Living on her own private Caribbean island home would be bliss for romance writer Cat Gamble. . .if she had some studly hunk to share it with. All work and no foreplay make Cat a very dull girl! So she puts an ad on the Internet inviting some good-looking boy-toys to come play. When Captain Jack Spankevopoulos offers to kidnap her and make her an exotic love slave on his Captive Fantasy, she's hot for it--and for him.
But who knew she would be captured by the wrong pirates?
Now Cat is the sex slave of two real pirates who are holding her for ransom. . .and their own personal sexual pleasure. Instead of being scared, Cat is aroused by the sensual orgy surrounding her. Now free to indulge in every secret fantasy she's ever had, Cat wonders whether she wants to escape--or surrender to her own erotic desires. . .
WARNING! This is a REALLY HOT book (SEXUALLY EXPLICIT)
The story was just strange and did not flow. It had plenty of sex but somehow not fullfilling(LOL).The Hero and Heroine did not meet until the end of the book but yet the whole time they yearned for each other.Just was a very hard book to get into.
I agree with Marion's review...it was so disconnected and such an odd story that I couldn't get into it. I didn't even finish it - it wasn't worth my time. There was just too many elements of domination, spirits, longing for love, multiple partners, same sex, etc. etc. it seemed so disjointed. I would pass and not read this author again.
I was really enjoying what I was reading until I come upon chapter 12. I'm really not into forcing sex on others. Most, & I mean most, people don't agree with being forced to do things against their will. And I really do not agree with ANY type of slavery! The only reason this story would get a decent rating is because I actually enjoy the camaraderie between the good guys.
I've actually read a few books by this author, published by Black Lace. I think most of those were historical and had interesting settings- Alaskan Gold Rush, New Orleans etc. This has a fairly exotic setting in that much of it is set on a Carribean island, but it's a contemporary. I did wonder if there was another book which preceded this story as the setting, with the three swashbuckling housemates was a bit abrupt. As for the rest, I may have outgrown this type of book. Stockholm syndrome aside, the heroine's reaction to her captors is not particularly credible, nor is the strength of her relationship with Jack, based on a phone call. Not my cup of tea, but maybe someone else's....
