Although the book is from the late 1990's-early 2000's and mostly leans in a limit hold'em-centric direction, it's a beginning poker book if one is interested in going from a recreational mindset to a more serious winning approach.

This was the first poker book I ever read and I found it useful for limit Texas Hold Em games, especially the section on starting hands.

Excellent beginners poker book, you will have more knowledge than your average "weekly home game player" if you use this as a foundation you will become a successful player!
