There are times, when you least expect it, where fate hands you the one person you cannot live without.

Sedona Mackenzie had her life perfectly planned; down to the coffee that she drank, the curfew that she lived by, and formulas that she solved to release stress. She had everything figured out, in a neat, little timeline. Then, fate chose to intervene in the form of a chance meeting with a guy who stirs unknown emotions inside her, leaving her reeling and wanting for more.

Zander Zebowski is not your typical college jock. For one, he's a good guy. Second, he's pretty smart. And, he's level-headed. The farthest thing on his mind was smacking into a woman who may just be his undoing.

This is not your typical bad boy meets good girl love story. This is a story between two people who are great on their own. But, with each other, they are absolutely perfect.

"I write because I love it and for no other reason. The minute I stop enjoying it will be the exact moment I will stop writing."

Anne Leigh is a 30-something-year-old who refuses to let the calendar dictate her age. She holds a Bachelor's degree in Biology and a Master's degree in Nursing. She likes to write about strong women and equally strong guys who grapple with their emotions when faced with something as intangible as love.

She lives in Los Angeles with her husband. With her crazy schedule, she gets frustrated at L.A. traffic and needs an escape to keep her sanity, which her characters provide.

She did not think of publishing her stories and when she finally did, she's truly appreciative of every, single person who found the time to let her characters become parts of their world.

She appreciates all the readers who leave kind comments/reviews on where they purchased the book because without them, all her stories would remain locked up in her computer.

Easy peasy, lemon squeezy!

Written to 'all things are sunshine and lollipops' perfection. Nothing too taxing for the brain, a fluffy good times read.

Male POV was most definitely not male, if you closed your eyes and dreamed of a male thinking romantically like a female then that's about this characters lot. However I did enjoy the POV duo, always a bonus for my reading experience.

Female lead is a quirky, gorgeous nerd with violet eyes (I'm never to sure of this description)! She has OCD, great legs and is the perfect book companion to the bad boy football womaniser turned good with just one chance meeting ... *Insert big girly sigh here*. The last 10% of the book was sugary sweet and actually had a little taste of deep and meaningful. It gave me the love can conquer all feelings that every true romance should have.

There is no huge surprises or shock revelations in this book, but it does have its share of small time drama and the epilogue is very cleverly played by the author. This story has a constant steady pace, if you are looking for something new you won't find it here, but if you want easy romance then give it a go.

3.5 stars!

This got me :
This is not your typical bad boy meets good girl love story. This is a story between two people who are great on their own. But, with each other, they are absolutely perfect

Loved this story !! I seriously crushed on both characters !! This story had me very content - steamy, funny, angst, alpha with the perfect smidge of beta, and intellectually stimulating ( my inner nerd was in HEAT. Full on medical terminology HEAT )

This read reminded me of RULE❤. Very rare when you crush on hero and his lady! Read this ! You won't be sorry !

description

Caution this review does contain some minor spoilers!

This was interesting - though maybe not in the way the author intended.
I learned a lot about what kind of romance novels I don't like reading this.
Honestly hearing how hot Zander is was beyond boring. Half way through the book I felt like ok- he is hot, I got you don't have to mention it another ten gazillion times.
Same thing with Sedona- they hot- we got the message. And uber-hot super couple ... can we move on.
And the sex bleh! It just was not good. I dont even know where to start. The first time was not impressive. Also it was always so quick - mean the author put even emphasis on it!
I like smut - every now and then - but here they just went through the motions, quickly. NO sensuality EVER. And for some reason I got left with the feeling that the author is obsessed with juices...
The worst scene of all:

"Before I could say anything else, his hands were all over me.
He was kissing my hair, my face, and my lips. He was touching me everywhere.
I responded willingly. I missed him so much. Next thing I knew, I was being carried to the bed without any clothes on.
He must have gotten rid of his clothes too because he was naked.
When he entered me, I was slick with my own juices. My body missed him. My mind longed for him. And my heart ached for him.
We didn't last long. In less than 5 minutes, we were both panting, out of breath, and his fluids were mixed with mine."

I read it thrice actually- kept on thinking i missed something- its a make up scene. And I kept thinking REALLY? juices 5min panting? that's it?
This scene epitomizes exactly what the book lacked when it came to the smut.

When it came to the general story line it was your rather usual romance formula- again this book made clear to me what kind of romance novels i actually like or don't like- will elaborate at the end ;)

What I did like was their relationship with their friends. Especially Sadona and Kierans relationship.
The whole college environment, their families and their relationship with them.
In that way Z and S were really wonderful character. Strong, loyal and caring.
The POV's very actually quite well written, distinctive styles for each character and if the overlapped really fun to reread a situation

The epilogue actually was a totally game changer. And i totally hate it. It ruined something I really liked about the book. And it pissed me off!

All in all the book was ok but not really my cup of tea

so last but not least:
reading this I found that I while I dont enjoy 50pgs long sex scenes, if I read smut I want to read about good sex. Besides for some reason I kinda get bored easily of it, I think I prefer smut novellas actually.
When it comes to romance, i prefer it when there is either lots of action happening or if there are feisty characters especially with good banter.
Which I am afraid to say means, I am not big on smut or romance books.

Looks can be deceiving. So it would appear to Sedona when she meets the schools most favorite football player, Zander. Sedona had bad luck once with a football player so now she's weary of those "types". Little does she know when she meets Zander that he's actually the nicest, most caring, thoughtful, non-"player" out there. However, he does have a jealous streak from one side of the US to the other. He also doesn't fit in to her no-nonsense college plans. After all, she is a double major with a strict schedule and bed time to follow.

Zander is smitten the first time he lays eyes on Sedona. He can't even think straight after their run in, literally. He will do whatever it takes to get to know her and make her his. However, he can be an "act-first-think-later" type of guy. He's definitely crazy for this serious gal who solves math problems to calm her nerves.

Sedona and Zander experience a few misunderstandings along the way before things start to fall in to place. I really enjoyed their relationship as it spanned over a 9 month time frame. It was nice to have a love story that didn't have instant-love and I love you's right away. It was far from it. The I Love You's came so much later in the book. Zander and Sedona built up a great relationship over time and learned how to deal with and over come the bumps/road blocks that come with a relationship.

The secondary characters were great. I loved Zander's posse, especially Xavier and John. Sedona seemed to have a good group as well that mixed in well with Zander and his friends. They were a great support group with good advice and lots of fun to be with. I would love to see more of these friends in another book.

Overall I enjoyed this love story and how it unfolded. I really liked Zander and Sedona. However, what I thought would be a sweet love story actually felt a little over powered by the physical side of their relationship. I would have enjoyed Love Unexpected so much more had the physical parts been toned down and not such a focal part of the story.

I felt the author left the book a bit open ended as Sedona worried over an important piece of information at the end of the book. It wasn't bad information, it was just a stress factor for her to deal with. I would have loved to see how that played out and with the people she worried about sharing this info with. Also, I didn't understand why we were left with an epilogue in another character's POV who didn't have their own POV through out the story. I would hope that meant there would be another book and it would be about this person?

So for now, Sedona and Zander will ride off to graduation with their HFN story. (Happy For Now). Although you are definitely left with the feeling they will have a HEA. Still, I felt like I could have used a tad bit more closure.

So I guess I will just start by saying this was a pretty steamy love story. Not what I was expecting. When I read the blurb on this book I was expecting a YA cute love story, but what I got was a NA steamy love story. I thought the premise of the book was great but I think all of the sex scenes kind of over powered the actual story line. I thought Zander and Sedona were great together when they were actually trusting and communicating with each other.

If you are wondering about the cliffhanger shelf....this book really didn't have a cliffhanger...it was more of a continuation. I felt that this story ended on a HFN (happy for now). The author, in my opinion, left a lot of things open. Which would lead to believe there could be another book. Something happens at the end of the book (nothing bad) that the author stresses how their parents will react, it just left me with a feeling that the story isn't really finished. Plus she did include an Epilogue with another character's POV (not Zander or Sedona) which leads me to the question why do that if there isn't a second book about his story.

I definitely liked the book but I didn't love it. I truly hope the author decides to write another book, so that my questions could be answered.

More than what I expected.
As soon as I started reading this book I've understood that there was more to the story than how I was expecting.
We have a plot, characters to care for and steaminess.I love the interactions between Zander and Sedona, they are really in love and are a fantastic couple together. We see them date, come to know each other, fall in love and face some obstacles long the way.
Zander is an excellent Gamma hero in my opinion.
When I read Chrissy's story I was very sad but this explains the strong reaction Zander has when Sedona meets Brennan behind his back, even if she does it to help him.
There are several loose ends when the book finishes...we have an HEA but some issues are not adressed and resolved. How will their parents' react when Sedona and Zander inform them of the pregnancy?
What with Sedona's career? How will they manage? And above all what about Kieran's secret?
Anyway I've enjoyed the story very much and hope to have a second book feauturing Sedona and Zander and even one about Kieran..since the ending and the epilogue seem the set-up for future books.

****STILL TO BE REVIEWED: *****TAGS CONTAIN SPOILERS

NOTES TO SELF:
The hero totally reminds me of Edward in Nolebucgrl's Sideline Collision. (Collegeward) He's the famous alleged womanizing Golden Boy quarterback and shes an OCD high aiming college student who plans her life right down to the last fart.

Needs MAJOR MAJOR editing. But I love him. He is too gorgeous and perfect for words. And she means the world to him. The minute he meets her she becomes his focus in life and nothing else matters as much. And this boy has everything:wealth, looks, great parents, he's an A student, woman literally p1$$ in their pants for him. No, really, I swear they do. There are cheesy moments in the book which must disappear with thorough doctoring by a good editor. I feel it's got so much potential and have given it a rare 4 outta 5 in GR.

He is OTT jealous/possessive/protection/kinda-obsessive-takes-5-guys-to-haul-him-off-and-restrain-him when someone dares to mess with the love of his life. And the football game scenes are to die for

Okay.. I should be happy after reading this.
WHY AM I NOT HAPPY!?!!?!!!!!! I feel like crying after reading the last paragraph, my heart is clenching and I just really feel like crying.
Trust me, this book has a HEA, but the last line of the last paragraph just left me speechless and I'm not sure what I should be feeling right now..
Now my mind keeps wondering "what if" , and this a really awesome book. I didn't even see that coming!! I might've thought about it in the beginning, but after a while, it didn't really seem possible anymore. I you haven't read this, pick it up!! My mind is just going crazy right now, it was a happy ending! I shouldn't feel like this!!! :( DAMNN THAT PARAGRAAAAPHHH!!! But I still absolutely love love LOVEEE this book!! Hopefully there's gonna be a second one!!

I actually enjoyed this book, it is your basic love story but you do get sucked into the storyline!

It's your typical college story about a smart beautiful girl and a hot college football star who fall in love and face some obstacles along the way. Their relationship is full of up's and downs but they learn that even if everything doesn't go according to plan it will all work out in the end.

I like how the book is written in both of their POVs and the supporting characters are played well into the story!

It was a sweet heart warming read but I wanted more drama and I felt the author left the book a bit open ended and wondered whether there was going to be a sequel? Overall a great read!

It was good. I enjoyed the story as I always do with N/A & college situations and all that. But the only problem I had were the smut scenes. I need more, LMAO. Why is he so experienced yet so fast? Just wondering...

And I don't need to know how hot he is 223498734 times throughout the book if you aren't going to explain in explicit detail, how hot he is in bed.

Forgot to mention: JPR was right about the epilogue. It was one hell of a doozy that I didn't see coming. At all. So I'm expecting another book on that, but no, this particular book is not a cliffhanger.

This book was okay. There wasn't a lot of drama going on which was kind of nice. I really did love Zander and Sedona but..

I loved Keirran! So that ending was kind of sad and depressing. I hope there's a book for him :)

I loved this story! Sedona is really goal oriented, and she’s kind of perfectionist, when it comes to her academics. She’s graduating at the top of her class (Summa Cum Laude), and she’s minoring in Chemistry (impressive & repulsive at the same time- ha ha). Her days are meticulously planned and she has plans. She knows what she wants in the future, and she’s on her way to achieving her dreams. She also has a good head on her shoulders, a good group of friends (and one hot male BFF, Kieran). At first, I thought there might be a love-triangle between Kieran, Zander, and Sedona.

It didn’t happen. I think it would’ve been interesting to read about Kieran and Sedona’s relationship sparking, after Zander enters the picture, which ignites both Kieran and Sedona’s feelings for each other. That would’ve been fun! But nah, this didn’t happen; yet, I wasn’t bummed at all.

Because Zander, on the other hand, was one hot hunk of a man; he really impressed me! He’s the son of a billionaire, as well as a very popular football jock on campus. All the girls want him, and he could have any woman he chooses. Yet, when he bumps into Sedona, he KNOWS she’s the one he wants. Everything else is history.

Some of the hurdles Zander and Sedona faced and overcame were typical college-like, realistic, issues. So I had no qualms about it. I enjoyed their drama, make-ups, bickering, and of course, their steamy loOoove scenes. ;)

The epilogue kind of threw me off. Way off. And the ending was a bit unexpected, but I think everything turned out OK. The story was definitely entertaining, and I loved that Sedona resisted Zander in the beginning. And all the misunderstandings & jealousy issues turned out to be HOT (and well written)!

If you love college settings, and lots of smut, definitely give this one a read.

The cover intrigued me. Love and football is a perfect combination. I read the blurb and decided to give it a try. I was not disappointed in the least. We meet Sedona a young college student who has her whole life planned out for her. She has an accidental meeting with Zander the colleges football star. They are instantly intrigued by one another. Sedona isnt interested in dating someone like Zander. She likes her privacy and Zander is in the lime light. Zander doesn't want anyone but her. Although there are some misunderstandings. He is a serial dater. She has a ex boyfriend that won't accept that they are broken up. Sedona decides to give it a shot. She just can't ignore her feelings any longer. They are good together. Their story is full of up and downs. Sedona needs to figure out if Zander is more important than her orderly life she has become accustomed to.

This story was really very sweet. Zander was such a good boyfriend to her. He was patient and kind with her. They were exactly what each other needed. I loved their chemistry. They weren't hurtful with one another but honest mostly. There were a few moments that I thought things were going to take a turn in the wrong direction. So not your typical drama. All in all I really enjoyed reading this story. Now Sedona did have a best friend his name was Kieran. I think there is more to his story than meets the eye. I would love to find out where these crazy kids future is headed. Happily ever after or happy for now? The author kept you guessing and wanting more. One of those unexpected reads that makes you think about happily ever after.

I feel the writing is kinda odd. There is something off in it and it doesn’t flow smoothly. Both Sedona and Zander tend to speak/describe the same thing over and over. Yeah I get that they are both hot. They don’t need to tell me in every chapter or Sedona that constantly tells me that she needs 6.5 hours sleep every night. I’m sure once or twice is enough for me to understand it. They also use too many babe and/or baby as their term of endearment it makes me cringe every time they use it.

Since the story span in a long time, there are lots of things that happen to them. Unfortunately I feel like they are only in the surface and solve way too easy. Sometimes even when they just begin, the next few chapters it's already solved. Hence I feel like most of their problems come out of the blue and disappear quickly without even I realize it. To be honest I prefer if they have few problems but it dig deeper to create the obstacles or drama in their relationship.

The good thing is I really like the interaction between Sedona and her bestfriends, they are funny and their conversation makes me smile and giggle with them. Her relationship with Zander is also nice to read. I cannot help not to grin whenever they are together. And I also like how determine Sedona to set her goal and is also confident in her own skin, though there are also insecurity in herself (which I feel it appears out of the blue since she seems doesn’t have it in the first half of the book).

I'm not that impressed with the book, but I'm not saying that it's bad either. It isn't the worse book I read this year so far. So I guess it makes it an okay reading.

overall an okay story and I loved the H. The h wasn’t great though. I liked that the author tried to do something a little different with her but overall I found her very self involved and insensitive to those around her. The timeline on this drove me nuts—the H was playing football through the spring (college football ends in Jan) and they were starting multiple new semesters that didn’t seem to fit with the actual calendar of schools and sports. Changing the name of the NFL to the NFA just seemed like an unnecessary change. The MCs were together quite a long time & seemed very serious but somehow neither of them realized they were in love. There were a couple plot points— the ex-gf, the gossip blog, the ex-bf, the sister, the mom—that seemed to be something important and then just fall off the radar. It seemed like the author had a lot of ideas and didn’t pick one or two and flesh them out fully. The most exciting part of the book was the epilogue.

I loved Sedona and Zander's story, of course I love any romance story that doesn't have a cliffhanger. What made the book fabulous were the quirky lines between the characters especially between Zander and his buddies. "Yes, she is. And if you don't stop staring at her fine-ness, I'm going to clobber all of you side by side into the ground." I also love when Sedona explains why she does PDA it really made my heart mealt. "I'm proud to have you as my boyfriend Zander. I think that gives me the right to kiss you or hug you or hold you in public. It's about time people get used to that." I really can't wait to see if the author has any more books come out I truly enjoyed this book a lot.

This one was just okay for me. It was a sweet, quick semi-steamy read with little drama and angst. I guess my biggest complaint would be that i found the dialogue to be a bit cheesy at times. Several times I thought to myself "who says that?"

And the epilogue?!? What was up with that? I can see where there could be a second book. This book didn't end on a cliffhanger but left it kind of open where more of the story could be told. And based on the epilogue I imagine more drama and angst in the next book.
