This is the story of a man in his later years who finds himself a very long way from home and hearth when the SHTF. It’s a tale of the drive to get home come hell or high water.
I’m writing it about the way I myself would get home after an event. I can only hope I would do as well in real life.
I have the will , drive and know how but maybe the ol body is low on fuel. Time will tell.
For over 10 years and almost100 books, TJ Reeder has brought us a wonderful world with larger than life heroes, heroines, and animal companions. He has taken a horrible scenario and made the apocalypse VERY interesting if not sometimes fun. In this world, I have noted there has been a total collapse of society, the obliteration of government down to the county or town level, electricity a novelty, $100.00 bills don't make good toilet paper and (drum roll) only 1 lawyer out of a hundred practices law part time when he is not growing his own food. My overall reaction to this scenario is NO GREAT LOSS! I have read this series 2times and honestly have recently found myself a little down. Winter is coming, being on the north side of 70, election day coming (Let the clown show begin) and 22 boxes of Christmas decorations are awaiting my attention. Reading some of Mr. Reeder's work is a literary version a shot of good booze at the end of the day. So here I an rereading his work. Bill Hodges P.S. All I want for Christmas is a new TJ Reeder book
I can never understand how all some people get out of a story is bad grammar. I read the story and am so caught up in it that I hardly notice the mistakes. Guess I'm not the grammar police. I have read about 6 of your book besides starting this series. Can't put any of them down until Last page is read. Thank you for being an excellent writer.
I chose five stars for a really good story. I read this series up to #10, bought all of the rest of TJR's books and decided to read them from the beginning again. Mr. Reeder may not be th best speller and grammarian, but I can ignore the mistakes, because the story is good, the humor is a lot of fun and it all just gets better with each book. Really love this series!
