Here Comes Trouble
Trauma Nurse Terri Cassidy's life went to hell after her best friend and boss moved to Amarillo. Her new boss, a male doctor, has wandering hands and he thinks Terri has to put up with it. She files a complaint against him, but unbelievably the hospital board suspends her, instead of him. Needing a break and somewhere to lick her wounds, Terri heads to see her very pregnant friend to figure out what she is going to do with her life.
When she gets to Amarillo, she finds more than she is looking for. Joel Rhodes, a sexy attorney turned dude rancher, who just happens to be her best friend's brother-in-law and a man she'd had sex with a year before, offers her a job as a medic on his dude ranch.
The previous year while helping her friend move, Terri had gotten to know Joel and identified with his depression over his wife cheating with his law partner. Terri was five years past her own divorce from a serial cheater and knew exactly what he was feeling, lost, unsure and insecure.
Even after he'd all but told her she would just be the first flavor of many he planned to sample, and even though casual sex wasn't her thing, Terri had sex with him. Because she wanted him, and he needed her to restore his confidence.
Now that she was going to work for him though things could get sticky, because even though Terri had had a one-night-stand with him, she was a relationship kind of woman and he was definitely still not that man.
Resisting the sexy rancher was going to be tough. The man was like a hot fudge sundae to her, decadent, delicious, irresistible, but oh so bad for her. Terri had to try though, because she needed the job, and she deserved a man who wanted more than one night.
Joel Rhodes was determined to break his one-woman mentality. Five years of faithfulness had only gotten him cheated on and broke. Like ice cream, he only planned to sample each of the thirty-one flavors once, before moving on to the next. There was no way in hell he was going the relationship route again...ever.
Broken down and broken-hearted, Joel leaves his Dallas law firm and his ex-wife to his former business partner, who she had cheated with. A ranch goes up for sale in his hometown, so he buys it and converts it to a dude ranch. During the summer when he was a teenager, his grandfather had taught him what ranching meant, and to Joel it meant peace and calm. He needed that now, and he was sure other burned out professionals would need it too.
He'd almost found his new Zen, when flavor number one, Terri Cassidy, shows up on his doorstep to see his sister-in-law, upset and unemployed. Overhearing their conversation, he figures out the woman who'd helped him get back on the horse when he was depressed and lost a year prior, had gotten a raw deal at the hospital where she worked.
Joel has plenty of reservations, but he offers Terri a job at this ranch to provide medical services to his guests. Quickly he realizes his error in judgment, because being that close to the beautiful and sassy woman on a daily basis has Joel rethinking his flavor system, and wanting a lot more than her delicious body.
Before he can convince Terri that she's his forever favorite flavor though, his ex-wife reappears, people start dropping like flies and Joel has more trouble than he can shake a stick at.
Even though Joel believes trouble rode into the R&R Ranch with the petite brunette, he finds out that maybe his salvation came with her too.

A great deal of thinking, planning and plotting must have gone into the writing of this book. Loved it! There were so many twists and turns to the adventures of Terri and Joel that a rattle snake would be embarassed.
Joel is opening a dude ranch after being forced to leave his thriving law practice. Terri is being forced to leave the hospital after a groping boss tries it on one too many times. Of course the dude ranch needs a nurse.
This however is not their first meeting. They know each other..intimately. At one point Terri is clinging to a tree branch over a raging river. At another point Joel is hobbling around in a cast or in a wheel chair. Oh did I mention his mother is shot in the arm. Just a few teasers for such a great book. It is HOT, fast moving, loving and emotion packed. I chuckled, I shed a tear, I couldn't put the book down. A great read, thank you Ms. McGraw.

As the series has progressed, moving on and further away from the original set of characters I was worried I wouldn't enjoy the last two books as much. Well I soon got over that because *with a Texas twang* "I do declare" the last two were most definitely my favourite. There was so much packed into this one I was engrossed and got about an hours sleep one night! Cowboy up? Joel up!

Here Comes Trouble is the eight book in the Texas Trouble series and it is one of my favorites. It is the story of Joel Rhodes and Terri Cassidy, he is an attorney turned dude rancher and she is a trauma nurse. He is smart, sexy, handsome and sometimes a little dumb when it comes to how to communicate with a woman. She is fiery, sassy, smart and beautiful and when she becomes sick of her new touchy feely boss she heads to see her old boss and best friend, Jenny who is married to Joel's brother Chase. Joel offers her a job as a medic on his dude ranch but soon his ex shows up and things quickly begin to go downhill from there, especially Joel's good sense of communication.
I loved this book, it was loaded with romance, passion, friends, family and lots of suspense. I really fell in love with Joel's mother, she is far from the straight laced lady I thought she was, she is a real hoot.
This is a great book and even greater series, give it a try if you haven't. Five troublesome stars for this one for sure!!

Joel,Joel, Joel! Crazy man!
We first met Joel in Chase"s story when he hooked up with Jenny's best friend. Now it has been a year and he is finally opening his resort. When Terri needs a job he decides to hire her for his resort. Joel is still a mess. He has not really gotten his life together yet and all the loose threads are unraveling. He is arrested thrown in jail and Terri has almost died in a storm. When Mama finally steps in and takes charge who knows what the heck will happen. Curly wants grandbabies she will figure out a way. It was a fantastic storyline. Bravo Becky write on!

Great diversion!
This book was great! When it comes to romance if it weren't for bad luck Joel Rhodes would have no luck! I enjoyed the path to romance here it was great.

Omg! I wanted to punch Joel, as I'm sure Terri did too. After his wife cheated on him with his best friend and business partner . Joel returns to his home town and spends one night of passion with Terri... A year later and she still can't get him out of her head... Terri is a nurse and the new doctor in the ER, can't keep his old pervy hands to himself... He's also incompetent and passes the blame to her... Terri decides she's had enough after her colleagues can't stand up for her and decides to leave... Ending up going to her friend Jennny's she's made an offer she can't refuse and stays... There's lots of twists and turns, it's a fast paced storyline! I loved it!!!

Really 3.5, being generous. This was an adventure. This story really started in the middle of Chase and Jenny's story, your just finally getting the dirt on it. Love these southern boys with all their charm and sweet talking. Have to say that I was taken by surprise a couple of times with the plot twist. Started out with a lot of denial between Joel and Terri and then I thought are they ever getting together sort of dragged then their chemistry showed that there was no fighting it. Then it all goes crazy and the story line is completely changed. Overall pretty good story.

This was Terri's and Joel's story. Joel is Chase's brother and also co owner of their dude ranch. As they get it up and running, Joel's is facing a lot of financial problems. His money is tied up in his divorce from his first wife, Karen She turns up at the ranch and her and Joel get into a fight, after he comes back from a date with Terri. Karen wants to get back together. She suddenly turns up dead and Joel is arrested. What happens next is a surprise, you have to read to find out what happens next.

nother great read from Becky. Joel And Terri's book is a couple made for each other they complement each other if only Joel could get his head out of the clouds and the fall out of his ex's betrayal. This book has everything from ex wife’s, ex partners, explosions not just wells but explosive arguments, sexual harassment, dead bodies and random shooting and it was all directed at Joel and Terri. This book had me up till 2:30am to finish it I couldn’t put it down until I found out how they get trough everything and was worth it. Can’t wait to read next book in this series

I love this series and author. I very much enjoyed Terri and Joel's story. They've had hot chemistry since the last book.
I do have a question, did Terri every get her antibiotics? It mentioned after her creek resume she needed the,m and had a fever but nothing more.

How do you deal with life when you have been handed a troubling

Okay, characters reactions were little immature, swinging from one reaction to another, like teenagers. A lot of action for a small town, I don't know it just didn't feel connect all the way for me....sugar..**cringe**

Action, Drama, and oh yeah romance
The story was good although a bit long. I will also add the turn off was the action and drama. Therefore if you only want romance, this isn't the book.

Wow!
This one is a roller coaster of a ride. Terri and Joel have way too much to deal with to even consider a relationship. A year after they meet, another bad situation forces them together. From there, hold on to your hats!

Another great story
I keep thinking with each book in this series that they can't get any better, but they do. The humor, excitement, love and sex just keep you reading.

i prefer the longer stories in this series like this one. I feel like the characters are more developed.
