The first one starts out in 2008 with Korigan Lacey. The second takes place in the 1850’s with Corianne Kelly. These two seventeen year old girls are connected by family ties as well as some other unusual happenings. A third story, the part that puts the fairy godmother in the fairy tale, is inserted in the middle for the sake of chronological comprehension.

I never imagined I would write a novel, since I am not a writer by profession, but somehow the idea came to me for this story, and I just started writing. Then it was done before I had given much thought to what I was going to do with it when I finished.
When I started writing, I had not intended to write a "Christian" book, a clean romance yes, but not specifically Christian. The first half of the book is not very Christian, however, it just kind of got more Christian as I wrote it. I guess a person, or at least me, cannot separate their deeply held beliefs from anything they do, at least not when a person writes from the heart.

I really enjoyed this book. I especially like American history and Historical Biography, and this book was close enough to that to interest me. As I am an older person, I never had read anything including time travel before, except for some of C.S.Lewis's writings, but once I figured it out, I felt it added much interest to the story. I didn't relate much to Korigan as a modern girl, but once she dropped back into the mid 19th century, the story became gripping. As Corianne found it similarly confusing, probably more so, to suddenly become a part of the 21st century, this part of the story became super interesting too. The two main romances were very original, and little details like the Norwegian grandmother found in China, and the Chinese girl captured by the western desperadoes certainly added original touches. I don't read much fiction, but when I do, I can usually spot the hero and predict the outcome in the first few chapters, if not pages. I could not do that with this book. I was guessing until almost the end as to how it was going to turn out.
Dear Tiz was a wonderful read. This book is about the lives of two girls and how their lives are drastically changed to be where God wants them. This book has romance, adventure, time change, and so much more. I love how this book brings life in the past and life in the now together. I enjoyed the stories of both girls and reading the the changes they went through and who they became through the change. As I got into the book I couldn't put it down. I would encourage anyone, especially women to read this book. And I also think there are many men who would enjoy reading this book as well:) The story is very original and exciting:)... Artfully written and one of a kind.
This is a book unlike any other I have read. The story is on an epic scale. The pace is good and there is always plenty happening and many surprises for the reader. If I just gave stars for the storyline, I'd give 5 but the downside is the wordiness. There are many pages to wade through before the story begins. I hope Aslaug will work on this because, once it does, I found the characters appealing and the author's good intentions shine through. A very satisfying conclusion is reached and I am left with much to think about.
I have finally decided to rate my own book. I have gone back and forth on this subject to the point of ridiculousness. Should I rate it or not? Well, I guess so. If you want to know why I gave it 4 stars instead of 5 stars, you can visit my blog for the explanation.
