The book still needs a bit of editing, but the story is great. The vampires are definitely not of the romantic variety. I was so excited to finally find a vampire hunter, vampire clan book based on fighting, not loving!
_Vampires Wear Shades_ tells the story of Autumn Lane, a widow whose husband was murdered under mysterious circumstances. Driven by revenge, Autumn immerses herself in her new job on an elite military team, which ends up leaving her with more questions than answers to her husband's unexpected death.
This action-filled story with a paranormal twist will leave readers anxious for the next book in The Thornvine Chronicles.
Book that starts with an action and won't end before the last page... oh wait, not even then because of the cliffhanger 😲🤪
I truly did enjoy Autumns' "adventures" and had to keep reading to find out what's next. The author had these little clues hidden within the story that played a big role but didn't explain right away what's going on. Therefore, I definitely need to read the second book.
Kuddos to authors sense of humor - I smirked out loud a few times 😆
Overall, I gave it 4 out of 5 stars: it started little way too much action packed where I didn't understand what's going on until a couple of chapters in. Also, I don't understand how Autumn didn't?!?! 🤔 (That's all I can say without spoiling anything)
I would like to say thank you to authors brother, who is my coworker, and gave me the book for free for my honest review.
Well written twisty plot. Not my usual read, but really enjoyed the characters, great plot and well executed story. I'm really looking forward to the next book in this series. Honest review, you asked for one.
