Was available free on amazon kindle (Well it was free last week, it seems to be 77p now). I have just finished 'Peice of Me', overall it well worth a read..
One of the main reasons i read this book was because a review on Amazon mentioned that it was alike "The Dresden Files", I would say it more closely liked towards the Hallows series by Kim Harrison.
It has some writing issues and even some obvious spelling mistakes, which could have been avoided with a proof read. There's a section in the book where it uses percentages which is a tad confusing because it comes off as 1% instead of an 100% (it was something like: 0.30% 0.15% 0.15% so on that accounted to 1%). Things like that made me gave the book 3 stars instead of 4 stars.
Some other pet-peeve i had about the book the character came of as a bit naive, a walkover and a bit shallow. The triangle between Q and Phil seems a-bit ridiculous to me, she comes off as a bit sex craved like it overrides her logic and Independence. For a women who in a high position job and claims to be independent and not take crap from anybody.
Also Phil attitude annoyed the heck out of me. I understand the author 'tried' to make Phil an 'Alpha' male because he a werewolf, but seriously he just comes off as a needy, over-intruding ass. He always seems to have to have the attention on him, and think he is the ... I think it suppose to come off as charismatic, but unfortunately it doesn't.
Overall I would rate it 3.5 out of 5 stars, and mainly due to the writing issues, from a book gotten from Amazon (not read on the fiction press website or fan-fiction). Especially now they are charging from the book.
