There are always new pointers on this subject because it is so big. Very well written book. That said, I have to question the push for 'dry' landscapes in CA that are encouraged by the water companies and his warning that they are all quick to burn if planted too close to the home. Most of us can't plant our landscapes 10' away from our house.

At the very least, it's interesting and informative - this is not always a given. Some books with good information fail to present the facts in a way to hold your interest long enough to read them. Not so here. Just flipping through it to decide if I wanted to purchase it, I kept getting caught up here and there throughout.

Well illustrated, factual, helpful - one of the most complete books I've seen on the subject.
