a mess - you really wouldn't know that this is the final volume of this series when reading it. This volume focuses of trivial storylines that would normally be filler segments, and doesn't add much to Hanabi and Yasu's relationship, other than that they finally had sex and told each other they loved each other. Whilst this is a progression for them, there is no gravitas to highten the moment, and we don't learn of any potential future plans for their relationship.
Ultimately, this was a disappointing ending to this series.
Man... Just re-read this for the second time. But once i started I couldn't stop. I loved the whole series. And I wish that there could be more to the series.
