The second in a series of erotic novellas, each featuring different women whose lives are changed by Ramon Mendez, a handsome, charismatic lover of women...
Thirty-six-year-old Emma's life looks as perfect as could be. She loves her straight-laced husband Gary, who has given her three beautiful children and a secure life. But something is missing in her marriage. Gary hardly notices her anymore and she feels frumpy and invisible.
Her friend, Lisa, talks her into joining a social boot camp class at the local gym. Emma immediately recognises their instructor as the gorgeous runner she sees each evening while walking her dog in the park. He introduces himself as Ramon Mendez. In spite of herself Emma is besotted.
Before long her mind is filled with guilty fantasies of him. One evening, when things at home have become too much to bear, she bumps into him alone in the park. An opportunity presents itself and no one need ever know. Ramon promises and delivers everything that's missing from her marriage - passion, romance and excitement - but Emma must discover if they are the things she really wants.

Emma is married with three children. As a lot of couples experience once children come into the picture, Emma and her husband have drifted apart. Their lives have become routine. While her husband's focus is on work, hers is on the children and the home. Emma still loves her husband and longs for the days past when with just one look they were all over each other. She is supportive of her husband's career and appreciates all he does for the family, but she can't help but think that he doesn't love her anymore because all her attempts at rekindling the romance in their marriage have been rejected by him. She is not naive, she knows that their dynamic has changed, but she wants to be seen, cherished and loved by her husband. She plans to take her husband on a weekend getaway to revive the sex in their marriage and encouraged by her friend she joins a gym class to lose some weight before her birthday.
In comes Ramon. He is her instructor in the Boot Camp class she joined. She can't believe her luck - good or bad - that Ramon is the very man who has played the main role in her fantasies since the day she saw him running in the park where she walks her dog. To her surprise, he recognizes her and encourages her to continue with the class when she's ready to quit. She struggles with the workouts and her needs and when the opportunity presents itself to be with Ramon, she decides to put her needs aside and be faithful to her husband. However, as the days pass and the distance between her and her husband increases she finds herself questioning her decision.
Once again, the writing was very good. With flirtatious dialogue, real emotions and lust-filled rendezvous, Kate Belle brought to the page a believable story of rediscovering oneself and going for what we want. The story felt real to me and I easily related to Emma. She had concerns about her marriage that a lot of women have and that made it easy for me to connect to her. From a desperate, confused woman to a determined wife who wanted her husband to see her, her development was a joy to read. I admired her perseverance and her courage.
This time around Ramon surprised me even more. He was gentle and understanding and his awareness of what Emma needed to find herself were right on point. Everything he conveyed was enlightening and added to the story, especially to the way Emma would carry herself later on.
I am looking forward to reading more about Ramon and the way he helps women rediscover themselves.
Ramon is back and this time he has set his sights on a new woman. Set a few months (this my guess) after the first book Breaking the Rules, this second novella, Bloom, focuses on Ramon’s working life. Ramon is working as a fitness trainer, but don’t worry: he is still working on his PhD when he happens to meet Emma who appears to be his next case. Emma has seen him around the park where she walks her dog and has been admiring him as he runs. However, she does not know who he is and she is about to after she gets roped into signing up for a gym class. Her friend, Lisa, has signed her up for Boot Camp where Ramon is the trainer and he recognises the family dog Nag he got himself tangled up with at the park which is perfect for his plans.
Emma’s marriage is in a rut. After three kids, she and her husband Gary have grow apart. She’s dealing with the kids and the drat dog and he’s engrossed in his work to the point that he seems that he doesn’t care about anything else and gives in to whatever the kids want. She has tried everything to get his attention and she wants to go back to the old days when the kids were younger and she and Gary got up to naughty stuff on her birthday when they spent the night in a hotel while the kids were with a babysitter. Her only sexual outlet these days is coming from her vibrator, known as Mr. Buzzy. Therefore, she comes up with a plan to try and get Gary interested again by arranging to have an extra special night in a hotel on her birthday which happens to be coming up in a few weeks.
Ramon, the man that he is, notices Emma is struggling and starts building a rapport with her. Soon the sexual tension builds as all his attention is causing Emma body to reawaken. Plus, Lisa’s digs about Ramon‘s intentions is making Emma take a walk on the wild side which leads to interesting results as Ramon finally makes his move. Warning: it involves chocolate, a hotel room and a wicked mind.
The basic formula is same in this book: the woman needs help and Roman notices and takes advantage so he can help the woman. But what makes each story different is the women are from very different walks of life and they are dealing with different problems.
5 couples and I love how Belle is setting up the series. I got to find out more about Ramon, I’m a happy reader and reviewer and hope we don’t have to wait too long for the next novella in the series.
I will say that I just didn't connect with Ramon as much as I was hoping I would. I wanted to like him and thought that things would end differently in the first book, but when I got to the second book I thought, okay maybe this will end how I expect, no not so much. He is like the modern day Don Juan. He is out to provide his services to awaken women's sexual pleasure as well as make them realize what they want out of a relationship. NOW that being said...I just didn't get sucked in as much as I was thinking I would.
I thought of the first book (Breaking the Rules) hey, they are two single of legal age why not screw around and have some fun. If you are with a guy who seems to know exactly what they want it as well as seeming to know exactly what that particular woman's body can do as well as what it wants. I mean, could you imagine??? I would make an appointment with him! But when it all comes down to it, he really is nothing more than a man whore. He just wants sex with no commitment and that's what he does. I almost felt like he took advantage of these women. He looks at them finds their weakness and then pounces. I think that would be the reason I was not so drawn in. Not unless I got to see the consequences of those actions.
The second book, (Bloom) well, what can I say. I know that MANY women go through exactly what Emma was going through having kids and just feeling a disconnect with your own life, as well as feeling undesirable.
NOW, I think for me, I liked that one less because I am not a fan of cheating. I don't dislike a book on that alone, but when there is really no reason for a woman to cheat. All she has to do is talk to her husband. She doesn't though. Instead, she sleeps with another man. But I know that is how most affairs start. The new attention is intoxicating. I just wasn't a fan of the second one as much as I wanted to be. I think it might have been even interesting to have him be a sex therapist for the two of them together. That might have been a better spin on things. Because, well I don't think she should have cheated. Then he does his normal "satisfy" then leave and tell her she will now be happy in her marriage for the most part. I was just a bit at a loss as far as that goes.
This second book is about a married stayed at home mother with kids. Since getting older and having kids Emma has put on some weight and on top of that her marriage with Gary isn't all that great. Gary works 72 hours a week and when he is home he lays in front of the TV or goes to sleep. She tries to seduce him but his excuse always is that he is tired. She feels she isn't getting anything from him because of her weight so she starts walking their crazy dog, Nag, in the park and that is where she seems Ramon for the first time. She ends up going to the park every evening just to look at Ramon and fantasize about him.
She meets up with her friend, Lisa, who gets Emma to sign up for a few week boot camp to lose weight and tone her body. Emma is hesitant because she cannot remember the last time she exercised properly but ends up signing up with Lisa. At the boot camp she finds Ramon to be the instructor and this is where their relationship will form.
I won't go into the details nor talk about the book anymore because I like for the readers to read the book and find out what happens but I will say a few things.
I disliked Ramon for how he came onto Emma. She is married and he knows she wants him but can't have him yet the things he does to her makes her want to forget she is married.
I am not ok when it comes to cheating...and Emma living out her fantasies with Ramon is considered cheating but I loved how he was attentive to her and how he understood her. How he took care of her and gave her what she needed. Did Ramon save their marriage? I thought he did but then Gary comes back from his trip after missing Emma's birthday and things change.
I will say this...Kate Belle knows how to create stories. I cannot get enough of Ramon. I want more of him. Can't wait for other books!!
As with the first book, with this book I know a lot of married women with kids will relate. Maybe it will help them? Not to live out fantasies with a gorgeous man (haha) but teach them how to speak up about what they want and how. And I still want to know...how does Ramon show up at the right time and helps the right people? Or does he? :)
I really enjoyed the first book in this series so I was looking forward to Bloom but unfortunately I didn’t enjoy this as much as Breaking The Rules.
The main issue is that this book centres on adultery and in its own way implies that sometimes cheating is not only acceptable but necessary.
Emma is stuck in a less than perfect marriage. Her husband is hardly ever around and when he is he either sleeps, ignores her, or condescends her. He never helps around the house; he never helps with the kids and regularly sets them against her. He even goes on a business trip on her birthday even though she has booked a romantic weekend away for the two of them. He is completely inconsiderate, he won’t have sex with her and shies away when she touches him and makes her feel bad about herself and her body.
When Emma meets the rather dashing Ramon her head is turned and eventually they start having an affair. The dalliance is never anything serious, emotions are not involved but Ramon makes her feel wanted, appreciated, he sees her when her husband does not. The affair is more about Emma finding herself and finding the confidence to do something about her life at home.
The thing is, I don’t really blame Emma, and in fact I felt really sorry for her. I do not think I could stay with a man who treated me so poorly, yet she was determined to. But I do not agree with adultery in any form, it is a hard limit for me in relationships. Yet, I also think that if a marriage (especially when children are involved) can be saved it should be. It is all rather confusing because I think if Emma had not had an affair with Ramon she would have gotten a divorce and where would that have left the three children?
This book unconsciously asks a lot of questions that a lot of readers might not be comfortable with. As a book it could have been better and did not match the level of the first book. The storyline was not as engaging and the characters not as likeable. Even Ramon seemed a little duller in this.
The publisher provided me with a free copy of this book in exchange for and honest review
Yet another steamy sexy erotic book by Kate Belle with our favorite leading man Ramon. I am typical into reading Romance novels because the characters usually end up together. This one is a little different.
Emma is your typical 30 something housewife with 3 kids and a busy husband who works all the time. She has let herself go and carries a little extra weight on her, so to tone up and get her body back in hopes are igniting the spark between her and her husband Gary she decided to join Boot Camp at the local gym with a friend. There she meets her instructor and the guy she has fantasized about on more than 1 occasion Ramon. Ramon is back and it's his mission to bring out the sexy vibrant woman that Emma has locked away for so many years. Will Ramon help her so she can revive her marriage or her marriage actually over?
Just like Breaking the Rules, Kate Belle, didn’t disappoint in this fun sexy erotic novella. From the late night romp against a tree to the chocolate fondue, this book was downright sexy! I now have a new passion for chocolate (yummy). I really related to Emma because much like all of us women out there after we get married and add a few kids in the mix our lives become so hectic we forget who we once were and sometimes we just need a little help and guidance to get that girl back. If that guidance and help comes in the form of a man like Ramon than whom am I to complain? I hope and pray that Ramon comes back to visit us again soon to see what lady he decides to save next with his out of this world sexually appetite. I am hoping maybe I will get a knock at my door from a dark, sexy, Spanish man! One could hope.
He’s back!! Ramon Mendez is once again bringing his sexual skills to light. We follow Emma - a 36 year old from the suburbs. This wife and mother of three is feeling low. She thinks her life is ‘dull’, has lost the excitement it had prior to having her children. She has gained weight, had let her children ‘run amuck’, and has lost the intimacy in her marriage.
Emma and her best friend Lisa enroll in a fitness boot camp. The teacher is none other than Ramon. During classes - Ramon takes extra time with Emma to ensure she is getting the proper instruction. Emma finds herself daydreaming about the hunky Ramon.
Situations present themselves that leave Emma at a crossroads. Will she learn how to be assertive? Can she find the ‘spark’ to ignite her marriage again? Or, is her marriage beyond repair?
Kate Belle has written an explosive story with great sexual energy. She does and excellent job building her characters, which are completely relatable. I look forward to reading more from this author!
Bloom is what either love or lust can do to a person . It can help us to bloom into a gorgeous person that we are inside , it can help us bloom from a caterpillar to a butterfly and spread our wings or in the case of this novel spread our legs to all our sexual fantasies. Bloom tells the tale of Ramon and Emma and well ... Gary. For weeks on end , Emma has been out walking their dog Nag when she spots a handsome runner , fascinated by him she heads home and dreams of her sexual encounters with him. You see , Emma's husband Gary works all the time and she has been feeling under-appreciated and wonders if its her. When her best friend Lisa suggests boot camp , Emma joins up with her and to Emma's surprise the instructor is the hottie from the park - the runner. Soon an attraction of lust arrives and Emma and Ramon start having sex . Can Ramon help teach Emma to Bloom and show her the way she can seduce her husband once again ? Bloom is a quick and raunchy read that does involve some graphic sexual scenes.
In this book we find out that sexy Ramon, PHD candidate from Breaking the Rules, has a day job as an instructor at a gym. Emma is a mid 30’s stay at home mom who has put on some weight and has lost her self-respect. Her husband works all the time and her kids treat her like dirt. She can’t remember when the last time she and her husband made love. Emma is determined to get herself out of her rut and so joins a boot-camp at the gym. Ramon helps Emma to once again see herself as a vibrant, sexy woman and encourages her to get her marriage out of the rut its fallen into.
This is a well told story and while there are elements I had issues with I think the author handled it well. This story can be read as a stand-alone but I think that the reader will better understand Ramon’s motivations if they read Breaking the Rules first.
I thank the publisher and NetGalley for the chance to read and review

Really interesting tale that had my attention the whole time. The pace was wonderful and the characters engaging. Great dynamic in the relationship that made it very believable. Beautiful storytelling that entertained the whole time!
It had really great flow and did the job of making me think at times. I love a book that taps into my emotions. I am a real sucker for a sexy romance!! I laugh, I cry and I wish the hero were real so he could be mine! LOL
I would love to see more from this author! Definitely one to watch in the future.
I received this ARC from NetGalley in exchange for my honest review. Thank you.
This one was a much easier read than the first one in the series.
Personally I don't care for adultery. I don't see how 2 sex affairs would bring you closer to your husband.
Emma has fallen into body image issues and is running the family solitary. Her husband works hard to provide for his family and is often too tired to partake in sex. Emma wants the romance back with her husband.
Ramon is teaching a body boot camp and takes a special interest in getting Emma in shape. He wants to Ignite the passion in Emma.
This one was much better than the first book in the series. I'm not sure if it's because I knew what to expect, or that it was just that much better. But, I though it was cute. At first I was pretty happy I'd never gotten married and had kids if a relationship could end up like Emma and Gary's.
I like how Ramon taught her to love her body enough to get back into shape along with know what she wants from a lover.
Again, I liked it more than the first. I just find it hard to get invested when the main characters you are reading about are so casual about each other.

With Ramon as her main character in these novellas Kate Belle knows how to make learning about ones self erotic. This is the second book in this series and just as good as the first. Ramon steps in and helps women discover their true sensual nature along with helping them discover what they want and how to go about getting it. This is not just an erotic novel Kate shares with us but a story that we can all relate to at some level. I recommend this novella to all who have an open mind and who crave a hot..sedge teacher to show us the light :-)
Kate Belle proves with her novellas that she is an accomplished and very talented author. Her command of language and distinct style in using it, ensures these erotic stories are told with class and charisma. Her ability to portray sexy Ramon as the consummate lover and educator of women in the art of making true love, transcends many other authors abilities. Roll-on number 3 novella please, Ms Belle.
ARC courtesy by NetGalley Though the story is better than Breaking The Rules, but still I quite don't like it. Really? A marriage woman cheating on her husband? Not my cup of tea. Although she realized what she did was wrong, I can't accept that. Still she's cheating, enjoy it, and did it more than once. That's why I gave one star. It's just not my taste.
Hot hot hot loved this book mom wife feeling unloved and not appreciated she tries with her husband but there's always an excuse tired from work etc along comes Ramos who knows just what to do.definitely recommend this book :)
