Seguimos en el torneo, ya por el día 4 y aún faltan 3 para lo que sea que ocurrirá. Luxus venció a Raven tail pero eso no significa nada ya que aún mantienen sus planes. Sabertooth es un asco de gremio excepto quizás por un miembro. Yerald en futuros problemas y probablemente arrastrar a algunos de fairy tail con él. A ver como sigue.

Erza's moment is arguably the best in this comic series so far. And probably one of the best female comic action scene ever.

I am starting to get a bit bored of this arc. Not to mention I am sad to see Lucy go from kicking ass to being lame.

Okay, THIS is the book that got me to fall in love with this arc.
I mean, I know all that setup had to happen. We have to back our heroes up against the wall so they can strike back all the harder, etc. etc. But man, there was so much about this volume I loved.
Let's start with Wendy's fight - a very cool battle because it showed the two as equals, and yet that they were able to separate battle from personal. I absolutely loved how the fight ended, even if I was not particularly enamored with the result.
Also, Erza. Just... Erza. Her section was amazing and badass and just... ahh, I loved it! I love her. I wish I could be like her. :)
Oh yeah, and even Cana got a chance to show off a little bit for her team. <3
Also, I think the fight Laxus is in may be one of my very favorite Laxus scenes in the history of Fairy Tail. I've never really warmed up to him before now, but man, he finally turned it one - both the badassness and the awesomeness.
Sorry, this is sort of gushy, but this one really had me from start to end.
The only bad part for me was the very end - the last fight. That character better be getting set up for an awesome chance to shine by the end of this arc.

the one thing I love most about natsu is that he will always stand up for the people and matters that he believes in!
LAXUS <3 “The master’s enemies are my enemies.”
The way he so boldly said this statement made me proud. After all he and master makarov have been through, Laxus still proud stands and fights for him and fairy tail… against his own father no matter.
While fighting his father guild [raven tail]. He spars off against each member in the guild who has personally attack a member of [FT] his guild. I loved this scene soo much. It’s a perfect portrayal of how laxus is overlooked as not caring about the other FT members but deep down he does! He has a heart and he’s so loving in the fact that he’ll fight for the people he cares about. His development is tremendous, he’s come so far!

Wendy and Sherria’s battle was so good, especially with the discovery of sherria being a sky god slayer and using the same lost magic as Wendy, yet also still being further advanced than she is. But what I enjoyed the most was the new formed friendship between the two.
Also, Elfman and Ever? Totally shipping them hehe
This volume gets 5 stars purely because of Laxus. His arc and development shown in the volume was my favourite part!!

Oh no. Sabatooth is scary. Is it an authentic Seiken guild?? And why did Yukino have to take off her clothes in front of many people?😩👎🏻 The attitude of this guild( especially the master) is almost dark guilds. I hope this old man to be beaten by Natsu.

Luego de que Yukino le contara lo que le pasó, Natsu aparece en Sabertooth para exigir respuestas. El tercer día de los Grandes Juegos Mágicos está a punto de empezar.
ACLARACIÓN
Todos estos puntos están de alguna forma influenciados por conocimientos y opiniones que ya tenía sobre la historia gracias a la adaptación del anime y al ser esta una relectura.
ASPECTOS POSITIVOS
- Natsu tiene muchos momentos que amo. Lo que hizo al principio de este tomo es otro de mis favoritas.
- ERZA SCARLET. Qué mujer. A Erza le perdono todo por dos simples razones. En primer lugar, me encanta que vaya en encontra del estereotipo de chica fuerte. Es la tipa más fuerte del gremio y no por eso deja de ser empatica, femenina, sensible. Hay una fortaleza física y emocional en su personaje que me fascina. Mashima le permite ser la mejor y al mismo tiempo tener un plot de romance en la que su crecimiento no se centra ni depende del hombre. ¿Cuántos personajes femeninos en este tipo de historias pueden decir lo mismo?
En segundo lugar, porque es raro ver en shonen que el personaje que se lleve las escenas más badass sea una mujer.
En sí, el tomo es un arco muy centrado en las mujeres de FT y me encantó.
- Laxus. Otro personaje con un gran crecimiento. Tuvo un momento clave en este tomo y me encantó.
- Releyendo el arco, me impresiona la cantidad de cosas que estableció y manejó Mashima en este arco. Le podría haber salido mal, pero él ritmo fue pausado. Se tomó su tiempo para ir presentando cada trama, para dejar sueltas las pistas. El misterio aumenta y también lo hace la tensión.
ASPECTOS NEGATIVOS
- Hay algunas cosas que se resuelven de manera muy conveniente y las peleas por ahí son demasiado cortas. No hay tensión ni un ida y vuelta.
Además, aunque me encantó el espacio que tuvieron Erza y Wendy, no me gustó el trato que el autor tuvo con Lucy.
CONCLUSIÓN
Un gran tomo repleto de acción, grandes momentos de personajes y un poco de misterio. Este arco está siendo toda una montaña rusa y sólo es el principio.

This is the 34th volume of Fairy Tail where it talks about Day Three of the Grand Magic Games. But before that Occurred, Natsu and Happy are livid on how Yukino was banished, not to mention, humiliated from her own guild, Sabertooth over one small loss. So they take matters into their own hands and challenge their rival guild themselves. Natsu comes so close to defeating the guild master until a woman name Minerva stops him with threats of harm on Happy.
Day 3 has arrived with Pandemonium, a giant castle that is infested with terrifying monsters. The more monsters you defeat, the more challenging they get. But that is not a problem for Titania Erza Scarlet who single handedly takes down all 100 of them thanks to her requip magic and her determination on bringing Fairy Tail back to number one!
Next up is Laxus vs Raven Tail 's Alexei. I get to finally see who was under that mask, which reveals to be their own guild master, Ivan! He's also Laxus's father. Ivan's goal is to eliminate Fairy Tail and to find the location of their hidden power, Lumen Histoire.
There have been a couple battles after that, which I won't go into detail. The last battle is very personal between Fairy Tail and Sabertooth, just so you know. Overall, a very good volume on mostly tournament fights and I loved when Natsu and his friends started doing barrell rolling around the bar. It was funny when he ran into Gajeel and the poor iron Dragon got angry with him.

The plot thickens in what may be Fairy Tail’s strongest volume in terms of impact. Wendy’s first real battle where she shows her character. Erza’s outstanding event performance that was one of the few Fairy Tail moments I could distinctly remember even from the series’ original weekly release. Laxus’ confrontation with Raven Tail.
And then there’re smaller moments, like Natsu’s declaration to Saber Tooth, Jellal’s struggle to remain hidden and get to the bottom of the tournament’s mystery, the little glimpses we get of Mavis’ personality, and the multiple factions with different goals at play. Lots of really excellent stuff that was going to be, I think (I’d have to check) my first 5-star review of a FT volume yet.
And then the last contest happened. Like... can you not, Mashima? I get that you love to portray scantily-clad female figures, but good goddamn. Maybe the emotional impact of arguably your main character being brutalized would seem a little less disgusting and exploitative if you didn’t constantly frame shots of her with a focus on her ass and tits? I hate this so much.

The book opens with Natsu showing what it means to be a member of a guild to the Saber Tooth guild! Then the tournament battles continue, but Fairy Tail now has some momentum which it has greatly lacked up until recently. Like every volume of Fairy Tail, (which I can appreciate) they have some sort of revelation which reveals another layer to the story and pushing it forward. Even in the 34th volume this formula rings true and that is to be commendable. The battles in this volume while high risk are not life-threatening and it is presented that way. I loved the action in this but knowing the stakes were a little calmer than usual equaled some very enjoyable battles. I’ve been misspelling Erza’s name this whole time (I keep writing in my reviews Ezra) but her pages are truly a treat to the reader! Art and story are fun as always. In the end, another solid volume in the ever-growing legend that is Fairy Tail!

4/5 Volume 34 ditches some of the silliness that drug the last volume down. There's still a little bit here and there particularly Juvia during the final underwater battle of the volume.
We start out with Natsu picking a fight with the entire Sabretooth Guild which was interesting but not as monumental as one would hope. Then we have a huge ass kicking Erza chapter. The next big and semi anticlimactic event is Laxus V. a mysterious member of Raven Tail. There was a neat reveal in here but it all felt too rushed yet still had some huge implications for the games. We then get a battle with Wendy and Sherria Blendia which was fun.
All in all a good volume but I would like to see this particular arc move a long a little quicker at 9 volumes its a bit beefier then it needs to be.

The first half of this was so unbelievably good!!!!!!!! But they did my girl Lucy dirty in the end and I’m not ok with that. Erza is a queen and a beast and such an amazing character. The way she handled the palace of monsters is absolutely boss! And I loved the focus on women in this volume with how Cana and Wendy both played quality roles. But can we talk about Laxus? Wow. Fairy tail is just killing it in day 3 of the games! But day 4 is making me so mad. Lucy is so strong and they just played her so dirty in these games. If things don’t switch back to her being as amazing as I know she is, I’m going to be so upset!

This volume continues The Grand Magic Games arc. It is my favorite volume of the arc thus far. The chapters in here are action packed and full of all the emotions you would expect from Fairy Tail. With the action comes great character and plot development. Some of my favorite moments of the arc are found within this volume; definitely a must read for any Fairy Tail fan.

Nichts großartiges Neues. Es wiederholt sich wie immer das Schema. Freundschaft schlägt alles. Nun, Lucy muss einstecken, aber dafür wird sie sicher wieder erneut über sich hinaus wachsen. Superlative über Superlative. Zugegeben, das Erza alle 100 direkt wählt, war nicht nur vorhersehbar, sondern amüsant. Des weiteren viel Fanservice. Seichte Unterhaltung.
