I was always a fan of Doug's from his radio days in LA and would search out his columns on line. This book is still Doug at his irreverent best , while wrapping his story about his late wife's agonizing and tragic illness.

Fascinating memoir of author's colorful life interspersed with the bittersweet memoir of his much younger wife, their bumpy road to romance and losing her far too soon.
