This volume is another one of those that didn't really do it for me. I mean, there's no such thing as a BAD volume of Black Jack in my opinion. But the stories in this definitely feel a bit... less? Than their previous counterparts. I didn't feel like I was seeing as much of Black Jack in a lot of them, and the situations feel uncannily similar to those in earlier stories, where they were done as well or better.
The only part of this I thought was truly unique and fascinating was another story with Black Jack's nemesis, the doctor who assists terminally ill people with suicide. I thought this gave a look at that doctor unlike the ones we've seen before and it had a lot of strength.
