There's a few mistakes in this book. First off, starting calligraphers should use a larger than normal pen, just like when you first started writing. This allows you to see mistakes more easily and get letter forms down better. None of this start with a small pen hogwash, please.
Some of the alphabets are nice in here. Could be better. Their Blackletter seems entirely too... clean. For lack of a better word. I'm sure it will do in a pinch, but that a is just not supposed to be so round.
It's an okay book to start with. The introduction pages were better.
