Hitchcock Brown is a private investigator. In Two Thursdays, the Chief of police asks him for his help routing out a major drug problem in Cincinnati. Its a problem which may involve members of his own department. They both learn it involves a lot more than that.
C. Martin Stepp is a new author and is currently working on a series of humorous detective novels. The books feature private investigator Hitchcock Brown. “Walking Backwards” and “Two Thursdays” are currently published. A third novel “Deadbolt” is in the works and should be published soon. http://cmartinstepp.wix.com/author
Two Thursdays is a wonderful novel written with an original flair which I believe is unique to the author, C. Martin Stepp.
After reading one of his books, the reader will delighted to read the sequels. The character, Hitchcock Brown and his cop buddy Grildpork are just everyday men who are committed to keeping their town safe. One could say they are "unsung heroes" as they quietly risk their own lives making sure dangerous drug dealers are apprehended and taken off the streets of Cincinnati. These guys expect nothing in return. They are simply satisfied to get the job done, celebrate with a few beers and move on to the next case.
Two Thursdays is the second book in the “Another Hitchcock Brown Adventure” series.
Hitchcock Brown is a private investigator and as former prosecuting attorney he has many connections in the Cincinnati Police Department so when his friend the chief of police a.k.a Grildpork calls him for his help the Hitch will certainly oblige.
The investigation involves the connection of a detective and the local drug lord and Hitch has to search deep within the illicit of his town to find the truth. As the story evolves we discover Hitch’s talents in disguise, finding allies and getting out of seriously life-threatening situations.
If you like mysteries with dry humor and a touch of old-fashioned film noir then this is the book for you.
I received this book for a fair and honest review. This is book 2 in a series. I have not read book 1.
This book is written from Hitchcock Brown's prespective. He is a private investigator. The tone of this book to me is one of an old time tv show. The author goes into a lot of detail to describe the scene that is currently being played out.
The author has a different style of sense of humor than I do. C. Martin Stepp has a dry sense of humor. If you are not familiar with this sense of humor it can be difficult to grasp his full meaning.
This book is a quick read since there are only around 146 pages.
