Hannah is the Blood Alpha's daughter reared to be the next Alpha, but her inner wolf hasn't taken her yet. Bo is nothing but a black wolf looking just to keep his cool while serving his pack. Between Hannah's father, the pack, Bo, and a hopeful white looking to be the next Alpha Hannah learns her place.
Kentucky Moon Volume 2: Rising Among Pack is a raw, edgy, mysterious, unique, and suspenseful story of a young woman trying to figure out her place in the world. Hannah is due to be the next Alpha in her pack, born into a family of leadership. She wants nothing more than to serve her pack, be one of them, and most of all, be accepted. There is just one problem. She has yet to turn.
Hannah’s without her mother and has a father who wants nothing to do with her. She’s been arranged to be with the gorgeous Cable, but her heart is set on one man, Bo, who is a black wolf and frowned upon by her pack.
The story is delivered from alternating point of views. Almost every character introduced as either a chapter or a section told in their point of the view-making this one of the most unique stories I have read. The chapter(s) or section is easily identified with the character’s name, which makes it easy to diverse whose point of view the reader is getting.
For those who fell in love with Creed and Lily in the first Kentucky Moon installment, need to be warned that these two characters are in Volume 2 very minimally. I was not sure how these two would come into play in this book, but it was done very well. Rising Among Pack is very much its own story, almost reading as a standalone, rather than a sequel.
Volume 2 is rated more mature, so be warned. Cris did another fantastic job keeping me wildly entertained and hanging onto every word. I felt Hannah’s sadness, joy, and love. I thoroughly enjoyed this one and look forward to continuing this series.
