Shaunie Boyd has been estranged from her three sisters and disowned by her father for nearly ten years. Pain and heartache forced her to run away from everything she knew to be real. But when the call came that her beloved mother, Emma, was dying she knew she had to return to the small, rural Mississippi town that had been her world so long ago. When she arrives she finds her mother has already passed away and the family she fled so many years ago is in worse shape than ever. Her sisters are each fighting their own demons, her father still won’t talk to her, and it seems everyone is on the verge of a breakdown. The mother they all loved and cherished is gone and the close family she built lay in ruins at her casket. To top it all off, Shaunie discovers the only man she’s ever loved is back in town too with a devastating secret that will change her life forever. Can she weather the storm, keep her sisters close and hold it all together as Worlds Collide?

Loved it!! And met the author at my bookclub. I have also directed one of her plays. Great read about family trials, celebrations, and forgiveness!

One of the best books I have read in a long time!!!

I chose this rating because the book was well thought out and the characters were engaging. I had to pace myself and not speed read the whole thing in one sitting. I was cheering as the sisters made strides in repairing their relationships, crying when they cried, happy with them as well. Janice, I look forward to all your future novels.
