Sole Regret....now if only these men truly existed & went on tour with The Sinners :)

I did it again, started a series that is not fully released and am playing a very impatient waiting game. I put this down roughly 25 minutes ago and am already craving more...

I liked Gabe instantly - and the fact that his hobby is making sex machines does not hurt one bit. But then I was introduced to Adam... and Adam warms your heart with his troubled past and his sweetness...but then you meet Jacob. Holy-hell I am not sure if it is the good guy that is struggling beneath the surface or his bedroom set up that has me weak in the knees for this one.

I am looking forward to the next anthology in this series to see where they all end up. Olivia does it again - she gets you completely addicted to these guys and each one of them offers some slice of their own perfect.

If you love Rock Stars and smutty books then this is your author. Olivia has a gift for this genre and never fails to deliver.

Three Novella’s.

Three band members of SOLE REGRET

Three different stories.

Three different nights.

Three different “One night stands” that change their lives.

TRY ME

This is Gabe aka Force and Melanie’s story.

Total strangers instantly attracted to each other. She doesn’t know who he is even though she is at the Sole Regret after party.
He likes that she doesn’t know who he is and wants him not the rockstar.

Badda bing badda boom they go back to his bedroom
And HOOOOOOOOO!!!! IS IT HAWT!

There is a reason Gabe is called Force… and it’s not for his drumming…

TEMPT ME

This story is Adam and Madison’s story.
Adam is an ex drug addict. He met Madison while recovering, she was his drug councilor.

She has been his favorite booty call for nearly a whole year now. Every time he is near her he can’t wait to get to her.

She drops everything to get with him every time, as she is love with him.

Sooooo as they all say she’ll just have this one more night with him and then walk away. Right?

TAKE ME

Jacob aka “Shade” is the lead singer of Sole Regret.
He has slept his way through life after his divorce.
He is a ROCKSTAR.

YES of COURSE he was the beautiful A7X singer M.Shadows in my mind!

Photobucket

He finally gets to go home to see his daughter. In typical form his crazy ex wife starts yelling at him about how stupid he is and they get into a huge fight.

His ex sister Amanda takes him home.

Of course Jacob has always wanted Amanda. Amanda has always wanted Jacob. Not Shade.

AND…

Yep badda bing badda boom they end up together.. on the couch, in the hot tub.. ON STAGE < - -will make sense when you read it!

MY HONEST OPINION

Olivia had me at the warning:
Try me
Contains explicit sex, graphic language, and a hot rock star with a naughty and inventive mind.
&
Erotic romance novella contains explicit sexual situations, including some back-door lovin’, hair pulling, spanking, and a whole lotta dirty talk.

WHERE CAN I GET ME ONE OF GABE’S INVENTIONS?!!

It’s only one night that they spent together, and it is only a Novella but you def get a BANG FOR YOUR BUCK! (< - - Pardon the pun LOL)

Olivia know’s how to write her rockstars….

She knows how to write her sex scenes…

WHOA does she know how to write hot sex scenes!

I really liked the idea of these Novella’s.
Enough to just get to know each character but not everything about them.
Enough to make us want more.

And enough conversation so it’s not just like reading porn.

3 Diff guys, 3 days in a row.. 3 diff stories…

The thing that pisses me off though?!

That we have to wait so goddamn long for the next one’s!

I WANT MORE NOW!!!

Seriously though, I do suggest if you haven’t read the Sinners on Tour yet, that you start with these. Get used to Olivia’s writing style, craziness, and all the sex before you jump in to the Sinners and have some CRAZY shit thrown at you!!

Great hot series

Containing stories of three rockstars, great characters lots of lol moments, lots of sexy times and and all round good read.

Listened on audio and found the narration to be good changing accents and allowing you to get a good feel of all the the characters involved.

Each book finishes abruptly leaving you wondering how the couple will go on and I assume this picks up again later in the series as it felt more of an introduction to how each couple got together like a novella.

Great for audio and a hot series to follow

A ROCKSTAR EXTRAVAGANZA

These three novellas were originally released singlely. But all three are available here in one book. They run seamlessly together it's like reading a complete novel.
Each story is about one of the band members of "Sole Regret" I don't want to spoil it for everybody, but what I will say is, that Olivia Cunning is the queen of Rockstar romances IMO. Each member of the band has their problems and hang ups. They are all red hot, with scorching love scenes, and beautifully written. If you have read the authors books about "The Sinners". Then you will love this.

Try Me

This is an erotic romance and a novella at that, so I didn't really expect much character development, just sex. I've read the Sinners on Tour series before starting this one, so going into this, I knew the writing style of the author. I expect more 'relationship development' type plots later on in these books, but not for this first one. This was just short and sexy.

Melanie is an uptight account, following her best friend to a concert in hopes that they'll get backstage. Melanie is adamantly against tattoos, piercings and rockers (which we'll discover why towards the end, makes sense). She's chatting up Gabe on a sofa in the green room when she discovers he's actually the drummer for the band - whoops, so much for her not wanting anything to do with a rocker.

But then we discover that Gabe is secretly a sweet geek with one creative and sexy brain. Turns out Melanie isn't as innocent as we're led to believe either. These two hit the sheets and the chemistry and steam factor is hot. I look forward to reading more about their adventure into a long-distance relationship.

Tempt Me

I just wasn't feeling this one. Yes, the sex was hot, but that was about it. The characters seemed shallow and I could never really connect with them. I don't understand how they came to love one another when they barely saw one another. Sure, there was an emotional connection there, but it's not like they spoke on the phone all the time in between stops in Dallas, they simply just hooked up when the band was in the area.

Madison was certainly a surprise. She was not at all the innocent she appeared at face value and had a dirty girl locked in there. Adam was okay for me - I didn't love him like Gabe. Adam had some issues, which I could overlook, but he still kept a lot hidden and was obviously still struggling with his drug addiction issues.

Oh and Shade really annoyed me in this book, so I look forward to finding out what his problem is. So far, this series is just meh for me compared to Sinners on Tour.

Take Me

This one surprised me so much. I honestly hated Shade in the last book, but in this one, we really get the truth behind his persona and see the real Jacob. I'm now officially a Shade fan. My only complaint is that I'm listening to the audio version and it's the three books in one, but just the first night for each guy. I wish these were full length instead so that it would be easier to connect with the characters.

So Shade is a bit of a mystery in the previous books. He's always wearing sunglasses, which is how he got the nickname "Shade" to begin with. But he only does that because he has such expressive eyes and he wants to hide the pain that he really feels inside. He really does lack some self confidence believe it or not, but when you've been belittled, what do you expect? He's been through a lot, but some of it was his fault. His ex wife is a total witch and the fact that she keeps her daughter from him really made me hate her. Yes, he has a daughter who is daddy's little princess, who knew?

Shade gets a call from his ex-wife's sister, Amanda, inviting him to his daughter's birthday party, since his ex obviously didn't. He shows up, things go south and he ends up getting Amanda to drive him home. What he doesn't know at the time is that Amanda has been crushing on him for a long time, so of course things heat up when they get to his house.

Amanda is an awesome heroine. Not only is she sweet, smart and witty, she actually gets Jacob and doesn't judge him like everyone else seems to do. I loved that she didn't call him stupid and instead lifted him up.

When these two get together, things are explosively hot. That bedroom scene, whew! That was intense.

I honestly think I'm looking forward to reading about his HEA more than anyone else's at this point now, go figure.

Some of the sexual dialogue was over the top in the word choice. I found myself loving Gabe's story with Melony the best until I read Shade/Jacob's story with Amanda. Gotta say, no interest in reading volume 2 but did buy the Part 2 of Gabe's story. Might do the same with Jacob but his part one ended well and it didn't leave me wanting more in terms of a resolution.

Bottom line...
Did it make me hot in my pants? Yes
Was some dialogue cheesy? Yup
Was it a good read/listen: Sure
Have I had better: oh hell yes.

I give it 3.25 stars. :)

P.s. I didn't mention Adam's story b/c it left something to be desired. I hated the foundation if it all - him banging his drug counselor. It crosses all manner of ethical lines. She keeps counseling him even after they became lovers. Ah, no. Check please! lol

I absolutely love Olivia Cunning and the world that she creates. In the first volume of this series we meet Gabe, Adam and Shade. In this anthology of short stories we follow the guys and their girls. One couple has just met, one have know each other for a year & the other are forbidden fruit. Each member has his own lovable qualities....yes, even Shade. So glad each member is getting multiple additional books because after these teasers I want MORE!

What a smoking hot book! I'm not sure who I like the best. Gabe with his kinky inventions? Shade with his stage room? Adam with his tender heart? I think for now I pick Gabe. But man Kelly is on my radar.

Book #1 - Try Me
In general I am not really into the Rockstar Romances. A friend happened to have the first three books of the is series on audiobook, so I thought why not give it a go.

The story was surprisingly fun and engaging. I like Melanie, she is a down to earth girl and really snarky! I loved her dynamic with Gage. They were super fun together and the banter was terrific.

This is a really short read but it sets things up very nicely. I am intrigued by the other bad members and what will happen to each of them. I am also really interested in the way each couples story is told in three separate parts and the other guys books interconnect. Really clever for drawing in series readers who must know what happens next, like myself!

The sexy scenes are very delicious! Oh boy, they will get you panting for relief! The second smexy section when they play with the toys is my favorite!! Man does that boy know his stuff!

The narrator, Justine O. Keef, makes your ears happy!! She puts just the right amount of energy into the read. During the smexy scenes you can really hear the passion!! Terrific switches between character voices, both men and women sound authentic!

Book #2 - Tempt Me
Books like this one are the reason I am not into Rockstar Romances. I prefer a whole fantasy HEA where the couple meets and never touches anybody else. That is not generally the case in these rocker books, but that is the lifestyle they lead.

This is the second book in the series and it is a really interesting read. The characters are engaging and dynamic. The story is well written and interesting, many different levels. It is just the general Rocker lifestyle I am not into. If you are fine with less than faithful actions then you will feel differently than I do, granted he did explain he did not feel they were in a relationship.

I also had an issue with the fact that Madison was Adam's drug treatment counselor and that is how they first met and hooked up. Personally I thought that was a real ethical no-no. Again that is my own opinion, you might not take offense to that situation.

The steam factor here is off the charts! Loads of hot and smexy action. I mean they had tons of sex and there was plenty of variety. Good lord they must be chaffed! This is the majority of the book and when I say it is hot, I mean you are going to have to read this one while in the cold shower!! Wowza!

The narrator, Justine O. Keef, does a great job of bringing the story to life. She has a soothing tone that draws you in. I can only hope the other books in the series end up on audio as well!! It is a really great guilty pleasure escape to listen to while doing boring tasks!

The ending will leave you hanging, but that is what Ms Cunning planned, each couple's story is broken up into three parts. The whole series looks to be 15 books long, each band member has three books and the stories interlock. The first five are the first part, books 6-10 the second parts and finally finishing up everything in books 11-15. It is a clever way to draw in an audience, even with my general dislike of the genre I will probably get hooked. I always need to know the end of the story, no matter what!

Book #3 - Take Me
Yeah, I think this series probably isn't for me, goodness knows I tried. After listening to the first three books on audio, I am ready to toss in the proverbial towel, for now. If the rest of the series releases on audio I might squeeze in listening time.

The writing is excellent and the stories move at a great pace, the Rocker books just don't work for me. I think it is the whole lifestyle, it wrecks my HEA visions. I can see why many folks will love this series, just not me.

Shades has been a jerk throughout this series and it was no surprise to discover that is just who he is most of the time. Even when you have his POV, he is less than loveable, but there are girls out there who are into this kind of guy. Amanda seems really sweet and put together, one has to wonder what she sees in Shades. She is definitely thinking with her girlie parts.

The story here is minimal, what is there is interesting and moves the whole series along. I especially liked the interactions with other band members.

Holy hot and heavy!!! I am talking steam up your ereader!!! Wow, once they decide to get it on, they get it on, big-time! Like the other books in the series most of the plot revolves around copious amounts of steamy smexy sex! This is another one you will have to change the panties after reading. Although, there is one scene where Shades shows he is even an egomaniac in bed.

The narrator, Justine O. Keef, does a great job I really liked her voice and characterizations. She is definitely a selling point in the audio version. If the other books get released on audio I could see myself picking them up, I am a curious creature and this series does a terrific job of drawing you in, even when you are fighting the whole way!

If you’re looking for a quick hot and steamy book to read, then look no further! Try Me, Tempt Me, Tease Me consists of three novellas, Try Me, Tempt Me, and Tease Me. Each story is about a different band member of Sole Regret.

Here’s my review for each:

Try Me 5/5
Maybe it’s because the girl’s name is Mel (short for Melanie) but I really liked her and her relationship with Gabe, the sexy drummer (despite the insta-love). I felt like I could really relate to her (again, it might be because of the name) because she’s not into mainstream rock/pop/metallic/etc (or whatever the hell music Sole Regret produces). Mel was pretty much forced by her wild friend to go backstage to meet the band members (which is totally something that would happen with me and my wild bff). Like Mel, I liked that Gabe is secretly a geek. A hot, sexy, geeky drummer with a mohawk (I used to have a thing for guys with mohawks. So bonus points there)? What’s not to love?! I want more Mel and Gabe please.

Tempt Me 2/5
Tempt Me takes place exactly where Try Me left off, but revolves around a different band member - Adam the lead guitarist and Madison, a drug abuse counselor who helped Adam with his addiction. I didn’t like this one as much. Madison seemed too needy for liking.

Take Me 3.5/5
Take Me takes place exactly where Tempt Me left off, but this time, the story follows Shade (aka Jacob) - the lead singer.

I didn’t think I would like Shade. He seemed like a total douche in Try Me, especially since he never seems to take his sunglasses off (douchey much?). In Tempt Me, he seemed like a total ass for always picking and hating on Adam. In Take Me though, we learn the real reason for the tension between Jacob and Adam. We also find out that Shade can actually be a really sweet guy, especially where his four year-old daughter is concerned.

I also really like Shade’s complicated relationship with Amanda. I love how much fun they have together and the funny and sweet banter that they have. The whole ‘forbidden love’ thing that’s going on between them is also very hot (Amanda is Shade’s ex-wife’s sister. Or ex-sister-in-law. So yea, they have a complicated relationship).

Overall Rating: 3.5

Overall 3.5 stars

When you read stories by Olivia Cunning, you should expect dirty and kinky. And this book did not disappoint. Try me is a story about Gabe "Force" the drummer of One Night with Sole Regret, and Melanie an accouter.

Unlike her best friend, Melanie was not into Rocker stars, tattoo and piercing that sort of things. When her best friend Nikki dragged her into an after party of One Night with Sole Regret, she met and started chatting with the only semi normal looking guy at the party or so she thought. Gab was amused by Melanie, whom didn't reorganized who Gab was, but that doesn't bother him a bit, if fact he liked it a lot. Melanie might just be the girl that he can reveal his true "force" to.

The chemistry between Gab and Melanie were off the chart, not to mention the kinky sexy-time they shared were seriously on fire. Because the book was fairly short, there aren't much of characters building. But, I believe there will be another novel of Gab and Melanie in the near future! So be sure to keep a look out on it! I know I would be!

Tempt Me

3 stars

Adam is the guitarist of rock band One Night with Sole Regret, and Madison was his drug-counselor. They met about one year ago, when Adam was struggling through the lowest point in his life. Struggled with drug addictions, he met Madison and started this not so secret affair.

We were introduced with two very conflicted characters in this book. Adam obvious have fallen for Madison that even his band members knows. However, when Adam met up with Madison during Dallas tour he acted like Madison was just a regular hooked-up. Madison was in love with Adam, however she was so afraid about what will happened when the publish find out about their affair.

Again, this was a short story, so not much of characters building. Plenty of kinky sexy-time, but also lots of emotional moments between Adam and Madison. I like Adam's hidden artistic talent, and finding out he was the one designed those tattoos for his band members. Madison was definitely not so innocent. I am glad they were able to confessed their true feelings for each other, and I can't wait to see how their story develop in their next book.

Take Me

4 stars

To Jacob, Amanda is like a forbidden fruit, to be intimate with his ex-wife's older sister is not an ideal situation. However, when Amanda kindly offer Jacob a ride for home, he cannot resisted to invite her to his house for a movie night or more. Amanda have always wanted Jacob, and finally an opportunity came by for her to be alone with him. There is no way she could passed up the chance!

I quite enjoyed this book, it was actually kind of entertaining to read through
Jacob's inner dilemma about Amanda (ex-wife's older sister). Oh boy, what a pickle.

One of my favorite rockstar novels. (oh and this is the very first time to write a very, very long review)

The stores revolves around the members of Sole Regret. Having a breathtaking, orgasmic One Night stand that changes their lives, forever.

Book 1: Try Me: Story about the Sole Regret's Drummer Gabe 'Force' Banner.

Review for the first book: I can say that this is my 2nd favorite book. I like Gabe, since he doesn't even exposes his rockstar style in public, he loves being simple and heart of a rebel rockstar inside. And he met Melanie, an accountant, she accompanied her groupie best friend who threw herself at Shade, the vocalist. Melanie is not-so conservative, she doesn't like men who has tattoos and piercings. When she met Gabe, everything's has changed her point of view. She liked Gabe's wittiness and sense of humor. Since Gabe is a Physics geek. I love how smart he is and 'creative'.

Image and video hosting by TinyPic

Book 2: Tempt Me: Story about the Sole Regret's Guitarist Adam Taylor.

Review for the second book: This is my not-so favorite book, I don't know why, since Adam is a former drug addict. And at first I do find him enigmatic. Of course. And that what makes me curious is that Shade is really mad at him for the past 4 years. Not to mention that he has a feelings to his Drug Councillor, Madison. And Madison too, she's been in love with him since he was in the rehab.

Book 3: Take Me: Story about the Sole Regret's Vocalist Jacob 'Shade' Silverton.

Review for the third book: My favorite book among these 3. At first, I didn't like Jacob at first, I found him the typical playboy vocalist and I find him annoying, of course that's what we knew first at Adam's story. Seriously, just by reading this book, all my feelings are changed on him, I regret that. How about being a responsible, caring, loving father to her only daughter. And how his ex-wife neglects his responsibility as a father. His ex-wife sister Amanda, is attracted to him ever since she laid her eyes on him. Jacob is such a sweetheart as hell. I really fell for him.

(JACOB!!! PLEASE BE THE FATHER OF MY BABIES!!!!)

I can't wait for the next stories to come from this series.

Updating as I finish each...

Try Me...Gotta love Gabe, the brainiac of the group, his talent is his inventions...of the sexual kind. I laughed out loud during one story when he was interrogating a woman about how to build a better sex toy. Must love his enthusiasm.

Tempt Me...my least favorite of the characters, Adam, who has made a few mistakes in his past. They've affected his friendship with Shade, with the band, and he IS trying to get better. Enter the substance abuse counselor with the heart of gold. Of the five stories, I probably like this female the best. Its more realistic than the others who meet their women and fall in love overnight. Adam's relationship has actually been going on for over a year and they're taking it to the next level.

Take Me...Jacob (aka Shade) is the lead singer and has performance issues lol. He was burned by a bad relationship with his ex-wife and won't let women get close hence the sunglasses he's always hiding behind until he meets the woman who insists he take them off. Since Shade can come off as a bit of douche, it was nice to see him humanized. His romance is also a bit more realistic. He's known her for years but she's forbidden fruit. His story definitely could use some more closure because there is most certainly trouble ahead. Kink of choice: a bit of voyeurism and a really crazy ass bed lol. I was kind of waiting for the canons of glitter confetti to go off during her multiple orgasms :)

Conclusion: The hardest thing with novellas is they happen so quickly. The guys, because they are in each others stories, we learn pretty well. Each has his own kind of kink, so there is plenty of hot sex scenes to go around! The funniest part of the two books is that all of this happens in a space of a week (outside of the prequel) so these guys meet the loves of their lives and fall in love within days, sometimes hours, of each other lol. It would have been much more realistic if there had been "space" between the stories. That way we could check in to see how these relationships are going and be assured that there IS a happy ending for each. Stories such as Shade's had a bit of a cliffhanger and the series could definitely benefit from a follow-up.

Introduction Story of Gabe and Melanie. Good storyline and introduction of the future band members and some of their issues to be dealt with in other books. Story was well written and I enjoyed both characters. Gabe, the geek with the toys and Melanie, the good girl. I was not into each of their heads too much with the back and forth about starting a relationship. It was refreshing to read. Also, very interesting concept of keeping this going...each novella covers 1 day. This is something that I really enjoy. When I like books and characters, I like them to never end. This concept exceeds my expectations!

Tempt Me
Rating: 2 Stars

Introduction Story of Adam and Madison. Ugh, I so wanted to like this story. But this was NOT a story. This was soft porn, without a storyline. Just sex, sex, sex. I finished this book without truly bonding with either of these characters. My take-away to the next book is that Adam has some family issues that he still needs to deal with and he's inconsiderate. Madison likes it rough instead of gentle. That's it. I felt I did not have a chance to bond or understand Madison or Adam during this story, probably for cramming so much sex in such a short story.

Take Me
Rating: 5 Stars

Introduction Story of Jacob (aka Shade) and Amanda. I really anticipated learning more about the deal with Shade. I was wondering what made him tick and who the heck was Tina. This was a very hot story and it totally changed my view of bad-ass Shade, who I had an issue with in Try Me, but I got him in this book. I also got Amanda. Although, I'm not too sure how I feel about the sister thing, but as the saying goes, you can't help who you fall in love with. Also, nice to check in with the other band members and continue to watch them work through their issues. I really liked the interaction with Adam in this book. The entire book 1 to 2 day concept really works for me in this series!!!

I HIGHLY RECOMMEND this series if you like good strong characters and rockers! Very nice read after Sinners series.

This is three stories in one book. Each one tells a story of a different member of Sole Regret. Each story is a short story and totally hot!

Try Me 5 Stars

This was a great short story about a girl who ended up falling for the the type of guy she swore she'd never go for! He's tattooed, pierced, hot, and a rock and roll drummer.

Melanie is everything Force never realized he wanted. Force was everything she swore she'd stay away from and everything she dreamed of!

It was great and it was hot! I only wish it had been longer!

On to the next installment!

Tempt Me 4 stars

another great story about the band Sole Regret. These are great short stories and that make you want a rock star! They're tattooed, pierced, hot and sexy as hell!

They're all short stories, but Olivia Cunning manages to pack a lot into each story. you really get a feel for each of the band members. She gives them some pretty amazing depth!

Take Me 3 stars

Out of all the Sole Regret stories this is my least favorite. I'm not sure about the whole hooking up with my ex-wife's sister. Shade seems to be one the more misunderstood of the band members. I also wasn't into the whole "performing" in bed thing. That was a little creepy for me!

I'm really wanting Cuff's story. I'm hoping that comes soon!

HOLY SHIT, what IS it about rock stars that just makes them so freaking HOT! I started reading about Sole Regret when I read A Very Naughty Xmas and got to read about Owen and Kellen. In THIS book, you get to read about Gabe, Adam, and Shade. Wow. There is SOOOOO much to this group! I love it! I want more about Sole Regret! I was a little worried that this book would annoy me since it is three short stories compiled into an anthology, but that is not the case at all...this is actually just one BIG story broken up into three parts to deal with the three guys, but it actually takes place over about a four-day period...Gabe and Melanie in Tulsa, Adam and Madison in Dallas, and Shade and Amanda in Austin. And it was funny too...guys that spend so much time together really are always constantly ragging on each other about everything and this one is no different. The sex...very, very hot. And a lot of it. In all different kinds of ways. *giggle* Very hot, very naughty, very dirty, and very emotional! I loved this book. I can't wait for more Sole Regret stories to come out!

I am torn about this review given how much I enjoy Olivia's writing. To be fair, I think reading the Sole Regret series after the Sinners on Tour series is about managed expectations. I love the Sinners series. Each member of the band covered has depth, a great back story and realistic HEA's. The Sole Regret series, which is modeled in a similar fashion, is a series of short stories that fall within a close time frame with each member of the band and their exploits in one night. The short stories cannot facilitate the depth that the Sinners stories have, and therefore I find the series somewhat lacking even though I like all the featured band members. My impression of each is that they are much better people in their individual stories than they portray in their non-featured stories, and as a result they don't come off as authentic. Also, because the story has to be abbreviated into one night, the erotica element (while crazy hot) completely overwhelms the back story. I will finish the series because I do want to know where these story lines net out and I do care about the characters, but can't say I love this series as much as I want to.

Try Me
Gabe/Force (drummer) and Melanie
Gabe is into toys, more specifically, he's into sex toys he invents. Gabe is fun and adventurous; Melanie is sweet and willing.

Tempt Me
Adam (lead guitar) and Madison
Madison's insecurity has gotten annoying. She's a drug counselor so she's had training and she would understand that Adam isn't mad at her; he just had a physical fight with a band mate . . . he's just MAD. I struggled with this one a little. I didn't really care for Madison, and I had trouble connecting with the characters. I felt Madison was too meek and insecure for someone in her profession, there was too much angst. I did understand where Adam's came from with his drug addictions and insecurities.

Take Me
Shade/Jacob (lead singer) and Amanda
Take Me is right! Wow . . . these two really rocked it. I really enjoyed both characters, they're relationship was so believable, the way they connected as friends and how they interacted with one another. And HOT!

Normally, I love the bad boy rockstars, but there was one in this series that isn't doing it for me.
Gabe, woooooo!! i had to fan myself reading his description! I love me some mohawks and tattoos. Melanie was kind of hilarious.
Adam is one thay really sparked my interest. I think out of the three of them in this anthology, he was probably the best. I like his deep dark past he's got and his interaction with Madison was awesome!
Jacob/Shade... ehhh... what a weiner (lol) he seemed too soft to be a big bad rockstar. I actually ended up thumbing through a lot of the end.

The writing style that Olivia Cunning did here was pure genius from the author stand point and makes the reader coming back for more because she cuts you off right at the good parts! That was the most irritating for me, but I applaud her for trying to explore diferent writing processes.

Crazy-Erotic-Intense novellas. Whoa!! Gabe (Try Me) was instantly my fav n was so hot with his innocent charm n tattoos. Then Adam (Temp Me)..not so sure. His relationship was a little too crazy for me or maybe it was Madison. And then there's Shade (Take Me)....WOW!! After coming across like a douchbag he turned out to be my favorite one!! Very hot and actually sweet under those shades. I loved his ending most and am anxious to read more about Gabe and Jacob. Yummy!!! Olivia gave amazing explicit details on each character in every way so you actually get the whole effect. I'd totally recommend.

Oh wow, I love the concept, I love the characters and I love the story, plus these are really hot reads!
We get to know the first three of five band mates of sole regret - one decides to try and relationship after one perfect night together, the other decides to make a committed relationship after a year of hook-ups and the third may take a chance on someone who knows the real him and makes him happy - Gabe, Adam and Jacob will impress you, Owen and Kellen will make you laugh, and Melanie, Madison and Amanda will give you the ah factor that is the key to these men!

Read these as audiobooks, which was, I think, a mistake. Rather than switching readers between sections in order for the male-narrated sections to have a male reader, the female reader read the whole darn thing. It was hopelessly distracting to hear her try to sound/think like the sexy Texan rock star men. It just didn't work. And at least one of the female characters had such a cloying drawl that I had to put the books away for a while. As for the writing, well, these were just nowhere near as good as the Sinners series.

Too short.. No story
There were three short pieces that did NOT showcase anything but lust and physical contact. OC is a very talented writer. I do not understand the direction she is taking since the amazing sinners on tour books ended. She published the Sinners at the altar which was truly a disappointment and then this new series. It did not work for me at all to have 3 separate stories because there was no time to get to know the characters at all before lunging into steamy sex scenes.

-Kicking myself for putting off reading this series-

I read the Sinners series a long while ago, loved it, and it started my obsession with rockstar romances. When I read that the Sole Regret series was "one nighters," I put it at the bottom of my tbr list because I didn't know if I'd enjoy that scenario as much. I totally misinterpreted what was meant by "one night". This series is exactly why I love Olivia Cunning. It has everything: banter, music, band dynamics/relationships, romance, HOTNESS, and a damn good story. I'm just mad I didn't start this series before now.
