Bonnie Thurston is a former professor at Pittsburgh Theological Seminary and an expert on the life of Thomas Merton, prayer and poetry. There are several books out there now that deal with "Sabbath Making" -- taking time to savor God's creation and listen for God's spirit afoot in the world, not letting the urgent drive out the important. This slim volume is one of the simplest and the best of these works.
